Woohoo! I’ve received a few emails lately about a *HOT* unadvertised deal on Frito Lay Chips and Sunflower seeds at CVS! It appears that there is a promotion whenever you buy 3 Frito Lay chips or Sunflower Seeds, you’ll get back $1 Ecb (limit 5!). And, the best part, it seems to be working on the small bags of chips! Yay! Here’s how you can score a great deal…
Buy 3 Frito Lay Chips = $1 Ecb (limit 5!) *Unadvertised promotion*
Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 15 bags of single serve Frito Lay Chips on sale 3 for $1
Total = $5
Get back a $5 Ecb
Final cost – 15 bags of FREE chips!
*Keep an eye out for a sign regarding this promotion near the peanuts and sunflower seeds
Deal Scenario #2:
Buy 3 Sunflower Seeds $0.50 each
Total = $1.50
Get back a $1 Ecb
Final cost $0.50 for all 3!
Keep in mind that this deal is *not* advertised in the weekly ad, so be sure to look for the signs in your store near the peanuts and sunflower seeds in case the Ecb’s don’t print. I have not personally tested this deal, so I can’t verify that it will definitely work and I’m not sure how long this promotion will work on the smaller bags of chips. The chips are not on sale 3/$1 in Durham,NC. I purchased 3 bags of chips to see if I got them on sale. I did not get 3/$1 but instead they were .99 each but I did get the $1 ECB. I would not suggest trying the deal in the Durham area.

The seeds are the single serve skinny size. No signs but I still got the ecbs
None of my CVSs have the small bags of chips (3/$1 size), but two of the four had the sunflower seeds and I decided that that would be a better deal for my family anyway. Ds LOVES to eat those all summer. Thanks for posting it, Collin!
The CVS where I am from (Grove City,Ohio) did not sell the little bag either 🙁

Salted Peanuts are working.
I got the salted peanuts and they DID produce the ECB. I also purchased the Honey Roasted peanuts and they did NOT produce the ECB. However, the manager was so sweet and printed me $1 ECB per 3 Honey Roasted bag as well.
What is the retail price on the chips?
Retail Price is 3/$1. It’s regular price for these small bags. At my store crunchy cheetos ringing 30cents each.
So, if the peanuts are 1 5/8 oz, and you get 15 for $4.00 after ecb, that means you get about 24 oz. for $4.00. That doesn’t sound like such a great deal??

My local store did not have them 3/$1, but $1.29 each and the deal worked for 12 I got $4 ECBs back. my receipt said limit 4 frito lay on the listing with ECBs. So just a little different here. Not a great deal for $1.29 ea.
In south SE GA, there were no small bags, just the grab bag size for 1.29ea. There were no signs posted anywhere either. Didn’t think was such a good deal & was in a bit of a hurry, so I didn’t make a purchase. Oh well.
North Olmsted, Ohio CVS didn’t have the 3/$1 chips, but they did have the sunflower seeds (in another aisle in a wire display with some other chips and jerkey). No sign, but it worked! Gonna go get more, husband loves these things. Also got a random 25% off entire purchase coupon that printed w/ ECB good for 3 days only. Score! Anyone know what causes these to print?
I got a 25% off too, but it only works for non-sale items. Anything that gives eb’s back, will not count. Kinda a waste b/c I very rarely buy anything that isn’t on sale! DH needs gauze, so I might use the 25% towards that.
Oh, IDK what causes it to print?? I’ve been getting them about once a month, usually on weeks that I don’t get a $/$$ email coupon.
It worked here in Nor Cal as well. They didn’t have a whole lot of variety, though, so I had the older 3 kids pick 3 pkgs of chips each. Then my baby picked a pkg of Teddy Grahams for .99/ea and we found 1 pkg of Lays for her, too. The total was $4.29, but with my $4 ECB I had from last week, I spent a grand total of .29 and got $3 ECB. So, that was my adventures at CVS this morning with 4 kids. LOL
Can someone please tell me what the weight is on these 3/$1 bags. My store carries the 99 cent bags only. I scanned one today for price check and it shown its original retail price. I am in Boston.

They are I believe 1 ounce bags. They will say 3/$1 in the top corner. I happened to see the Frito Lay guy at my CVS yesterday and he said its a summer thing, so you might not see the little bags until mid May. He said not all CVS stores will get them though.
i went to CVS and bought chips. My store does not have the 33cent chips. They have grab bags for 1.29 you need to buy 3 to get $1.00 ECB.
The sunflower seeds are 50cents you need to buy 3 to get a 1.00 back.
Worked for me today. I work at CVS and told all the other employees. We got a sweet deal buy all 15 bags, get 20 % off, and get the extra care bucks.
I’m in upstate NY and went to two CVS’ in my area and neither one was having the sale! 🙁
It worked in Houston. One display of the chips was in the waiting area of the Minute Clinic, and the other display was near the pharmacy.
The only thing I could find at any of my CVS stores was the sunflower seeds, no small bags of chips. so I bought 3 packs of seeds to comfirm they were included and sure enough- paid .50 cents per bag for a total of 1.50 and got back 1$ ECB. I think i will go to one more to check and see if they have the peanuts and give those a try. Hunny would prefer peanuts. Will update after I try. Im in San Antonio, TX btw.

cvs that i went to did not have the small bags on sale, but i was able to snag some Colgate tooth paste for .67 a tube.

Tried it Monday and it was working … went back today to get more and very disappointed didn’t work..:(
i went to cvs and bought 15 bags of chips to get the 5ecb but i did not get them i talked to customer service but they did not reward the 5ecbs they told me that they would investigate to see what they can do but they are sure that i wont get the 5ecbs but i dont understand why they wouldnt reward the 5ecbs if my daughter did the same thing the week before and got the 5ecbs i explained this to them but they still said that it didnt matter they couldnt do anything about it im confused????
