Lame. I never got a confirmation email so when I looked it up on their site the status was ‘researching’. I contacted them as to what that meant and they said there wasn’t a credit card associated with that order and I’d have to re-order it. That’s crazy! I absolutely entered in all my c.c. info (not even sure how you can finalize an order w/o entering that in) but now it’s sold out. I think the closest Staples is about a 30 minute drive so not worth the drive to buy it locally. Bummer.

I’ve always gotten the check, never tried PayPal. How long does it usually take to get your PayPal refund from the time you submit the rebate?

Easy rebates are an actual check – these are different from the Staples Rewards which are only good in store.

You can even choose PAYPAL to receive your $9.99 rebate (otherwise, check or Visa prepaid card). Make your selection as part of the rebate submission process, you’ll see a screen which offers you choices how to get your rebate!

Yes – you can use Rewards to buy something that has a rebate, but you cannot use Rewards to buy another Rewards deal. HTH

You can’t use rewards to buy something else that has rewards? When I signed up a few weeks ago I specifically asked 2 different employees to make sure and they told me yes.

Unfortunately, the employees were wrong, and Mo (above) is right. But just to clarify a bit, you *can* use rewards to buy any items in the store, but if the item is one that has a rewards promo, you won’t get it because you used rewards to pay for it.
The trick with Staples is to balance rewards with rebates.

had mine in my cart to check out..then as I tried to check out..it told me to finalize my order and submit..when I did..it gave me an error message.. “out of stock”..

1-800-STAPLES (1-800-782-7537) Just called them to ask if they will be getting any more of these in stock..and the very nice representative told me that just because they are out of stock online doesn’t mean they are out of stock in the stores.. She checked my local Staples store and they had 18 in stock.. she even transferred me over to them. They will hold item for you until the end of the business day. So that is great to know for this purchase and future ones.. HTH someone else.
