Juice in the City, yet another daily deal site, is offering up a pretty sweet deal… literally! 😉 You see, one of the Juice in the City deals today is valid for 50% Off a Sampler Pack of Cake Bites + a $15 Gift Card from The Cake Bite Company! Even sweeter, shipping costs ARE included in this offer! …And you can use promo code HOLIDAYMOM during checkout to save an additional $10 on this deal!

So, you will end up paying a total of $11 out of pocket for a Cake Bite sampler pack filled with a dozen bites, two of every flavor (including Lemon Drop, Brilliant Banana Bites, Cinnamon Bites, Reese’s Peanut Butter Bites, Peppermint Patty Bites and German Chocolate Bites!). Plus, you’ll score a bonus $15 gift card to use on a future purchase. Now I know this may still seem high for a dozen Cake Bites, but keep in mind that this offer includes shipping… and shipping baked goods is usually quite expensive!

I think these sampler packs would make great gifts!

Use HolidayMom to get $10 off

    • Ann

Thanks Katie; this will be a fun Thanksgiving treat

    • Collin

Wow! Thanks for the heads up on this *HOT* coupon code! Just updated the post! 🙂

  2. Angela

Thanks Katie! Does Anyone know if there are restrictions to using the $15? Can you use it on another sampler pack I wonder?

    • Kris

A sampler pack on the Cake Bite Company website is $36. Ouch.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        I agree..a bit pricey!

  3. Jena

If anyone hasn’t made their own cake balls yet I highly recommend it….they are rich and you can play with flavors…all you need to buy is cake mix, frosting, and chocolate dip. inexpensive.

    • Melissa

I make red velvet cake mixed with cream cheese frosting dipped in white chocolate – so yummy & pretty for Christmas!

      • Deb

        Ooooh!
You just made me think it’s time to find my recipe for the red velvet cheesecake I make during the holidays.
That gorgeous red is a show-stopper!

      • Jena

ooh i wanna try that combo for Christmas….thanks for the idea!

  4. Kris

FYI. The cheapest item on the website is $36 for a dozen cake balls. so even with the $15 dollar gift card your going to have to pay $21 for a dozen cakeballs.

Maybe not that good of a deal in the long run?

  5. Melissa

They look super yummy but it looks like the regular price on them is $36 so it would be another $11 after the $15 discount for the second order.

    • Melissa

Ignore I apparently can’t do math early in the morning… that would be $21 not $11 lol

      • Ann

I didn’t have to pay anything extra on the cake bites site. I placed my order and a credit card wasn’t even required. Then I noticed that the voucher wasn’t supposed to valid until tomorrow 11/17 so I’m wondering if my order will be cancelled today? I guess we’ll see.

      • gd513

It is confusing but you will get the bites for $11, the total price for cake bites plus shipping would be $42 ($36 + $6)…so this offer is to buy the cake bites including shipping for only $21 plus you get a bonus $15 gift card to use on FUTURE purchases. Since we have the $10 off code it’s only $11 total for bites and shipping and gift card
        Hope that helps! 🙂

  6. Barb J

got one using holidaymom. thanks katie and collin.

  7. Megan V

Yay thanks! The fine print says only one per transaction, but after completing the first transaction, I went back and tried again and it let me. Even if I don’t use the $15 off coupons, a dozen cake balls for $11 is a great gift! Thanks for posting this deal, two people crossed off my list!

  8. smhartford

for all the flavors they offer, it would cost much too much to try to make them all myself. i took advantage of the $10 off coupon and just placed my order. the total was $11.00 🙂

  9. Stacy

Thank you Collin! I got one and plan on ordering and giving as a holiday gift!

  10. Suszy

It’s coming up with 6.95 for shipping costs…

    • Suszy

Nevermind – I saw at the bottom of the page the Juice in the City link and placed my order correctly. Hopefully they can cancel the first order for me…

thanks for the info on the great deal!

  11. Dana

Yum!! A friend at works makes these for $5 a dozen…cannot beat them.

    • kidsallgone

What city are you in? Would love to get your friend to make some for me for a party!!! 🙂 Seriously! Thanks for the reply 🙂

  12. Melanie

You can always save the $15 gift card for the next deal!

Sort of related to post: I need for find some SQUARE paper cupcake liners for a potluck tomorrow night – anyone know if Michael’s or Walmart sells square ones? Don’t have time to bargain hunt (GASP!). TIA

    • britt

not sure if michaels carries them but i believe their is a 40 or 50% off printable coupon. you may still be able to get a bargain.

  14. Rachael

Does anyone know when it expires???

It is sooo easy to make your own cake bites!! and they make LOTS for little money!! use any combo of cake mix and frosting…just prepare cake, let cool, crumble into small pieces, add enough frosting to combine into mixture that can be formed into little balls, and then dip in chocolate or some type of candy coating! you can even add sprinkles or crushed candy or nuts on top to make them pretty. SO yummy 🙂

    • kidsallgone

I was with you all the way til it got to the “candy coating.”
How can I do that part? 🙁
Thanks for any tips (anyone?) 🙂

      • Jena

The trick to the candy coating is to have the balls frozen and the almond bark (or other candy coating) hot from the oven. Just use a toothpick to dip and twirl to get excess off. It shouldn’t fall off the toothpick unless it has thawed too much. then cover the toothpick hole with a dab of frosting and sprinkles!

        • Jena

*not a dab of frosting, but a dab of almond bark…..oops…..then sprinkles!

          • Whitney

Step-by-step instructions from the woman who started it all!

If you can’t find bark, I use Candy Melts that you buy at Michael’s. It’s very easy to make these, and they are SO yummy! It will cost around $7 to make 50 cake balls or cake pops… enough to share with friends, neighbors, relatives – and me! 😉

            • Sephiria

Thanks! Can’t wait to try making these =]

            • Suzanne

You can also use any chip – chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, etc. Just put them in a glass bowl, place the glass bowl on top of a small pot that has simmering water in it (the glass MUST NOT touch the water though or it can shatter!). Stir the chips until they melt. It helps to add the tiniest drop or two of an oil (not olive – too strong – try veggie or canola). The oil helps the chocolate get a smooth texture and you can’t taste it!

            • Bella

suzanne i make them using chocolate chips too! or the little melting chocolate discs that wilton makes.

  17. Amanda

Can someone please tell me how to get shipping free? It is showing up as $6.95 for me 🙁

    • gd513

you have to wait until tomorrow to use the code, then go through the link in the email 🙂

      • Amanda

I figured it out, on the cake bites main page, there is a link that says Juice in the city, you click that and order through the page it takes you too! I paid nothing more than the $11 for the jitc deal! Your right though, hopefully it doesn’t get cancled cause I ordered a day early..oops!

        • Kathryn

Thanks so much, couldn’t have figured it out without your help!

  18. leighangela

I’m so confused as to how this works? It says after you buy, you have to “print to use.” Is there another step I have to take?

  19. Svetlana

Coupon code “HolidayMom” is not valid. That’s the message I get! Is anyone else having problems?

  20. Bella

Wilton has an AWESOME cook book full of adorable cake pops designs. i got mine at Michaels, but i think some walmarts have them.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If I purchase the deal through Juice City, can I wait to use it until Christmas? Will the coupon code still be valid?

    • Holly G

      yes!

  22. JULIA

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know where I can get Plum DIstrict promo codes? Are the $10 off still printing at Safeway?

  23. Holly

    This deal has expired…bummer!

  24. Jen

does anyone know if you can choose a shipping date?

  25. Valerie

Has anyone tried to use this deal? I just did and ran into a few problems, the first problem is that when I click on the link “1. Please click here” in the directions for use it takes me to a page that says “Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)”. The other problem is that when I go to the Cake Bites website and place my order and use the code “JITC” the shipping is not coming off the order, so the total of the order is $6.99. I thought the deal for Cake Bites “Shipping costs included. Excludes tax.” as it states here. I would appreciate a reply in regards to these concerns with this certificate. Then i tried to email them and it came back to me, twice. 🙁

    • Angela

I couldn’t even order mine, said I had to call to place an order. Maybe I went to the wrong website, but I do not think so. Sounded like same flavors as the deal posted about. I tried to email too and it wouldn’t let me.

  26. Cynthia

Just went to use this deal so that it would be shipped for Christmas. No dice. The website says they aren’t taking anymore orders for Christmas delivery. Any orders placed now won’t be filled until after 12/26. Raw deal. I’ve contacted Juice in the city for a refund. We’ll see how that goes. Love all your deals! Just wanted to let anyone else who’s planning to use it as a Christmas gift that it’s not going to happen. I’m becoming increasingly leary of these daily deals sites. I still haven’t received my Auto Zone card from OnSale from early last month. A good deal isn’t always a good deal 🙁

  27. leighangela

Ordered this a few weeks ago for one of my clients for Christmas. Big mistake. She won’t be getting her bites any time soon 🙁 I’m not using any of those “deal” sites anymore. The poor businesses lose out big time.

  28. cindy

I tried to order these for my daughters birthday in early december and they never sent them. Then I sent an email to send them for christmas and they never came.
I was going to see if they could send them for a party I am going to but their website still has the same message that it had last month. That they are not filling anymore orders and those who have ordered, they have not received the proper packaging to ship them so they cannot ship them yet. But you can use the voucher until May.
That’s great except I wanted them for the Holidays. Oh well.

  29. dls

I ordered mine before Thanksgiving and they did not arrive. I was hoping to get them for Christmas and still did not arrive. I have contacted them several times and they have not answered.

  30. Courtney_Amanda

Here it is the end of January and it says I can’t place an order : / : /

  31. leighangela

Ordered mine in Mid-December and nothing yet.

  32. Cynthia Hughes

I requested a refund from Juice In The City yesterday, and also asked that they credit me the $10 site credit I used on this deal. I’ll let everyone know their response.

  33. Heather

I asked Juice in the City for a refund yesterday and they refunded my money, gave me an account credit and apologized. They have amazing customer service. I am so happy that I finally contacted them. And the best part for me, it’s actually a real human answering the emails. She was so nice.

    • Cynthia Hughes

I got the refund I requested also, as well as the $10 site credit. Great ending!

  34. leighangela

Good to hear. The Cake Bite Company website is now down. I requested a refund.

  35. cindy

I just requested a refund too. The cake bite website is still down.

  36. Kimberly

Thank you for all the great information. I’m glad to see others have received a refund. Hopefully I will received one as well.

  37. cindy

just seeing the issues after tring to use mine before the expire date in two days. Ugh…
