If you have been meaning to head over to your local The Children’s Place store to browse through their clearance racks and/or stock up on fall and winter clothing (or maybe even snatch up one of their adorable Halloween costumes?!), then now is the time to do so!

Through September 14th, The Children’s Place is hosting a special in-store promo where you spend $40 in one purchase (after all discounts/coupons) and you’ll automatically snag a coupon good for $20 off your next in-store purchase between September 15th-September 22nd.

Keep in mind that you can use the coupon found here to save 15% off when you shop but your total must be $40 after the 15% is applied if you want to snag the $20 off coupon. It is also important to note that your $20 off coupon MUST be attached to your receipt to prove that you did indeed make a $40 purchase or the coupon will not be accepted when you return to shop in mid-September.

I wish Gymboree would do a deal like this, I feel the CP clothes are so cheaply made.

gymboree has a deal like this they call it gymbucks!, when you spend $50 or more you’ll get $25 gymbucks for your future purchase when you spend $50. also crazy 8 has a deal like they called it crazy cash…we love gymboree clothes than tcp….have a great day!

Just keep in mind that it’s not just $20 free dollars, it’s $20 off a purchase of $40 or more, which is still good 50% off

  3. Joy

@ Kelsey – Gymbo always does deals like this – that’s what Gymbucks are! It’s just spend $50, get $25 off your next purchase of $50 or more instead of $20 off $40

    • kelsey

I’m going to look into it asap, thank you for your help!

  4. Jaimie

Keep in mind that the $20 is not just $20 free dollars, but $20 off a purchase of $40 (which is still great a 50% discount)

    • Kelli

Thank you for that info! I thought it was $20 off any amount for the next purchase! I’m going to pass on the deal now that this has been clarified. 🙂

It’s actually just a 25% discount since you are spending $80 total and getting a $20 discount. I know it sounds pessimistic but I think it would be better to wait for a 25% off sale and not have to keep up with the coupon, return to the store, etc.

Gotta hand it to them, though. They make it sound like it’s something you can’t afford to pass up.

Sounds like somebody is trying to copy Gymbucks.

I really like the Children’s Place. They’re clothing is original and it’s the only store I can buy basic kids jeans from and they last an entire school year. My kids don’t tear them up because the knees are made well, reinforced I think, and I love the adjustable waists too.

    • Jessica

I agree. I bought some boy jeans they are on sale for $12, some uniform khakis for $9 and the cutest tee shirt for $6.

I work for TCP and here’s how to make the best of it:

If you have a Place Card:
    Purchase $50.60 worth pretax
Take off 10% with the PC and then 15% with mentioned coupon. = $40 plus tax
If you’d like to apply for a PC:
Purchase $48 pretax Take off 20% for using it.
If you neither have one nor want one then I suggest waiting for a week or two ( as it goes til Sept 14) for a buy more save more. We run high value coupons about twice a month.
The buy more save more is usually 25% off or 30% off 60. And the place card discount can be used in conjuction with it.
No matter how you look at it, it’s more than just a 25% discount as long as you’re wise and patient 🙂

Oh, and you can use youre PC discount when redeeming the $20 too!!
