The old El Paso were not where to be found

    • jessica

they are toward the bottom of the page says .60 off in blue:) hope it helps

  2. natasha

can someone explain how the doubleing works again? So double up to a 99 cents coupon doesnt mean they will only let u use a coupon up to 99 cents, it means u cna double the value of up to a 99 cent coupon.. making the max they double at no more than $1.98? right?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      right

    • E

“it means u can double the value of up to a 99 cent coupon.. making the max they double at no more than $1.98”

      Correct

Back in the good old days Kmart doubled up to $2 (which meant you could get $4 off)

  3. Sami

This isn’t that good of a deal, believe me. The system they have for doubling coupons if horrific. All they do if penalize you for it on your rewards card. Why do you think they make you use it? They take the money you saved, double it, and then take it off of your rewards card balance. I’ve gone into negative balances because of it.

  4. mary g.

in case anyone is from my area: Sioux Falls, SD stores are NOT participating 🙁

    • Lynne

Really I called this morning and lady at one said they may be and other one said I would have to call back tomorrow cuz she has not seen anything about it yet.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sioux Falls West store is participating. My friend works there. 🙂

        • Kelley Cowles

Have you checked the west side store out to see if they are doubling? I I’m way on east side I think i;m gonna call tomorrow to find out if they are doubling. Thank You

    • doug

West 12th st is according to the phone call I made yesterday.

  5. Denise

arghhhhh, how I wish some of our stores here in San Antonio would even consider double coupons….the cloet Kmart is in Killeen…can’t afford the drive….

  6. Julie

Wow- really bad! I was so excited when I saw this post. I gathered up my coupon binder and headed right over after verifying my nearest store was on the list. When I got there was a 20 minute wait at the service desk just to find out about the terms and conditions of the offer ( I was sent there by another employee) When my turn came they had no idea what I was talking about, and 3 people later they finally just told me it starts tomorrow. I did browse a little while I was there to see if I wanted to bother to come back. I ended up buying some shampoo that took another 20 minutes to get rung up. The bottom line is the store has terrible service, high prices, and no clear direction on the current sales promos. Not worth my trip for triple coupons! I won’t be back. I hope the rest of you have better luck at your stores.

    • Rebecca W

Sounds like ours here in PA…I’ve given up on Kmart. Their prices are so high to begin with the doubling puts them around the regular price of Target and WalMart…with bad customer service…

  7. lalaisluv

MY local Kmart manager (Durham, NC) says they are NOT having this event.

  8. Bobbi

I called the Kmart in West Frankfort, IL, and they said it may be in tomorrow’s ad, which they won’t have access to until tomorrow. Why wouldn’t a Kmart store know anything about an event that starts the next day? They really should communicate better with their stores.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They know. I worked at Kmart for almost 5 years and they have ad the ad in stock weeks in advance.

  9. natasha

can u double a man. coupon and then use a kmart coupon on top of that?

    • Lane

yes as long as the kmart coupon does not say otherwise. Like cant be used with any other offer or something like that. i asked at the kmart I found that was doubling coupons but unfortuneatly i traveled 50 miles round trip and lets just say I wont be makeing any return trips as the savings i did find I really had to hunt for and they just arent worth the drive.

  10. Karen

auugggghhhhhh, spent 2 hours at Kmart today. Had a cart full of 2/ $3 items and a fist full of matching coupons that expire tomorrow. you know what’s coming….I mentioned to the clerk the coupons were not doubling. she checked, recheck and called a manager. no one heard of such a thing, not even it starts tomorrow! I had to have them reverse alllll of it. and I can’t go back tomorrow.

  11. DJ

I wouldn’t go to our local Kmart if they were giving stuff away for free!!! It’s nasty, dirty, disgusting, yuk! Totally disorganized, crazy high prices, rude employees who look like they just crawled out from under a rock… I can’t believe the store is even still open, considering there are new Super Target, Super Walmart and Big Lots stores all within a quarter mile.

  12. jessey

Okay just got back from my Kmart (41501)…. awful, I must say. First I asked 6 different employees what the coupon policy was when they dbl coupons…none, knew the policy. So I decided I’ll try a cpl items and see (since I was buying pool filters ANYway) lol…I got one of the sally hansen nail products….it was priced $2.79 I had a coupon for $2.00 off (if I NEEDED this I would’ve been happy to pay just .79 for it..but I didn’t need it) anyway I get to the counter…the clerk tells me no they dont dbl coupons…then I explain to her that YES they DO…anyway she says lets try it and see…so she scans the item, then my coupon (which it did take the $2.00) but she said they would not dbl it (up to .99) cause it was NOT a store coupon and it was for $2.00.
Either my kmart realllllllly sucks…..or I need help with the dbl coupons. Is it just for kmart coupons?, how does the dbl’ing really work….if I have a q for $2.00 off will they (kmart) take an additional .99cents off making it $2.99 off one item?…..please any help greatly appreciated.

    • andrea

anything over 0.99 would be at face value.

    • Tia

Jessey – welcome to couponing! You’ll want to check the max on doubling at yout store. If the max is $ 99, theyre not going to take an additional $.99 off. If you had a $.99 off coupon (never seen that), they would take $1.98 off. Every coupon over $.99 will scan at the face value only.

      • jessey

thank you….a lot clearer, than the way the Manager tried to explain it lol…he told me that the dbl’ing starts tomorrow, and as far as he knows they dbl up to $2

  13. angel

Thank you for all of your hard work putting this list together for me. You make my crazy weekends go smoother. My lovely family HATES to go and just see what’s on sale. They like for me to have a game plan and you help pull one together.

  14. jessey

Okay I just called a “manager” at my local (41501) Kmart…he stated that the dbl coupon starts tomorrow….and as far as he knows they dbl up to $2.00….if this is true it may be worth going back….

  15. Mandi Wood

I was just at my Kmart (Woods Cross, Utah) to browse a little. The prices are extremely high, so even with doubling, I don’t know that I’ll get very many good deals. They did know about the doubling starting tomorrow. I asked one of the cashiers about their doubling policy, specifically if I had a 2.00 coupon, would they still add an additional .99 onto that coupon making it 2.99? She didn’t seem to really know the answer, but said that would make sense to her and it’s what she would do. So I guess it’ll come down to what the sales are like starting tomorrow and getting the right cashier to help you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As Collin’s title for this special states, KMart is only doubling coupons up to 99 cents. Any coupon with a face value over 99 cents will not be doubled. Therefore, unless your particular store is doing something different than doubling up to 99 cents, your $2 coupon will only be worth $2. On the other hand, if you have a coupon worth 75 cents off an item, it will double to $1.50. I know this is confusing when first starting to double. I hope this helps!

      • Marcie L

This is SO stupid!! Who has EVER seen a MFR put a coupon out that is worth .99!?!?! Uh Kmart, GET A CLUE! At least double coupons up to $1!

        • Melissa

there was a coupon for .99 off Carefree not long ago (although it was for Target!) There are other values, I’ve seen .85/1 and I have some .90/1 NED cereal coupons, so just b/c you may not have seen them, doesn’t mean they don’t exist 😉
But still, the reason is they don’t want to double $1 coupon values, that’s why they said .99 and under.

  16. Brittany

My kmart doesn’t accept internet coupons 🙁

anyone know if they have coupon policy posted anywhere?

    • Janelle

I work for kmart. They should accept them. If the Mgr won’t, calle 1-8002-kmart4u for their customer service. They don’t have an official coupon policy to print out.

      • Michelle

the coupon policy I just found on internet said that they don’t accept internet coupons…I don’t want to use them and then look like an idiot when they say no…how can we be prepared if they do?

      • Michelle

If a coupon says save $.50/2 can you use two of those coupons for the purchase? One coupon per item, even though the coupon states 2 must be bought?

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If the coupon says .50/2 you would have to buy 2 items to use it.

    • Janelle

      make that 1-800-kmart4u

    • Chris

my kmart accepts internet coupons but have told me that they only will take them if they scan and that not all of them will scan … and there is no way to know before hand which will work and which wont…

  17. Janelle

I work at the Kmart in Altoona, PA and for some reason this isn’t advertised in our store. You might want to call your local store to see if they are participating. And if they aren’t, remember the people who work there have nothing to do with that fact. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been screamed at because the coupons don’t double. And to have the coupons double, you have to have $25 work of HBA and/or grocery items.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

With the up to 99 cents doubling, there is not a purchase requirement. That is only with the super double coupon events.

  18. misst2302

Ok So I called my local Kmart (Atwater, CA) and they said that yes, they are participating. And when I asked how it worked, she told ne the following, “We will double a couple making the value up to $2.00. Meaning if you have a coupon for $1.00 they will double it to $2.00 but if the coupon is for $2.00 to begin with, then they will not double it. The coupon values will never be worth more than $2.00.” So I guess that here that whole “up to .99 cents thing” doesnt apply. But wait till tomorrow when I go down there, and see if I get the same story! LOL

    • Meg

You are not far from me..I am in Modesto

      • Lane

Modesto is not doubling!!! I called and talked to the manager he said they were not notified of the event and were not participating in it. I had to go to Los Banos to get the doubling (I live in Hilmar) and it was not worth the drive The coupons I got to double were not worth the drive. The other deals I found I could havee found there in Modesto. Just thought I would let you know. Supposedly Manteca is doubling but I would call first before you make the trip.

  19. Elissa Jones

If the coupon says “DO NOT DOUBLE” can/will they still double it?

    • Allison

No.. I don’t think so. I think “DO NOT DOUBLE” means.. Do not double.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes it will double if your cashier does not stop it. It will not be programmed not to double, but some cashiers actually read the coupons and if they see it they won’t double it. I have only had that happen 1x however. GL

      • Allison

to me that is dishonest. to each their own, I guess.

        • Melissa

it’s not dishonest…Do Not Double just means that the manuf is not responsible for reimbursing the double, the store takes the loss.

  20. Joan

I won’t be put through another KMART fiasco.. They can keep whatever they are trying to sell..

we were treated like criminals,, and don’t participate anymroe,, most of the kmarts around here are closing,, wonder why?

  21. Liz

Wow did not realize Kmart had such a bad rep lately..whew hope a couple of our local stores (Oregon City, Oregon) or (Milwaukie, Oregon) will no to be a problem. Have not checked at the stores yet but will do a test run tomorrow in case..using the .75 off /1 for Tic Tac coupon or maybe even get bold and try a $1.00/1 for up2u mentos gum, if they have any. Kinda interested to see how they handle the transactions. Have bunch of the .50 off carefree also to use so that might be a good one also. I will be polite and prepared no matter what they say have the rules from the email/policy printed out to take and cust svc 800 number ready to call if needed. Good luck to all who are giving this a go.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great attitude Liz! Give it a whirl. Honestly in the past Kmart employees have had no idea about any of the rules , heck they haven’t even know about the event so chaos has ensued for many. I have personally never really had a problem with the doubling events. When they started limiting the amounts you could buy or needed to buy $x from a certain department, it simply was not worth it to me so I did not go, but I never took an attitude with them. 😀

    • Michelle

where can we find this information you are going with? I want to have this too.

  22. Melissa

Not sure if this is mentioned previously, but KMart doesn’t give overage when they double. So for example, if an item is $1.25 and you have a .75 coupon, the coupon will only double up to the selling price and will look like this on your receipt –
    .75 manuf coupon
    .50 dbl coupon

  23. Michelle

Kmart does not accept printed coupons!!

    • Melissa

yes they do. Their policy hasn’t been updated in a while, but from what I could find online –

Kmart’s Print-at-Home Internet Coupon Acceptance Policy
Effective March 1, 2009 Kmart will accept industry-standard, secure print-at-home coupons. This will provide additional benefits and incentives to our customers to help them save their money at Kmart.

      • Melissa

        adding –

Coupons will be rejected if they appear distorted or blurry, altered in any way, or are obvious duplicates.
Kmart will not accept ” FREE product” (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons.

  24. Kris

So if it’s only doubling up to .99….you can’t use any $1 coupons???

    • Melissa

      you got it.

      • Melissa

gosh, I miss the edit button LOL. You can use $1 coupons, they just won’t double.

  25. Mo

I went last night. No coupons doubled. Manager said I needed to bring in proof that they were supposed to be doubling before she could refund me any money. She didn’t know anything about it. Prices are outrageous!

  26. ali

I’m just going to stop for a bunch of free Tic Tacs with the $0.75/1 Q….it’s better than nothing!! 🙂

  27. Jodie

Where was this originally found? My sister and I asked at our local store (which is on the participating store list) but they knew nothing about it. Wouldn’t this be accessible on their website somewhere??

  28. Leslie

I checked the ad this morning and nothing was mentioned.I went to the store and nothing was posted but I tried a couple coupons anyways…they doubled! I’ll be going back later in the week and see what I can find for super cheap or free 🙂

  29. Ashley t

Has anyone gone to give this a try yet?? I’m so nervous to be the first!

  30. Sandra

If anyone has the Seattles Best Iced Coffee Free Single Cans Coupon, you can find them at KMart. I just got 10 of them yesterday and I only paid $.52!!

LOL The register wouldn’t open after I paid her and I told the cashier, “WOW I never broke a register before!” lol I couldn’t help myself. It was about 5 minutes if not a little longer for the MGR to come to the front of the store to open the register because it was STUCK shut! lol The girl called about 4 times for a MGR and none came…..that’s such a shame!

  31. Theresa

Went to K-mart today. Honestly I felt like I was trying to shop at a gas station in Chicago with those prices! They really did not have a lot of brands there and were not too well stocked. The only deals I found were the Betty Crocker cake mix and frosting (on sale + coupon), kleenex hand towels (on sale + coupon), and tic tacs (coupon). It was a nice trip with my mom though, remembering how she used to take us there as kids, when it was the only place for us to shop. Oh memories…..

    • Joanna

What were the prices with those coupons and where do you find those? I went today with a bunch of different ones and thought the prices were way high too! I didn’t end up buying anything!

      • theresa

Joanna- I had a coupon for 75 cents off when you buy both betty crocker cake mix and frosting. The cake mix was a dollar and the frosting was 1.66 so my coupon was doubled to 1.50 and I paid 1.16 for both. The tic tac coupon was for 75 cents (x2= 1.50), I bought the single larger size for 1.09 so it ended up being free (not many flavors to choose from though). Kleenex hand towels were on sale for 2.99 , I had a .75 cent coupon (x2=1.50) so it ended up being 1.50 I paid. The coupons I used were from either smart source or red plum, sorry I don’t know the dates. Hope that helps.

  32. K

So my local kmart said they only double up to .99 meaning that if you had a .75 it would only take another .24 off the price… (instead of 1.50 off it would be the .99 off) anyone else have this problem?

    • Theresa

I had a few 75 cent coupons and they took off another 75 cents for each of them totalling $1.50 for each coupon. Sorry it didn’t work out that way for you 🙁

  33. Tia

No problems in south florida. Everything scanned correctly,no overage though from the tic tac coupons.

  34. Rebecca

I have used an internet coupon at K-Mart before. I bought a Brita water filter, they were on sale and I had a coupon! They didn’t have a problem accepting it at all.

  35. Austin

This is a snippet about the internet print at home coupon acceptance, but is dated 2009 so I’m not sure if there is anything more current. Linky here: https://www.searsholdings.com/pubrel/kmart/02162009.pdf

Beginning on Sunday, Feb. 22, Kmart adds even more value to the Kmart shopping experience,

  37. mom-o-2

Good deal on the Ban deodorants. They’re on sale 2/$4 and if you double the 75cent coupon you can pick these up for 50cents a piece…. not bad at all!

  38. Zulaiak

FINALLY FLORIDA WILL BE DOUBLING COUPONS!!!! i CAN’T WAIT TO GO SHOPPING!!!!!

  39. Roxanne

I am not doing the K-mart doubles anymore not a good deal with only doubling up to 1.00 not worth my time, because their prices are very high. It is a real hassle plus the cashiers do not act like they know what they are doing and you have to watch each coupon to make sure it doubles not worth giving me a headache!

  40. Coupon Cal

Can someone please clarify for me: Will they double multiple coupons for the same LIKE ITEM? For example, if I want two identical boxes of Tic-Tacs @ $1.05 each, and I have two identical $0.75 manufacturer’s coupons, will each coupon double, leaving me with two free boxes of Tic-Tacs?

  41. Bev in KY

Coupon Cal … i used that $.75 off on tic tacs today… mine were $1.10 per box of tic tacs, so the coupon didnt double to $1.50 but did cover the $1.10 for the box, so it was free.

I was very disappointed with my trip to kmart for this special coupon event. Kmart’s prices are so high, that even with the double coupons up to $.99 … I can still get most stuff cheaper at another store. I felt like I wasted a trip to Kmart. I checked cleaning products, bathroom supplies, food items, every coupon I have… and was able to use only 4 coupons total. I was so excited about going today to take advantage of this special coupon event… and when I left… VERY SAD, AND A BIT ANGRY TOO!!

BTW … the hamburger helpers weren’t 10 for $10 at my store … they were $2.49 each !! That’s just one example of how the coupons didnt work for me.

Don’t waste your time…I went to the local Kmart in Cabot, AR and after waiting for a manager for 10 minutes, I was told that someone “Hacked” into their Shop You Way Rewards and sent a spam email about doubling coupons. THEN the manager called me a liar when I told her I saw it on a website. I told her the name of the website and she said, “Oh, that’s just for cheap people that can’t afford groceries”. Needless to say, I left the store and went to Walmart and made my purchases. FIRST and LAST experience at Kmart.

This was a little confusing to me at first. See this is the first time for a store in my area to offer this promo of doubling coupons and I was thinking they will double up to 99cents even if coupon is over a dollar. Haha! I learned my lesson BUT I still saved $118.00!!Woohoo!!

I’m from Wisconsin. I called three diffrent Kmart in my area and they all claim to know nothing about the double coupon. I clicked on the list and saw that all three locations were listed as a place to double.
