You better check the demensions, I think they are a little different! I was running into that with my Ipad 2 and everything was fo the 1.

Well, no one will ever force you to buy one. I personally prefer my iPad2 to my computer and buying one refurbished was a lot cheaper than buying a new laptop when mine finally died. So I actually did save a few hundred on my overpriced gadget and now I will have a cheap cover to protect it 🙂

Kelly, where were you able to get a refurbished one? My mom REALLY wants an IPad, but can’t afford a new one. A refurbished would be a great option for her :). I got a refurbished MacBook and it was the best investment.
I think I have to agree. If you can really “afford” to buy something like that then you should definitely have no issue affording the accessories that are needed. I say this because I work at an automotive shop and so many times I have customers that have Mercedes, bmw, jaguar and they want to go pep boys, firestone and places likes that for maintenance like oil changes, alignment, tail lights . Then they get upset when they are turned away and told they need to go dealership and spend double to triple. Special cars have special requirements. Special tools or machines are needed. If you can afford to buy something like that then you should be able to shell out the money for the maintenance with a problem.
@Kelly & Nina why doesn’t anyone ever want to admit they spend $600-$900 on that thing? You could have gotten a laptop for a better deal. Last month I purchased the Dell Inspiron 1121 for $318.24 (taxes & shipping included) down from $700 and it can do A LOT more than an ipad can.
@Virginia, I don’t want to say I paid 600- 900 on it, b/c I didn’t. I paid less than $325. My Dell laptop died on me, I love Apple products and have a friend who works for Apple who found me the one I purchased. Could I have found a laptop for the same price? Absolutely. It is not what I wanted though. After finishing grad school I want something more portable and just plain fun 🙂 Good for you on your laptop but don’t assume what is best for you, is best for others. And yes, I can afford to shell out for a full price one and the maintenance that goes with it– I just couldn’t say no to the deal from a reputable source. I couldn’t be happier. Enjoy your Dell, mine was great for grad school and I still lovely Dell desktop.

People afford nice things by saving in other areas. Who cares what others pay for something they want? I think smoking, drinking alcohol, mani/pedi and Starbucks are useless but you don’t see me going “what a waste of money you idiot.” I think I’ll go enjoy my home brewed coffee and iPad now.
Oh, and drive my Jag to work in the morning. That’s fun as well. I didn’t spend 10 years of education for no rewards.
