Yes I did this last year, 2 times! Different transactions, but right behind each other. I also used it on the 5 items for $10
The coupon says that it excludes the $5 for 10 offer, although this offer is the 5 for $10 offer, so I’m not sure if it was a typo or not… but just something to keep in mind 🙂
although, the printable coupon that someone included below does not say anything about this offer in the exclusions, so maybe we would be able to use that one?
I tried and they did not let me use the additional coupon. I was also in a hurry and could not stick around to argue.

Me too! That’s the highest valued one I’ve seen! China Glaze nail polish is Buy 2 Get 1 Free – they’re normally like $7 – so I’m headed for those! I think it holds up really well on my nails!

This coupon was released in the Sunday paper on 12/11 in a Ulta flyer and it says in little tiny print at the bottom that it cannot be used on the 5 for $10 or things like Philosophy etc.

I pick these up every year and no store will have 50 to choose from but they will have a pretty good selection as long as u go within the first day or so otherwise there will b next to nothing. My store wouldn’t take the coupon though

The site has a drop down menu of brands. According to it they do have covergirl and rimmel london but no NYC

Our store had this but it was like one small table. The items were tiny and probably not something I’d spend more then 2.00 on anyhow. Not sure if I missed out on some better stuff or what. Might check back later this week to see if they restock.

Most of the stuff is travel/trial size stuff and Ulta brand stuff (which is like dollar store stuff). At $2 each, you’re better off getting cheaper travel size items for less at a regular store or the freebies you get in mail.
I would do this, but every time I’ve went to ULTA the customer service is horrible! Very rude, snotty people working at the one closest to me.

I agree! Had a horrible experience there the other day.
I went this morning to pick up a few items for stocking stuffers. The 3.50 off of 10 does state that these items are excluded. I printed the coupon off online and also had a $5 off of $10 that arrived with some items I ordered online. The store would not accept any of the coupons even though the other two did not mention these were excluded. I had them void mine and left because the quality of the items was more like the dollar store and I couldn’t see paying $2 an item for what I had. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up before you make a special trip just for these.
It doesn’t work with either coupon. I tried both.
I also read that you cannot use the $3.50 off $10 coupon on this deal. 🙁
I had a $3.50 off $10 from a mailer I received last week that I was able to use, it did not exclude the 5 for $10. So $7.50 for the 5 items and the little basket (which my daughter loved) was worth it 🙂
I had two coupons of $3.50 off $10 and sent my mom in. Ulta did not accept either even though it did not exclude the sale. They are REALLY bad at customer service.

first time in today and the employees where very kind to me. She even scanned the print out and it comes up the same code as flyer even though different, the register voids it back off on its own, she didnt touch it. It made me very happy she was willing to show me. Fragrance too, duh my fault she said “Im so sorry for the hard time today but you can’t use it on fragrance”. I apologized for not noticing and making them sound like a broken record. I cant believe I never ventured in… I like it. Salon too…thanks to colin you have a new customer 🙂
I went there today and did not buy anything. The items included in the 5 for 10 deal are pretty junky in my opinion. not even worth the 6.50.

Yes, the deal is in store only, and the baskets are behind the counter and they give you one when you check out. That’s what happened when I went anyway.

I agree with the comments above, it was definitely not worth the drive over there, the 5 for $10 items were junk, junk, junk!
I went in tonight w/ my hubby and picked up a basket full for my sister in law whos 11, although I was a little disappointed I couldnt use my printable coupon since it clearly did not state that this deal was excluded.. I was satisfied with what I got for 10 dollars.. a basket, a hair brush, big sexy hair spray, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, and a eye shadow pallete.. all in all.. good deal ulta
Collin, I just went in with the printed and the add, showed that they are different. She scanned the coupon anyway to show me……the register took it off and then voided it on its own. Even though the code is different, it still scans as the add code. Bought the makeup kit too, she then scanned it again and it stayed off. I was going to split my order, did get the cologne with the free bathrobe….wooo hooo. However I didnt notice that the coupon could not be used on the fragrences. Bummer.
The funny thing is the next two people in line where trying the $3.50off $10 on the 5 for $10 deal and that girl flat out said nope. Again on fragrence…It sounded like a broken record in there..three in a row (maybe we all visit hip2save)
All in all I am happy, got such cute items in a cute basket (about 20 items to choose from, I think they count the different colors as an item), Saved $20 on cologne because was $60 at department stores, got a FREE BATHROBE for being such a great wife and mother…hahahaha (says $60 value…these are NOT worth $60 they are real thin…but still cute) and a huge makeup case for my daughter for $20. I spent $72, joined the club, will be getting a free item already (not sure how) and they gave me a 20% off salon visit and that has such a great price right now, will make my appointment.
PS…..Took my daughter, she found the katey perry tester perfume (smells a lot like the justin bieber) and sprayed herself when I turned my back…I AM STILL SNEAZING BECAUSE SHE TOOK A BATH IN IT…NOW SHE NEEDS ANOTHER BATH….WE BOTH SNEAZING ON THE WAY HOME WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN…FREEZING!!! iT WAS SO FUNNY 🙂 Thanks again collin for posting this store…I LUV IT !!

Ive been on here a few times to help with Ulta deals since I work there. None of the $3.50 off $10 coupons are working for this deal. My GM said none of the coupons are supposed to, but I know from experience that the $5 off $10 that was sent attached to an ad recently does work. But you might get someone willing to push thru the $3.50 off. Good luck!

My Ulta is awesome! The customer service rocks… I politely pointed out the lack of fine print on the printed coupon… and she said “Oh, no problem…. Let me use our registers $5 off of $10 coupon! We hate when the registers don’t accept your coupons.” with a smile and everything!! My friend behind me had the in ad one… and the cashier used the $5 one for her order too. It made it so that the gift deal and the Burt’s Bees little gift set I bought came to around $8. Moral of story.. Not all Ultas are bad!
I have a $5 off $10 coupon and the lady tried to refuse it, but I had her read the fine print which specifically does not exclude the $5 for $10 promotion. She still refused, so I put my items down to leave (as did the lady behind me in line with the same coupon) and then she agreed to honor it. But she reminded us both that it wouldn’t happen again.
sorry to hear about everone’s bad experiences. I ran in last night picked up the 5 for 10, used a coupon for 5 off 10, paid 5.00 + tax- not to bad. Picked up the big and sexy trial size hair spray, and paddle brushes. I will have some happy sisters! Also picked up a smashbox kit for 39.00, and a trial size primer, for 16.00- was able to use a 20% off coupon and qualified for 3 free brushes. I think i got an awesome deal. Hope it all works out for everyone else.

Boooo Ulta. Wouldn’t allow me to use either coupon on the 5/10 deal. So I picked up some items in the clearance area that were marked down to $1. Wouldn’t let me use the coupons on that either. I was very disappointed. Got my gift card and left.
I’m very surprised by all the comparing of ULTA brand to dollar store products. The ULTA near me had totally cute items that were NOT dollar store quality! I think 5 for $10 was a good deal on it’s own without the coupon. My daughter got 4 of the sets for her friends for Christmas presents. I was very happy with everything I got. The custoemr service in Kaysville, UT is excellent!!!
P.S. By the way, I usually use Urban Decay and Smashbox products and ULTA is not like the make-up from the dollar store!
