I purchased this 4 my husband 4 Christmas last year. We use it everyday! Best present 4 him ever. I mean, besides his laptop;p.

Do you what the difference between the models? I mean they are all single cup brewers, so is it how fast it brews or what?

      • michelle

The single serve brewer requires you to add water each time you brew a cup. The larger models have a water reservoir that holds several cups of water. The larger brewers also have different cup size selection and some of the models are programmable.

        • frostedbliss

Thank you so much Michelle. You helped me make a final decision and I bought the Platinum model at Costco. I found the online price of $159.99 but it was only $149.99 when I got there for the same thing. 🙂

          • emiliemcfarlane

I’ve been looking for weeks and the Costco deal can’t be beat. You get 60 K-cups and the reusable K-cup.

  2. Jennifer Burke

and use ebates for your 4.0% cash back!!

    • Wendy

Thank you for the reminder….I usually forget to do that!

  3. Kate W

Is there free shipping on this item? Does Shoprunner offer free shipping for Kohl’s?

  4. Kaitlyn

IS THERE STILL A FREE SHIPPING CODE FOR ORDERS UNDER 50?

    • Bonnie

Try XMASFREE. It worked the other day for free shipping.

  5. john z

i would like to buy one but so scared that the cups with coffee for these are much more expensive than coffee in a can. any comments or ideas ??

    • Kathy

That has been my concern, too. They have something called the My K-cup. It’s basically a mini filter that you will with your own coffee. You can get it for around $15 on amazon. I think it would make the Keurig much more economical. Plus, like in my house, you don’t throw away half a pot of coffee that no one finished drinking.

      • michelle

I don’t recommend the my K-cup filter. I bought one & it leaked and sprayed coffee grounds all over the counter. Total waste of money. I use the Solofill filter and it works great. There is also a reusable filter called the Ekobrew. Both of those items are available at Amazon and are generally cheaper than the My K-cup filter too.

    • Jennefer

I have had mine for quite a few years now. It was the best thing I have ever purchased. I often find my k-cups at discount stores or on sale at Kohl’s when I have a 30% discount. I never pay more than $8.50 a box. One tip if you drink a lot of tea. I still buy tea bags. I run a cycle of just water and then throw a tea bag in the mug. It isn’t instant like the k-cups, but it is ready in just a few minutes.

I also have the My K-cup, but have not had any problems with it. Sometimes the lid is a little tricky, you just have to be careful that it is on all the way.

If you look carefully, you can find great deals on the k-cups.

Personally, I use a mini french press made by Bodum. A little more work than a Keurig I’m sure, but you can use whatever brand of coffee you like, still get single serving and I think french press coffee tastes better. Much cheaper option if you are willing to do a little more work for your coffee.

  7. jane haskell

I have one of the inserts they work well. However, if you are very frugal you can actual reuse the prefilled k=cups. You peel the tinfoil off the top (after using of course) rinse it out let dry and fill almost to top with your own coffee then recover with a piece of tin foil or plastic wrap they can be reused again and again the filter in the little plastic cup last a long time.

    • Deb

      Jane, you are amazing!!!!
THANKS FOR THIS FAB MONEY-SAVING TIP, GIRL! 🙂

    • Ann

We purchased a plastic, reusable lid called a my-kap. Works great when reusing the kcups.

I actually bought the Elite version for a gift from Kohls (it was in store), on sale for 139 plus the 20% off made it about 118. Then the next day (this was late last week, I think Saturday) saw the same brewer for 118 at Target, plus you get a $25 gift card for the purchase. I also had that coupon for a $10 gift card for any purchase over $50. I know those coupons expired on December 3, but if anyone is looking for a Kurig brewer be sure to check Target for that gift card deal. I never saw it advertised. So nothing against Kohls but I took that one back and got the Target deal. lol 🙂 As always love Hip2Save and follow the blog daily!!!

    • michelle

I think that the gift card deal may be over at Target. Although I think Walmart has a $30 gift card for the special edition brewer, a $25 gift card for the elite and a $20 gift card for the mini this week.

I ordered one for my husband for Christmas and we’re using it already because he was home when it got delivered. It had a big KEURIG: SINGLE CUP BREWER written on the side and there was no hiding what it was (so fyi when it’s delivered, be careful who get the package =)

I absolutely LOVE this machine! You can get k-cups from SAMS club for 80 cups for about 38 bucks, thats for the Newmans Own organic- and it’s delicious. We also just bought the filter where you can use your own coffee which is an incredibly cheap way to brew coffee since we are not wasting several cups every time we brewed coffee. I 100% recommend it. We have the one that’s a step under the one with the LCD screen and i can’t imagine needing the screen… but i do recommend getting one with water reservoir. Makes a no hassle coffee maker even less hassle.

    Awesome deal Kohls!!!

    • Deb

If you can’t get to the big box stores, go to BB&Beyond and use your 20% off Q’s for the cups.

  10. Lisa c

I got the top one . I put off spending the money, forever. What was I thinking. The cost is Soooo little when u figure n all the. Other factors. I love knowing I can just walk up push a button & have s delicious cup of coffee. No need 2 set it to brew. So fast it’s ready win 60!seconds.. I love? Love , love this. One of my favorite things. 🙂

Hey? Does anyone remember what we do to get the rebate on other appliances we bought black Friday from kohls?

  11. Sarah

I know the Mr. Coffee brand isn’t as luxurious, but those are on Amazon for $79 with free 2-day shipping with Prime and no tax. The reviews are great too. Once you add in tax at Kohls you’re looking at over $84 not counting the Kohls cash. If you don’t plan on buying anything else from Kohls then your $10 cash is worthless in my opinion. I wanted to like this deal, but for me it’s not worth it.

  12. Dawn

I love Kohls deals but I have to say they really need to work on their shipping times. I ordered a set of placemats on 11/28 and they have not even shipped yet. I’m tempted to cancel the order and go to another store and purchase a set.

  13. Deb

Yesterday I bought the Platinum model at BB&B. It goes for $179.
I got it for $154. after my 20% Q. It came with a box of assorted cups.

  14. Stephanie

Costco has the Platinum model and it comes with 60 assorted K cups, the My K Cup reusable filter and the machine and the entire package is $149.99.

    • frostedbliss

After all the deals were researched, I picked up the Platinum model today at Costco for the $149.99 price. FYI, it was 159.99 online, so I was a VERY happy shopper. I love this one the most because of the water resevoir & the varying cup sizes, including travel mugs. I think this was a great deal!

  15. Karen

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas but we are already using it and loving it!! I was hesitant on buying it since he just got a Bunn two years ago and he’s the only one in the house that drinks coffee. I love hot chocolate and am looking forward to trying the apple cider! If you’ve been on the fence about buying because of the price I say you deserve it!!

  16. Meg

Does anyone know if any of these have the option to do things like expresso for lattes and such (not just coffee, hot cocoa, tea)?? I figure I would save so much if I was stopping by Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts a little less often… Anyone have suggestions on an expresso maker that doesn’t require a degree in barista-ing? 🙂
