So, I was just reading through the comments on the Walgreens post and it appears the Osteo Bi-Flex Glucosamine Chondroitin Supplement Caplets (40 ct) priced at $19.99 are actually not ringing up buy one get one free. However, the Osteo Bi-Flex products priced at $29.99 and higher are in fact ringing up buy one get one free.

I’ve heard from a few of you who have actually spoken to Walgreens managers and cashiers regarding this issue. Supposedly Walgreens is aware of the problem and trying to get it resolved. Until then, you can still score a pretty sweet deal on the $29.99 Osteo Bi-Flex. Here’s how…

Buy 2 Osteo Bi-Flex (80 to 120 ct) products $29.99 each
Minus buy 1 get 1 FREE sale = $29.99 for both
Use 2 $7/1 coupons found in the 8/7 RP
Use the $5/1 Walgreens coupon found in the September coupon booklet (will deduct $10)
Final cost Only $5.99 total – just $3 each!

I just did the deal on the 19.99, the manager just refunded me the cost of one of them when it didn’t ring up.

    • Collin

Wow! What a great manager! 😀

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

same here! but she price modified items for me…not too bad

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the rude manager i dealt with said i couldnt use the $5 off coupon in the book for the ones that were $29.99 because it was for the 30ct even though the coupon doesnt state that….. i was so mad

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you must be talking about the walgreens in draper utah! the worst!!!

    • croche

My manager did the same Nette. The Walgreens in Virginia Beach at Lynnhaven and Princess Anne is awesome! I had an issue with an expired RR that I couldn’t use due to hurricane Irene. I emailed corporate and received a phone call a couple of days later. The manager apologized and said they would honor the expired RR. I used the 10 dollar RR with no problem. So, of course I emailed corporate again and told them thank you and what a great store my Walgreens is.

  2. irene

Yep, ran into that problem. Cashier called the nice manager and he said to void and override price at $9.99. The $4 overage was AWESOME!! Thank you Collin for pointing out the deal! You are even more awesomer!!!

  3. nichole

The cashier just divided the 2 in half, she noticed the $19.99 wasn’t ringing up properly. I didn’t have a problem and was able to use the coupon in the book and had an overage!!!

  4. robin r

weird.. i went and mine were ringing at b1g1 at the 19.99 price but would only take off $5 for the coupon in the book.. still got it for 2/.99 .. they tried every which way..no go for me

  5. Russ

I’m so happy to be rid of these coupons! 😛

  6. michelle

I just bought the 2 for 29.99. (bogo) .. gave the $7.00 coupon since I only had one and the $5.00 walgreens coupon. The register beeped for the $5.00 walgreens coupon.. the cashier called the manager and the manager said I can not use the $5.00 walgreens coupon on a bogo free offer… I don’t understand why they would not take it. 🙁

    • 4slinkies

same here. my walgreens said they don’t stack coupons anymore. only can use one or the other. so bummed since i was gonna do the same for batteries. so no batteries or vitamins for me 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      SAME here

    • Jen_Indiana

I also had issues with this. I got the 29.99 ones, and the best the manager said she could do for me was to enter the one I paid for in manually as 24.99 instead since the coupon wouldn’t scan, and she refused to deduct another $5 for the free one. It was disappointing, but still a great buy.

    • irene

That’s strange — both Qs worked on my transaction. Maybe management is misinformed? Next week’s preview at iheartwags shows a store plus MQ stacked on the front page.

    • anne

Some times u.have to do the book first and man q after otherwise it will beep

      • Shaina

Yes well this annoying cashier over charged me $15.00 on my order, wouldn’t take my coupons, told everyone that got into line behind me that she would “be a long time”, and then informed me that I was committing coupon fraud! I was trying to purchase the Osteo-Bi-Flex. I got the ones for 29.99, but they had put them under the wrong thing, and the price said 21.99. After fixing that, she tried to ring the coupons through, messed it up, and charged me for BOTH the products. I tried to tell her that I was stacking the WAGS w/ 2 MQ, she told me she could not do that because I can’t use a coupon on a “FREE” item because I’m not purchasing it. Other stuff went on, but I finally just told her forget it, refund me, and walked out.

    • Denise

Me too! I could not use the $5 Walgreens coupon on both bottles, register kept beeping. This happened at two different Walgreens here in Southern California (Redlands and Rialto). They used to let me last month. I gave up.

  7. Anna

At my walgreens the $19.99 didn’t ring up BOGO, even though I got the one pictured in the ad. But I had an awesome cashier who rang up the osteo bi-flex for $9.99 each. So a $4 money maker !!!

  8. RobertAnna

“’ve heard from a few of you who have actually spoken to Walgreens managers and cashiers regarding this issue. Supposedly Walgreens is aware of the problem and trying to get it resolved”

    issue–problem

This is a problem. At least you finally used the correct word in “aware of the problem” but you still call it an “issue” at first. It is a problem. You are getting there in using the words correctly, at least half the time. So I commend you for at least getting on the right path finally.

    • Sara

Woah, take it easy. No need for the attitude and rudeness.

    • amcr420williams

why the rudeness? This is a nice website, no negativity please. ty

    • Nicole

If coupons are your only “problem” consider yourself damn lucky!!! Your condescending comment belittles yourself, not Collin.

      • Brittany R.

HUH? Issue and problem are synonyms…take it easy.

    • merideth

I’d say you have some issues!!!! or would they be problems????? Either way, back off! If you don’t like the way Collin writes, don’t read this site!!

    • Emily

@RobertAnna, It would seem that you need/desire/yearn for her help/assistance/guidance in finding/locating/uncovering deals. If you do not care for her verbiage, move on.

      • Francoise

        LMFAO!

      • Natalie

Emily, thanks for the laugh!! LMFAO!

  9. Lindsey

I had the same problem. They did not ring up B1G1 and then the computer would not take the walgreens coupon. The cashier said it was because I already used 2 coupons and I tried to explain to him their policy about a Wags and a Manuf. He then called the Manager and he said he could not make the computer take a Wags coupon? So, finally I just asked them to take them off and give me my coupons back. I then went down the street and bought them and had no problem at all. Just shows how inconsistent they are from store to store.

    • Darlene

I agree, Lindsey – Walgreens are not consistent – I have 2 “not coupon friendly” Walgreens in my area – I’ve called corporate and been told it is up to the manager when it comes to coupon issues. I prefer CVS – clerks even tell you about coupons.

  10. Lindsey

Thank you Collin for all the great deals that you keep us up to date on! Your site is the best!

  11. amcr420williams

I went to two different Walgreens for this deal and got all 4 for free, plus some nice overage at the 2nd store which got me some nice extras. 🙂 the managers were wonderful and I had no problem at all. Usually I have nothing but problems at wags but not today!

  12. marie

The wording on the Walgreens Flyer says SELECT before stating all the kinds of vitamins. The only osteo -Biflex that ring up B1G1 at all stores are the 80 to 120 ct.

  13. AndeH

My Wag’s said that the 30 count Osteo Biflex are the ones for BIGI 1
$19.99. These ring up no problem and with the 2 $7 mfg Q’s and the Wag’s book $5 off, that are good on each one, you have a money maker. Be sure to use with other items and not alone so the overage doesn’t cause a problem. I had no problems with this deal.

    • MA

Just reading comments…I got the 30ct. 1 per day, which is what I like to use, and noticed that they rang up @ 19.99, but cashier @ cosmetics voided it out. Then entered it in as 1 @ 2/19.99 or B1G1. Then I used my coupons at the end of the transactions (mfg & Wags book), along with other items of course. No problem. Love checking out at cosmetics-even took hubby along and showed him some tricks of the trade. 🙂

    • Shannon Bailey

Ahh..that’s why I had a problem! I only had two Osteos..I should have had other products. They would only allow me to use one of my 7 dollar off coupons b/c it exceeded the amount of the product. OH, well..I will know for next time! 🙂

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The manager at my store last night (when I tried it early) said he looked it up in the system and the only ones meant to be B1G1 were the $29.99 ones…he said it was because that was the ones that the IVC was not meant for. Who knows.

  15. jane

I had the same problems with the 19.99 ones the manager rang them up at 10.00 each used 1 $7 coupon and 2 of the wags so 2.00 wasn’t bad.

  16. Ariel

my wags price modified it for me but said that the coupon the the coupon book was only good on one, not for both. 🙁

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

so i tried to get the osteo bi flex and the rude manager told me that the ones for $19.99 wasnt the bogo but the add doesnt state which one it just says osteo bi flex so i said ok give me the ones that were $29.99. she rang up the coupons f…rom the paper then went to ring up the one from there booklet and it wouldnt take she says its for the 30ct but the coupon doesnt state a count. so if anyone else has gotten the deal let me know because i think im calling corporate on this one.

  18. Rachael

Actually, to my dismay, the Osteo BiFlex IVC coupon is NOT deducting for both items, since one of them is free (ringing up as $0.00). So the IVC will not deduct from the free item. I ran into this situation when I tried to purchase a few myself. The $19.99 ones I got did ring up as BOGO, and even without the IVC taking off for both items, it is still an amazing deal on these.

  19. stacy

Hi Collin: I went to Walgreens this morning and found the 40 count of osteo biflex for 21.99. I got 2 bogo and used the 2, 7 dollars off and 1, 5 dollar wags coupon and a 5 dollar rr from last week. Then I got advil on sale for 10.00 with a 5.00 rr. The one I got has a little small one attached and did not scan correctly but they refunded me 5.00 for the reward. Have a nice holiday and thanks for all you do.

  20. stacy

oh, dang. i didn’t even think to use 2 of the 5 dollar wags coupons but I did get 2 dollars off the above mentioned advil. Overall, I spent less than 5 dollars out of pocket.

  21. milly

This Wag deal is so frustrating. I did it buying 2 A$29+ OsteoBiflex products BOGO,
I was able to use 2 mf’s but not the $5 IVC even if I had fillers.
I got 2 $22? Osteos and It took the 2 mf’s and the $5, but they were not on BOGO.
The manager at my store told me that I can’t stack IVCs with mf, but couldn’t explain why it accepted the IVC and mfs on my second transaction.
I’m just gonna return them all. Wag wasted my time.
