For all of you Commissary shoppers, I have a few new deals I thought I’d share with you below! :)

Remember, you can score better than FREE items at the Commissary and apply any overage towards other products in your transaction (veggies, meat and any other items you may not have coupons for)! The Commissary actually allows this. In their coupon policy it states, “Valid coupons will be entered at the value stated on the coupon. If the value of the coupon exceeds the cost of the product, the customer will be given the full value of the coupon.” Pretty Cool, huh?!

Also, make sure to be on the lookout for lots of great tear pad coupons! The Commissary always seems to have a plethora of these. Usually you’ll find various tear pad coupons and realize the item featured on the coupon is not currently on sale. However, that does not mean you shouldn’t take the coupon. Most of the time these coupons have month long expiration dates, so take one or two coupons and save them for a possible sale.

I tried to use the $4/2 playtex coupon but they wouldn’t scan and the manager told me they can no longer accept internet coupons that don’t scan so I wasn’t able to use them. I’m pretty upset, they are legitimate coupons, not copied and I was denied.

    • Michelle

      at the commissary**

I used these at the commissary as well, mine didn’t scan either but the cashier just manually entered them for me. I was going through the self check-out and she did have to take all my coupons and check them before I could use them. That was new to me.

I also used the Playtex coupons this morning and had a couple others at the self-checkout that did not scan. The person working the self checkout went to customer service (I assume) and they ended up taking the coupons off manually. They seemed kind of unaware of how to read them and I was asked if they were copies, but I showed her that they all had different numbers. It took some time, and this was my first time using tons of coupons at once but they were really good about it. Also, judging by the shelves in the store, I was clearly not the first to try it. 🙂

I had the same experience…majority of the coupons that have overages beep and they don’t want to honor it.

      • Michelle

I emailed about it, I’m extremely irritated.

Michelle, I went to the commissary yesterday to use my $5 schick coupon to get free razors and they analyzed my printed coupon for 10 minutes before then calling someone to see if they could accept them. Then they were saying they could only take one and that the barcode numbers had to be different versus the dot scan bar which was different on my coupons versus the barcode. If your coupons are beeping they might have to cover part of it up which is what i’ve seen a lot of cashiers do, it may be scannning the wrong barcode. Its a little frustrating because all they have to do is a little research on how to tell if an internet coupon is valid and it would solve the distrust. I felt like I was doing something wrong the way they were analyzing and calling, it was pretty embarrassing. They did end up taking them, but one cashier was still like “we need to keep them out so we can look at them later to tell”. That was pretty rude I thought.

Jolly Time microwave popcorn is .99 and there are $1/2 IPs (I think at Jollytime website) and there were also some in recent inserts, .50 each 🙂

Our commissary is having it’s caselot sale this weekend. They accepted all sorts of coupons, even for the cases!! Jolly Time ended up being .50/box when bought in a 12 pack(with the $1 off coupon). Many other deals too…keep a look out!!

    • Nattyj

Our case lot sale was last weekend – fun!! Plus, they had coupons on hand to give you for many of the products if you didn’t have one!

The Schick razor coupons everyone printed a couple of days ago are free at the Commissary right now. The one that is not the quattro razor, that just says schick hydo is a $1 money maker. Buy the Schick hydro 3.

  9. Tracy

    You are the best! Thanks!

  10. wanda

Just went to ours yesterday. Used my $5 razor coupons for free razors and free razor refills. Razors were $4 and the quattro refills for women were $4.75. Got two of each. Used 4 $5 off coupons. Left $2.50 overage. Also got shaving gel. Was $1.79 each, had $1 off coupons for both so came out $1.58 which the overage from the razors covered. So was all free and still had .92 overage left 🙂

I just got my new Family Unit P&G commissary coupon booklet yesterday and in it there is an offer for a pink baking set worth $40 when you make a $25 purchase of P&G products in one transaction at the Commissary. Go here to see the offer… https://thefamilyunitpg.com/promotions.html

in NM i was told deca changed thier policy to not give overage such a pain
    🙁

    • Holly

I was told lots of things about their policies…check their FB site…where they list their coupon policy under notes. Bring it with you as it is the National coupon policy. The stores are not supposed to come up with their own policies.

  14. Parmy

Does anyone know if the commissary allows you to use a BOGO coupon WITH a cents of coupon? I did not find this in the coupon policy and have never tried. Thank you.
