I went to the website Recyclebank and you earn points by pledging to recycle, say, 100 ziplock bags, etc. Or refer friends. No offense, but I’m not interested in pledging to recycle things at this time

      Serena-

those are things you can do, but there are lots of other ways to earn like watching videos or learning about recycling that are super easy.

    • sarasota

not true, Serena. I got 100s of point just by learning/watching a few video and guess answers to easy questions. Besides, you SHOULD be recycling plastics/glass etc. with your local trash pickup anyway. If not, you truly are lazy.

      • serena

Thanks for calling names, lol. I just stated my preference at this time 🙂 Thanks for the info on the videos. I might head back!

        • melissa

serena, for the Ziploc, you enter the code that is on the package (it will be specially marked) and you get points. I believe you can enter codes from Kashi and a few other products for points. There’s also videos’ and quizzes to earn points and free codes pop up now and then. My city does not participate in curbside recycling at this time, but I still have accumulated over 400 points just from those sources.

      • Lindsey

I agree with you 100%. People who don’t recycle, when the option is available and easy to use, are lazy. It disgusts me.

Serena – if you don’t use Recycle Bank, that’s just fine. More coupons for me 🙂

        • morgan

          good grief………………

          • Renee

Why do people type things that they wouldn’t say to someone’s face?????I have a friend who doesn’t recycle either and instead of name calling I told her why I’m recycling and opened a dialogue with her about it. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

      • Be nice!

Why would you be so rude? Maybe Serena lives in a place where recycling is not available. We don’t all live in big cities where curbside recycling is available. At least Serena was sincere and didn’t make the pledge just to get the reward, when she knew she would not follow through.

      • Holly

Recycling isn’t available in many places. I respect people that don’t say they will do something if they know they will not or cannot follow through on their promise.

You can only buy one kashi coupon per account

    jen

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

cannot print kashi coupon,it says:….The total value of items in your cart exceeds your point balance. You will not be able to checkout if your available points are less than your cart total

Totally don’t understand.i’m new to recyclebank site.
Anybody can help me how it works??thanks

    • serena

It’s because you haven’t taken any quizzes or anything to earn the points to “buy” the coupon.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought a kashi coupon, but I’m wondering do I have to print it now?? Can I leave it in my account and print it once I know CVS is having it on sale?

    • Lindsey

It will stay active in your account for 1 month after you buy it 🙂 You can print it anytime before the 1 month ends.

  5. tes

I ordered a Kashi coupon, but do I have to print it today? Can I wait to print it until I know some store will be having Kashi on sale?

    • tes

Sorry for the double post. Also can you have 1 account for each person in your family? Or is it 1 account per household?

      • Collin

In the Terms of Service https://www.recyclebank.com/about-us/privacy/, it states-

If it is determined that more than one Account has been created at the same location and that any improper information has been entered on such Accounts, all Accounts affiliated with the Participating Household and any orders placed from that location shall be immediately cancelled.

So, I’d assume it is one per household.

    • Collin

Hmm…I don’t think you need to print it today, but honestly, I’m not sure how long it can stay in your account or if it ever “disappears”? Once the coupon is printed it will expire in 30 days.

      • Rebecca

If you don’t print it today at the “sale” price and leave it in your cart, when you do get around to printing it you are printing it at whatever the current price is. Once the item goes in your cart, it does not deduct points from your available balance until printed. I had this happen with the Honest Tea coupons a while back, when they went on “sale”. I wasn’t hooked up to a printer at the time I checked out. When I went back later to print the current price was deducted.

        Hope this helps!

        • Collin

Thanks for the helpful update Rebecca! 🙂

          • melissa

I think if you buy the coupon, they will email you a link and you have up until a certain date to print your coupon. I bought the Aveeno coupon (b2g1 free) when it was on sale, and just printed it a few days ago.

  6. Claudia

    Thanks for the post Collin!
This is totatally unrelated…but does anybody have an Amazon coupon for diapers/ baby items they won’t use and would like to share? Today’s my last day to extend my free shipping benefits, and I’m in need of diapers/wipes…Thanks in advance!
I can post my email address if someone would like to share a code with me THANK YOU

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Was anybody able to order one coupon and to print it twice this time? I was able to print it only once. I think they fixed it 😉 My Market Basket has frozen waffles for $1.99. I had no problem using this coupon last time. I currently have tttttooooo many boxes of cereal ;).

  8. Gbates

In case any one like myself shops at bj’s there is a $2 Kashi Granola bar coupon on their website under in-store coupons. It can be paired with this coupon and you can get a bulk pack of granola bars for $4 off the price. Just thought I would share. Plan on doing this tomorrow!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you for the info. I was wondering if BJ’s allows stacking coupons. Just got my BJ’s gift card from Pampers.

  9. Danielle

my target store had the kashi cookies and crackers for 2.99 as well. So, .50 each after stack with target if you have 3 $2 coupons.

  10. Amanda J

Recyclebank was not aware that you could print 2 coupons using Bricks. Most of us knew that from couponing, but the way they set it up (or thought they did!) was, if you wanted 2 coupons, you put 2 in your cart and the amount of points for it was doubled. Now they have figured it out, and are limiting the printing to one. Last time I had a bunch of points, I looked through the magazines, and got a year’s subscription to Prevention for $2.00 and 100 points! There are lots of others as well.

  11. kristy

I added two kashi coupons to my cart and the transation went through. But when I tried to print the second one I get a message that my print limit has been reached. So, I was charged points for purchasing two but was only allowed to print one??? Anyone know what I can do?

    • claudine

Kristy, This happened to me too. It says in terms and conditions that you’re only allowed one per day. I’m going to try to print the second one tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ll have to email customer service to get my points back. You would think that if you’re only allowed to “buy” one that they wouldn’t let you put more than one in your cart.

  12. kelly

I was able to print this coupon this morning 5/1! So glad I didn’t miss out on this high value coupon!

  13. Holly

I’ve had issues with my Recyclebank coupons not ringing up correctly at Walmart. Even if a coupon says Two Free cans of cat food (up to $1.98) and the cans are only $0.74 each, the coupon will only ring up for $0.50. Has anyone else had this kind of issues?
