      I voted yes!

    • Jo-Ann

      Thanks for the reminder!

  1. :D

    YAY!

  2. Amanda

Is there a way to find out which cards will be on sale at my local store today so I can plan for tomorrows trip?

    • Shannon

If you go to cvs.com and click on the store ad you can type in your zip and it will let you look at this weeks ad or there is a tab on top for next weeks ad. Next weeks ad on the cvs website is supposed to be up as early as thursday.

      • Amanda

Thanks! I wasn’t seeing that tab for some reason the first time I looked. So excited that it is the American Greetings again!

      • Judy

If you want to see the ads for CVS early, just go to iheartcvs.com OR you can use one of the coupon forums to see the ad scans early. I like to use the forum on A Full Cup. We use Coupons is pretty good too!

    • Linda

Look in your CVS ad in the early edition Sunday paper. Or maybe you can look at next week’s ad online.

  3. Porsche' Robey

is there a limit on the American greeting cards deal?
also both of the coupons say cannotbe combined with any other offer…does this mean i cant use both of them on the purchase of 3 cards?

    • Porsche' Robey

oh wait nvm i can use them both bc one is a store q and the other a man q right. : )

    • mel

I was under the impression the wording on the cvs coupon just meant that you couldn’t use it with another cvs type store coupon (like from the magic machine). but the manuf coupon has a wm logo and the store i like to shop no longer takes any manuf coupons with another store logo, so ymmv on being able to combine both.

    • Terri Harrison

None of the CVS’s in my area carry American Greeting cards, only Hallmark. The manager allowed me to use the coupon anyway. Ask first. I got 3 $.99 cards for $.21 total. You are allowed to use the store coupon with the manufacturer

  4. Carole

For the John Frieda deal, if you have the free Precision Foam Colour coupon (can’t remember where I got it) exp 1/31!, and the $2 coupons from the Target samples for full repair product, you have a great deal!

  5. Craig

Good time to try these Eggs. I would normally not purchase this, so yeaaah!

  6. Grace

I did an amazing L’Oreal deal at CVS today (this is for 1/22)
Buy $60 worth of L’Oreal Products (after BOGO 50%) (I bought 8 items)
Use $10 off $50 CVS coupon
Use (8) $3/1 L’Oreal Face Product Coupon (RP 1/1/12) (These coupons work on ANY L’Oreal Makeup Item)
    Pay $26
Get Back (2) $10 CVS Cards
    (Possible) $5 Beauty Club Reward
    Total $1 (+tax)
    $1 for $60 worth of L’Oreal Products

HURRY! This deal ends today (or before your CVS turns to Sunday deals)

    • Grace

I personally did not get the $5 Beauty Reward but it’s still a great deal, $6 for $60 of L’Oreal Makeup (& L’Oreal makeup is so expensive!)

      • mel

the beauty club takes 24 hrs to catch up, so that won’t print for a few more days.

      • Dianne

It takes a couple of days for the Beauty Reward to show up on your card, so you should get the $5 too. Actually, you earned another $10 towards your next reward, which is basically $1, so you got it all for free! You can log onto your account on the CVS website to check your balances. Great job!

    • :D

Interesting I might take a trip tonight yet again 😀

    • melissa

      Awesome job!!!

    • keri

does anyone know if the cvs cash card is attached to the cvs card u used for the original purchase or can u use it with another extra care card?

      • kelly

It’s like a gift card so you can use it with any card, just like cash!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Wow, great job! 🙂

      • Michelle

Got a cash card earlier tonight for paper towels. They did link it to my CVS card.

        • mel

You might be confused b/c the cashier needs to scan your ec card to run the GC coupon through. but after that, you can give the cash card to a total stranger and they can use it w/o even having an ec card.

      • Grace

Oh my god, I can’t believe I got a compliment from you Collin!! This means so much to me , you are like my Coupon Idol. Even though your blog wasn’t the first one I started to follow, out of all the blogs out there, your blog is the one that I visit and love the most. It means so much to me that you complimented me! You made my day. Thank You, Collin

        • mday

I agree I follow this one more then any other and Grace you are great!

    • NGarcia

How did you get a $10 off $50 CVS coupon?

      • Grace

I was doing a transaction and then realized that I did everything wrong so I had my cashier void the transaction and then it printed a receipt with that coupon. I did the scenario above using the $10 off $50 and got another $10 off $50 coupon. I did the above scenario twice but I didn’t get the $10 off $50 coupon the 2nd time I did the transaction.

  7. SoxGirl1029

Does anyone know if I have to purchase 6 Ragu in 1 transaction in order to get the EBs or is it cumulative like that cash card deals? I need to stock up on some sauce but my CVS never has very much of anything and I usually have to go back later in the week to get all of what I want.

    • mel

it will keep track, so u don’t have to buy 6 at once.

      • SoxGirl1029

        Thanks 🙂

  8. melissa

for the american greetings deal I was able to use both coupons because one is a cvs coupon and the other is a manufacture coupon. The free card coupon is just letting you know that you can redeem it at walmart.

  9. Mitch

Does anyone know where else to get a Ragu coupon? I have the $.75 Hellmanns ones from recycle bank that I was going to double, but the sale here is better.
PS I got the P&G coupons early and just used them on the Gilette anti-perspirant cause today it was BOGO 50% off and they took 2x$1 coupons!
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • Jana

There are $.50/1 Ragu in my 1/29 Red Plum, I got mine tonight and was excited because in my area we usually get $.50/2.

  10. Michelle

The toms deal is a money maker, there are 2$ off tear pad coupons at cvs.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Found Tom’s Q near deodorant or something it’s for $2 off any product. Sorry I read slow LOL And we need an edit button!

            • Mary

Newbie question – do you pay for each transaction separately?

    • lovedeals

Michelle, after reading your comment I searched these coupons on ebay and I should not say that but people are really bad they are selling coupons on ebay. people take the whole stack and sell on ebay.

      • Michelle

I didnt get my coupons from ebay 🙂 I collect them from friends and family. And the $4 off 20 i got for registering my card on cvs. But just to add, I just talked to my sister and she said Wal-mart trashed a bunch of sobe rebates and she grabbed them. I believe these are for the coconut waters. Keep a look out for them. The must be used by the end on Jan.

        • lovedeals

Sorry Michelle, you misunderstood me. I wasn’t talking about you. Now days more and more people are doing it and it’s hard to find tearpad coupons.

      • mday

Yes, tey have done that for a while but if you read the fine print, they are not selling you the coupons they are selling you the service for the coupons you are seeking. I don’t personally sell them but I do purchase them when the it is imprinted. stating the above. There are some good legitimate individuals trying to earn on extra buck, you just got search the right individuals.

        • Michelle

I see what you mean love deals. Went back today to get 2 coupons for my sister and guess what! Gone:(

  11. Melissa

re: Note on Blue Diamond Almonds: *Good price, but you can get a better price at Walgreens this week!

thank-you Colin for noting that. So ofen the Walgreens & CVS have some of the same items on sale, but one place has a better deal than the other. I really appreciate the heads-up!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re most welcome! 😀

      • Mandi

i love that you say better deal somewhere else but list a good deal anyway. It gives me options. It is a good price here but better somewhere else BUT if you have ECB’s or RR it might make the difference where you buy them.
        THANKS!

  12. Shanshan

EXCUSE MY CAPITALS BUT THIS MEANS I’M SHOUTING FOR JOY! HEY THANK YOU COLLIN NOT ONLY FOR A GREAT CVS MATCH UP, BUT FOR TELLING US WHEN THE DEAL IS BETTER AT ANOTHER STORE.

I hardly see another other blogger do that. They just put whatever deal out there and it often ends like this, “Final price: $x.xx!!!”. If I don’t have time to read all stores’ match up, I end up buying things just to find out hey wait a minute it’s way cheaper at this other store. YOU KNOW… How 25 cents difference can make or break a “FREE” or “MM” deal. Every penny counts, especially for us couponers. I don’t care what others say about you (that you have people help you with the blog… but why not?) but I love you Collin and H2S is the best blog ever!

    • Robin

      LOL ” excuse my capitals…”
Hip2save and Collin ARE the best!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOL…YAY! SO GLAD TO KNOW YOU LIKE THAT! 😉

  13. savedbycoupons

Just got back from CVS and got (3) 12 pk Mt. Dews for $7.00 (I had a $3 catalina) and got my $4 catalina back from it. SCORE!!!

    • melissa

a professional CVS’er would not refer to them as catalinas. they are extrabucks or ECB’s or EB’s. not associated with catalina at all… 🙂

      • savedbycoupons

Thanks for your criticism. Good to know.

        • Corina

It’s ‘constructive criticism’ LOL. Fee free to call them what you want. You obviously did a good job @ saving and are proud of it. Which you should be.

  14. MARY

I got a coupon today from magic coupon machine for M&M’s $1/2! This is going to sweeten the M&M’s deal! yay

  15. marycouponer

does anyone know how much the Digiorno pizza goes for at cvs?

    • Shayla

Last time these were on sale they were $7.49-$7.99 so 2/$8, ($2/6 with coupon), which is my price point =)

    • Jaime

I have seen them on sale at CVS for $4.99 ea

    • mday

Right about 6.98 in Texas unless they have a good deal going on that Im not aware of.

    • mary

went to CVS this morning, they are priced at $7.50 at my store (s florida)

      • Jodi

At my store they were 8.79, I think. I found tearpads at Stop and Shop for $3/2 lg. Digiorno pizzas on the freezer door right by the pizzas. They are mfr qs.

  16. Marija

Can we use a .50 coupon on the speed stick? I have lots left over from the Kimberly Clarke rebate at Publix…?

    • Makayla

If you are using the B1G1 and trying to use a coupon on the one first item, the register will beep because it attaches the coupon to two items. This has been happening since their last coupon policy change. No luck at cvs. Walgreens still allows it however.

      • Marija

        Thanks!

  17. edy

Yes, u can use .50off speed stick! I have .75 cents off irish spring! But, check some lady speed sticks are on clearance for .99 cents! I just came back from cvs I got the physicians mascara had a 3dlrs cupon peelie on them! Pay 7dlrs and got 7bucks free! And got the 3 /12 packs mountain dew 3for 10dlrs got my 4 bucks back! I bought 4 boxes of always infinity used 4/ 2dlrs cpns and got 1 pampers wipes used .50cpn got my 10 bucks! I live in houston tx, and here all the toys some cvs have the zhus toys 75% off some 90% off. My friend got me a backpack for $1.30 and the zhu stroller $1.50

  18. Lisa

Just a heads up ladies the clearance Olay 4pk bars (Silky Whismy and Luscious Embrace) are working with the $2 EBC for this weeks Olay sale! I just did the deal wohoo 🙂

    • mel

sweet! I was hoping someone would confirm it was working. I have a $4 off Olay Whimsy or Luscious Embrace wyb any Olay product, so that should make it a good deal combined with the ecb!

    • mday

      Nice to know thanks 😉

      • Jodi

        Thanks, I was wondering, too!

  19. MELISSA

I wish that CVS sole American Greetings in my area… but they sell Hallmark 🙁

    • Savedbycoupons

Same here and very few $.99 cards.

    • Tina Matteson

When I lived in Virginia we had the same ‘problem’ and I spoke to the manager there and he said they would accept the American Greetings coupons/deals for the Hallmark cards. He said whether a CVS sells one or the other brand depends on their region.

  20. Angela

okay.. question I’m hoping someone can answer 🙂 I am new to CVS coupon shopping. Been shopping Walgreens w/ coupons (thanks TONS, Collin!) for a couple years now. First CVS near me opens TOMORROW at 6 a.m. woooohoooo!! 🙂 I won’t be there til later, tho, lol. K. So I signed up for a card awhile back after I saw the digging begin. hehe. Since I have to use my card for the ECB items, does that mean I cannot do say, 2 transactions for the same item. hmm.. ex. cadbury egg says limit 1. Can I do it in 2 transactions and receive 2 ECB? (I can at walgreens but they don’t have a card tracking me?) Or can I only do it once? Help !! 🙂

    • mel

ECB deals are tracked by your card. so for the cadbury, you can buy more than 1 if you want, but you’ll only get -1- .87 extrabuck in return. all deals are tracked on your receipt, and if it says Offer Limit Reached, then you know you can’t do the deal again.

      • mel

should add, if a deal says limit 2, you will get an ecb that reflects that amount. Like the pantene is limit 5, if you buy 10 bottles, you’ll get a $5 ecb in return, not 5 individual $1 ecb’s.

    • Savedbycoupons

You can only do it for the one. They keep track by the card & household. I saw someone that tried to use 2 cards for extra deals but they wouldn’t work because of being linked to the same address. I know some use different addresses to get extra deals, but I don’t think I need anything bad enough to lie over.

      • Angela

Thanks everyone – that is so helpful! I agree, Savedbycoupons. No deal is worth lying over. 🙂

      • mday

Yes they do keep track, I should know 😉 ! Make sure on limits that you read that fine print! If there is no limit your good go! Otherwise that card keeps track of everything~!!

  21. Linda

I am not seeing the Hellmans coupon on recyclebank….is it gone already?

  22. Lisa

I could not find the Hellmann’s coupon on Recyclebank. Is it no longer available?

  23. Lezlie

Just and FYI I was at cvs in Indiana today and they had the pur absorb iron on clearence 90%off so $1.94 and there was a $2 off next purchase inside. These are $10 with $10rr this week at walgreens.

  24. Annie

Can we not use any coupons on the $0.99 american greeting cards? I didn’t see any restrictions when I printed out the “free card” manu. coupon and the “$2/3” cvs coupon.

    • laura

I used it this morning for 99 cent cards and it worked perfectly.

    • Katie

I used both the free card and $2/3 coupons and bought three $0.99 cards this morning. I gave the cashier the free card coupon first, then the CVS coupon which adjusted to $1.98. I paid tax only and got the $3 ecb!

  25. edy

Here at my cvs. I used 5 cpns buy one get one free! Speed stick deodorants the cpn tooked $3.99 of each! I tolded the cashier that they were $1.99 she coudnt adjust it so $ maker. I had 2 speed stick .99 clearance that one it took .97 off but,the ones $1.99 with bogo cupon those tooked $3.99 off each. Which I had other items more to apply to the extra$$$

  26. Didi

If I already used the $2/3 and buy 2 get one free for the cards this week, can i do it for the sale the starts tonight/tomorrow?

  27. Amanda

Now they would limit the amount of Cadbury Eggs after the “Magic Coupon Machine’ gives me a coupon “Buy 3 Cadbury Egg Singles and get any 4th Cadbury Egg free”

  28. Emily

Collin, I think the Hellmann’s coupon is gone. I checked recyclebank and didn’t see it.

  29. Emily

The thermacare website states “limit one” regarding the coupon, so the deal doesn’t work as written.

    • mday

Well depends on you did it! I signed up once and then I went back and signed up for my hubby under his name and what not! So technically it does work!

  30. Kristen

For the “Spend $12 on Colgate, Speed Stick, Irish Spring products = $6 Ecb (limit 2)” deal above – six deodorants and 1 toothpaste – could we just buy the 6 deodorants? They are $1.99 each, so $11.94 … Would that trigger the ECB? (Of course it would only come out to $5.97 with the BOGO coupons.)

    • mday

Sometimes it does, other times it doesn’t but if it doesn’t just tell them to do it over again and include something else.. THey don’t mind..

    • nina

Kristen I did the deal this morning and bought 6 deodorants,a mix of ladies speed and speed stick, and used 3 of the B1G1F coupons and it DID trigger the ECB 🙂 stocked husband and i up for a while now!

      • Kristen

Thanks for the update, Nina! Now I just have to track down 2 more BOGO deodorant coupons 😉

  31. Saver Chica

  32. Saver Chica

    2 Lotion Cream jar

    Get back $3 ecb

Only $1.84 for all!!! Only $.46 per item!!
    Wow :))

  33. couponingintherealworld

Thanks Collin for the match ups! Lezlie, thanks for the heads up about the Pur..really hoping one of my “local” CVS have those!

If anyone is interested, I put together a “$5 scenario” how to get 34.15 in products for $4.69 at CVS this week. In the morning I have similar scenarios for RiteAid and Walgreens as well. I hope they will help others 🙂 they are based on having no ECB to start off with, so great for newbies at CVS…. I see someone has a store opening tomorrow…YAY!!!

I know money is tights so I keep the dollar amount low, even with little cash you can start really saving! Also I DO NOT subtract ECBs you walk out with from the total OOP. If you look, I’d love to hear what you think of the scenarios 🙂 just click my name above.

Thanks again Collin, I doubt I’d figure out the scenarios so well without your awesome match ups to check in with, I always miss something great! lol

    • mday

Thank you so much for putting that up!

  34. Lisa

If anyone likes Miller beer Decent deal this week CVS, 18 pak bottles sale 12.97, Digorgmio pizza bogo. $7.49, I got 2 pizzas large & the beer used $2/2 & $5 off miller 9ct or more wyb 2 Digormio, appx. $13 for all. Good luck and happy shopping!

    • mel

      Thanks for sharing!

      – #2 for the Salma Hayek deal, the CVS coupon is limited One Per Customer, so you will need to do multiple transactions. The 2nd coupon will beep as the coding is the same. Sometimes a cashier might push it through, but with the wording, I’d do them separate.

      – 3 for the Gold Bond, is the $1 stickie a CVS store coupon?

  36. Kelley

I want to see if someone can help me…. in today’s paper I saw a rebate for Colgate -Palmolive- it’s spend $10 get $5 rebate check… I want to know if I submit my receipt showing that I only paid $4.70 OOP- will I still get the rebate check?
Also the form states that I need to send in the receipt with the “price circled and the UPC information from the product packages. Does that mean I need to send the receipt PLUS all of the UPC bar codes? I just want to make sure I do this right…. Thanks in advance for any help!!

    • sarah

You are circling the individual price of each item, not your oop. It SHOULD be fine. And yes, send it both the receipt and UPC codes.

    • Pepi

You need to send your original receipt with the sales/retail price circulated. Even though you used coupons, they can’t differentiate what kind of coupons and on which products, so they don’t look at your final OOP.

Read carefully about what they want you to do with the UPC. Usually, if the product is in a box (like Thermacare, or toothpaste, etc.), you should be able to cut out the UPC code from the box as a proof of purchase, and include it with your rebate. However, if you purchased something like a shampoo, you can’t do that, so those rebates only ask you to write it down.

By the way, which insert had that rebate?

      • Porsche' Robey

i have 5 extras of this rebate email me if you want one…couponrobey at yahoo dot com…first come first serve.

    • M

      Kelly,
      1) Where did you find the rebate in the paper? I didn’t see it in the insert, was it in another section? TIA!

      2) Yes, you will need to send in the original receipt with the rebate form with the cost of the items circled and the UPC bar codes either written on the form if there are spaces for it or cut from the package and included in your envelope (I haven’t seen the form so I don’t know for sure which way it is).

      3) For most rebates as long as the items purchased totals the required amount before coupons you will qualify for the rebate. Very few require the purchase amount to be after coupons. Plus if you have multiple items on your receipt the company doesn’t necessarily know for sure what coupons went to what items.

      4) Also be sure to make a copy of everything for your records – rebate form, receipt and any UPC bar codes you submit before you seal and mail the envelope. I always write the date I mail the rebate on my copy so I know exactly when to look for the rebate check or follow up if I haven’t received it in the time it says to allow for processing. Most companies will provide a web address to follow up and/or track your rebate as well. By keeping a copy of everything you’ll have what you need in the event you have to follow up.

I hope this helps – Good Luck!

      • mel

It’s regional, it was in my SS insert. Make sure you purchase $10 worth (b4 q’s) as it has to be made in one transaction.

    • Kelley

yes- it was in today’s SS insert. I’m so excited that this turned into such a wonderful MM!

  37. mary

Can someone please help a newbie here! 🙂
when people list various transactions, are these done in one trip but paid separately? do you tell the cashier that you are paying for them separately? my head is spinning a little! lol

    • Sandra

Mary, you can do various transactions in one trip. Just tell the cashier you are paying for your items separately, but to make it easier separate your items and know what your different transactions are before going to the cash register.

      • mel

What I like to do is 1 transaction, step out of line to regroup, then do another and so on. especially like to step aside if there are customers behind me. I grab 1 rolling basket and 1 or 2 handheld baskets to keep each transaction separate. I normally don’t do more than 4 at a time.

  38. Grace

Does anyone have any extra BOGO Speedstick coupons? It’s the only deodorant that my brother uses and I would love to get a bargain on it since my area didn’t have it. My email is i.cooki@ymail.com Thanks!

  39. Izabela

    Thank You.

  40. edy

Izabela, look for the magazine there either by the pharmacy, the front door by newspapers, by cashiers counters!

    • Jodi

Mine is usually in the cosmetics department, on a bottom shelf with beauty tools.

  41. Izabela

    Edy, Thank you.

  42. Jen

Hershey’s Bliss chocolate didn’t seem to be part of the sale – I scanned the barcode and it didn’t come up with the sale pricing. Has anyone tried the Hershey’s deal with Bliss?

  44. AYESA

FOR THE PEPSI 12 PACK DEAL MY ADD HAS THE PEPSI 12 PACK AT $2.22 DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT COUNTS TOWARD THE PEPSI DEAL?

    • mel

are u in california? sometimes ecb deals are left out in certain areas. If it doesn’t say get $4 ECB, just giving you a sale price, then no its not counting towards the deal.

      • AYESA

YEAH, I LVE IN CALIFORNIA, I GUESS I WONT BE GETTING ANY

  45. Michelle

Check your Sunday 1/29 Red Plum for a rebate from Pfizer and eceive $10 MIR when you buy 3 participating products! I need to go buy another therma care now!

  46. Porsche' Robey

ok so im really ticked off the cashier at the CVS i went to (not my usual cvs) wouldnt let me use the american greeting card coupon from coupons.com site bc it says redeemable at walmart. i politely told her that it was a manufacture coupon and they COULD accept it, she said no she has tried it before and the register wont allow it, i asked her to ask the manager, whom for SOME reason AGREED with her!!!! i know that this is so not true!!!! i didnt feel like arguing i didnt have my coupon policy either bc i was in a hurry to do a quick trip before church! GRRRRR. some people.

    • Mish

Actually, I believe you are incorrect. In their recent release, they did comment that they will NOT accept coupons with another store’s logo. This is because they will NOT get reimbursed for those coupons. I don’t know about you, but even if my manager is nice enough to accept those coupons, I don’t want to rip off the store that gives me so many great deals.

      • mel

I can’t link it properly using my tablet, but if you go to CVS.com then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, click on contact us, then then click the link for FAQ, the 1st question is what kind of coupons does CVS accept, at the very end it says
Note – CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturer coupons with another retailers logo.

  47. Monica

Did anyone have trouble with the Cadbury ecb? It didn’t print for me and I didn’t realize this until I got home…I HATE when that happens…grrr!

Also, I bought 2 advil on my card and 2 on my husbands to take advantage of the ecb. Can I send both reciepts in with 1 rebate to get the $10 back? TIA! 🙂

    • Kim

I don’t think so! I think it had to be purchased in one transaction!

    • Julia

I didn’t get the ECB for the egg either and didn’t realize. Ah well. :/

      • mday

Cadbury was only one ECB on only one Egg.. I bought 4 because I had a CVS coupon buy 3 get 4th free plus they were on sale so I used it.. When I only got back one ECB cashier said it was only 1 ECB .87cents they were giving back to customer. She showed me the ad they were running and sure enought it stated, ” 1 per househould 1 ECB on the purchase of 1 Only Cadbury..

But if you didn’t get anything I would go back with my reciept and check with them CVS is good about clarifying and correcting or giving ECB if they needed to do that.

        • Angela

It was only for 3 days….not for the whole week

  48. SheIla

the CVS in Austin does not have the sunkist, ginger ale and A&W
on sale. I found out after I got to the register with my 6 cases and 6 bottles of detergent .
they have Dr. Pepper included in the deal.

  49. Jenny

Here is a good money maker for this week.

The Red Plum had a $10 rebate when you buy 3 Pfizer products. I also have been getting $3 of $15 coupons from CVS which don’t exclude sale items.

I bought 2 Advils for $4.49 and 1 Advil PM (which had a $2.00 peelie)
    1 paper 1.75 and a Cadbury egg $.87.

total after coupons 9.15 and I got 4.87 in extra bucks AND Will get a 10 rebate.
