If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens now has a corporate coupon policy available. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

Possible Cottonelle Toilet Paper deal (Valid SUNDAY Only):
I am stating that this is a “possible” deal due to hearing reports of a Cottonelle Register Reward deal starting Sunday, 2/12 and running through 3/4. Supposedly when you purchase 2 Cottonelle 12-packs, you’ll get back a $3 RR OR purchase 3 and get back a $4 RR. Note that I cannot guarantee this will work, so proceed at your own risk. And the reason that this deal is only valid tomorrow is because the regional $0.50/1 or $1/1 Cottonelle coupon found in the 1/15 SmartSource is only valid through 2/12. Alright, so check out the deal you may be able to score Sunday only…

Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 Cottonelle 12-packs $5 each (Note that last time a similar deal was available ONLY the purple package generated the Register Reward – not the blue. Something to keep in mind)

oops that $5.00 coupon is on the 120 count on the osteo bi flex never mind 🙁

  2. Lindsey

I took one fore the team and tried the Cottonelle Scenario with the purple packages. It was a no-go in Kansas. If someone finds out the blue ones work I might try to exchange mine. Otherwise, I will take it as a learning experience and keep my overpriced TP!

    • Kmom

A no go here in OH…:(

      • Erin

Thanks to you both! I was debating braving Wags. . . .

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for letting us know… I’m gonna update the post that it’s not working. 🙁

      • Kay

Yes it’s been reported that Walgreens is NOT on the list of participating stores for the Cottonelle Catalina (RR) deal. 🙁

      • melissa

ya no go in Vegas, the asst. Mgr Seth, checked down the list of RR they have and no cottonelle on the list.

    • joni

      Thanks for the info

    • Kari

The cottonelle didn’t work in ormond either

      • Julie

I tried it as well. I was bummed.

    • Jenn

No go in Maine either 🙁 Bummer !!

  3. squarejellybean

Will the $10.00 rebate for the CoQ10 work? If we pay 8.99 after (2) $7.00 mfc & (1) $7 wags coupon?

    • Lora

      Where is the $10 rebate..TIA

    • Laura

No, the $7 off coupon is for Nature Bounty CQ10 and the $10 rebate is for Factor brand CQ10.

  4. CoffeeB

The purple Cottonelle is not working in michigan either. I returned mine the minute I didn’t get a RR.

  5. Sue

    No go in MN too

    • Lora

No go for me either in VA

  6. jennifer

It didn’t work for me either, but I still think $4 for the toilet paper is a good deal. I used my man. coupons and the wags coupons and got each pack for $3.50. Does anyone know what stores are on the list for the catalina?

  7. jsmith1978

No go for me either on purple pkgs in KS

  8. Kristen

Chapstick is $0.99 in the ad this week, plus there is a $1/1 Chapstick Q in the Walgreens February Coupon Booklet. Am I missing something, or is this a freebie?

    • madison

the coupon only works on the one in the picture

  9. Heather

Has anyone had trouble using a coupon from the Walgreens monthly coupon book with a manufactured coupon? I tried to do the Huggies slip on deal and was told the coupons in the weekly book are like manufactured coupons because it states “Vendor funded” on the coupon. I have always used the coupons in the book along with manufactured coupons. Is this a new policy?? Anyone else have this problem??

    • Shawny

they apparently didn’t know what they were talking about……….I work at Wags in florida and we take both………..and there is a new infant care booklet with an extra $.50 off one

      • Shawny

coupon code for $.50 off is (5969) it says $2off 2 but it only take off $1/2

        • Kh

Where do you find the infant care booklet?

    • katee

i dont know if you have any old flyers on hand but a GREAT thing to save in your binder, or whatever you keep coupons in, is a page of the walgreens flyer with a deal that shows the walgreens sale price, minus a monthly coupon book coupon, minus a manufacturer coupon. then it shows “final price” at the bottom. for example the kettle chips deal a week or 2 ago. it was (somthing like) 2/$4 sale, then minus $1/2 wags book Q, then $1 manfacturer coupon off of each bag, then final price 2/$1. i dont remember the exact scenario, but if you find something like that in an old flyer cut it out and keep it as a reference so you can show them that they even advertise using both a manufacturer coupon AND a manufacturer coupon together 🙂

  10. madison

my got2b coupons didn’t beep! so I ended up getting 3 boxes of grape-nut cereal and 4 cans of got2b products for 3.97!

  11. Kh

FYI about the Almay deal. It’s a no-go on the clear complexion concealer. The cashier said its only the concealer + treatment gel. I ended up getting that instead and paid $2.50 each. Not a bad deal since it retails for $10.

  12. Gail

    Pooh,
No Got2b coupons in this region…If anyone is willing to trade for something message me…

    gail.mercer@insightbb.com

    • Alla

      Same here Gail,

No got2b for WNY but I had to buy them on ebay. My hubby really likes these and this is the only product that he uses every single day to make his spikes. LOL. His spray is almost finished and I did not tell him of this deal yet. Wanted to check my paper first. I usually dont buy from other sources but had to buy it this time cuz it’ s gonna be his b-day in few weeks and I wanna make a nice bascket with these to surprise him.

    • Kristi

No got2b coupons here either in the Albany, NY area. Soooo disappointed!! 🙁

    • Jennifer

I’m in Buffalo and I didn’t get the got2b coupon either. The redplum seemed pretty thin this weekend. I was happy to see we got GE lightbulb coupons in the SS, though.

      • Alla

Jennifer I feel you. Iam in Buffalo too and was so disappointed when I found out there is no got2b in our sunday paper. I really need the spray soon so I had to order the coupons. Not gonna be counted as free after buying the coupons but still good as far as dh is happy with getting his spray 🙂

        • Kelly

I’m in Rochester and received the $3/1 Got2B coupon! I did not receive a few others I was hoping for though =/

  13. Sarah

For anyone buying the Disney vitamins, I bought 2 and the register printed out a coupon for $2 off 2. I’m not sure if this is rolling because I didn’t go buy more. But I probably will with it being such a great price and now I know my kids really like them!!

    • Jen

At my Wags (in vit section) there are coupon books – Answers Vitamins and Supplements – there are $1 Disney Princess vitamin coupons. They are Wags store coupons so you can use them with the $1 MQ and the BOGO to get the Princess Vits for $1 ea.

  14. Kari

Did anyone in ormond beach fl get the got2be hair products coupons?

  15. cas467

If anyone would like to trade or tell me where to get the got2be coupons, I would appreciate it so much. I am a college student and I use these products everyday!! No coupons in my regional paper.

    • Jennifer

I didn’t get them in my paper either. I was able to place an order on ebay for some. I’ve never ordered coupon clipping services from ebay before so I guess we’ll see how it goes

  16. couponingintherealworld

If anyone is interested, I have several transactions worked out to get $39.41 in products for $5.45.
This assumes no RRs or GC’s to start off with.
Great for Newbies, those having trouble figuring out laying out transactions or anyone else I hope 🙂

    • Amanda

      what cha got

  17. Mitch

Re go2be, they do not adjust down in my store. They also do not take coupons for free items. I would love to hear if anyone found that the Walgreens registers did this for hem, I had the same situation with the Ubiquinol and the $7 coupons.
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • couponinnc

the manager at my walgreens rang up an extra got2be and after the coupon went through deleted it. I didn’t have a problem with the coupons for the cq10 but the register auto minused the free one at -22.99

    • couponinnc

I ended up paying 9 dollars instead of 2 still not a bad deal but the 2 would have been a great deal!

    • Tabatha Soliz

My Walgreen ‘s girl knows me &told me they were not allowing them too use the 2nd coupon on the free one, but she did do it for me. She had to ring the 2nd q up at $2.98. So I paid $.60 for all 4 of them. (tax)

    • katee

the same thing goes for all of the walgreens monthly coupon booklet coupons. for example the almay collin posted about…it will NOT take off $3 for each one for a total of $6 off, it will only take off $4.50, because they are BOGO 50%.
i work at wags and this is how it always happens with our registers. the monthly coupon books dont act the same as manufacturer coupons and take the amount off the total price(for example the 29.99 minus $14), they more so “adjust the price” of the item. so once the Ubiquinol walgreens coupon is scanned, it basically “adjusts the price” of the Ubiquinol from 29.99 to 22.99, then BOGOfree, makes them 2/22.99 then use 2 $7 manufacturer coupons, brings your total to $8.99 for both of them, so $4.50 each. it does not show up on the receipt that they are 22.99, it shows that the wags coupon took off $14, but that is before the “total” key is hit by the cashier, then the computer automatically adjusts the price to what i described above.
ii have worked there for years, the coupon system is pretty confusing but there are many great deals to be found!
and about them not taking coupons on the free item are you referring to wags coupons or manufacturer coupons? because if you are referring to MQ’s, it is in the coupon policy to take “up to 2 MQ’s on a BOGO free sale” that is as long as the MQ’s permit it. but if you are talking about wags coupons off of the free products, then see my explanation above. hope that helps you! 🙂

      • CJS

Yes, Katee is right…I did the Ubiquinol deal about a week ago, and I paid the $8.99 for both (still a good price IMO).

    • Deana G.

My Walgreens would not adjust down the penny either. The manager said that the coupon stated that the amount could not be changed. I never found where it said that but whatever..I wasn’t in the mood to argue. Fununny thing is htough..they did adjsut down my cortaid coupon a penny. I think they just do whatever they feel like at the moment. I may try a different store tomorrow or just go to my more coupon friendly CVS and get a deal on the items there. I think I am about done with Walgreens. There are too many headaches.

      • Houstonmama

Deana, bring the corporate coupon policy with you. I can’t tell you how many times over the past year I’ve been in a Walgreens and heard “you can’t use that coupon because then you’ll get the item for free” (for example if it’s buy one get one free $5.99 and I have two $3/1 coupons); I just bring out the coupon policy and say “the corporate coupon policy says that you must adjust the second coupon down”. I just did it again today, and the assist mgr said she had no idea that Walgreens even did that. Just be polite and give a big smile and whip out the policy! Best of luck to you.

        • jimayra.garcia@yahoo.com

          Hello,

I am NEWWWW at couponing and I was SOOO excited with the got2be sale. I searched High and low for the coupons and ended up diving into my community recycling to get it. I sauntered into my loal Walgreens and was SHUT DOWN!

They told me that they only way that they can do it is if the items ring up at 1/2 price. I think I will print out the policy and try again…..I have to put on my big gurl pants though…I am not much of an arguer.

I even called another location to double check.

    • Lauren Gantman

I went to one store in NYC at 23 Street and the got2be were not on sale. One store in Queens the manager added 1 cent to the price instead of adjust the second coupon down. When I went back the next day to the Queens store to do it again, there was a different manager and she would not do it. She said I could not use a coupon on a free item, I did not have the policy to show her.

  18. Ashli

Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers, Pull-ups or GoodNites $8.99
Buy Huggies Little Movers Slip On diapers $8.99
    Use the 3/1 IP
Plus, use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the February coupon booklet
Plus I talked to the manager and she said I could also use $1/2 ICB
    Final cost $3.49!

I know the ICB says $2/2 but it rang in $1/2 I wasn’t going to complain.

  19. Brandy

Like everyone else I didn’t get the RR for Cottonelle…of course I don’t have a smartphone so I can’t read everyone’s comments on the deal until I get home. So, I used a $5 RR from a previous transaction and the manufacturer’s coupons and the IVC coupons. My total came to $2. Since I didn’t get the RR and there are mixed reviews on this tissue…I can’t decide if I still got a good deal or not…or if I just wasted my $5 RR.

  20. craigen1

Is the Huggies coupon regional? I didn’t see it my SS.

    • Serena

Must be, I didn’t get it either.

  21. kimmy

    • Cheryl

      Thanks!

  22. Candice

I had trouble with the Almay B1G150% deal and the CoQ10 B1G1 deals today. They told me that when you use the Walgreens store coupons, it comes off before you do the B1G1. So for the CoQ10, it was originally $29.99 but with the in store coupon for $7 off each you only got a discount of $22.99 for the free one. Then using the two MFG coupons for $7 off you subtract a furthur $14. So you actually pay $22.99 – $14 = $8.99 for both, not $1 each like the above post says. I had the same problem with the Almay. So anything B1G1 will not come out the way it’s depicted above.

    • Ron

I had the same experience also with the CoQ10 B1G1

I thought I was doing something wrong. It was still a good deal at $8.99 but lower would of been better.

So for next time there is a B1G1 it only will deduct once not twice when using the WCB.

      Am I correct?

  23. squarejellybean

They would not let me use 2 coupons for the got 2 b products 🙁 so I went to cvs and paid .99 cents each just because I luv CVS

  24. sarah

Where do I get the new infant care booklet?

    • katee

some people got it mailed to them in baby magazines. but i dont know if it was available in stores, my store did not get any. they expire on the 28th anyways

  25. jarzack

I used a wag coupon $1off and a man. coupon $1 off and it made it $3… .25 a roll is a good deal these days =)

  26. edy

My friend went to walgreens for the got2b products shelf wiped out found 2 and the cashier told her she could only use 1 cpn! She argued about the policy! And cashier said if u read the policy it also says that manager can limit sales! I don’t shop there! So, I told her go to cvs some products got2b have 2 bottles together $3.99 pay .99 better for me don’t have to worry about walgreens!!

  27. edy

Also, if anybody lives in texas look for this newspapers LA SUERTE, LA VOZ, LA SUBASTA.. They will have if not this weekend coming up! The week the 24th they will have a insert in spanish colgate, softsoap, fabuloso, irish spring there located by metro stops, meat markets, grocery stores everywhere even if u don’t read spanish!!

  28. Tarin

I had trouble at Walgreens also. I submitted a very nice complaint on the website and I had a manager from my store call me this morning and assured me that she will make sure that all managers know that you can use 2 coupons on the Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotions. (I had the coupon policy in hand when I tried it on Saturday and the manager told me she didnt care what it said I couldnt use 2 coupons!!) So I went in today and the cashier told me I couldnt use them either, but we got a manager and right away he said yes she can!! I do have a question about the Almay Make up though. I tried the deal yesterday, I bought 2 concealers for 9.99 each. The Buy 1 Get 1 50% off took off 3.50. I was not sure if this was because I used the Walgreens coupon book coupon on it so it took it down to 7.00 and then gave me half off of that. I was going to ask about it today but there was a huge line, so I just left. Did everyone who tried the deal get the $5 off like they should have?

    • Shawny

I work at Walgreens and when you use a coupon from the monthly coupon book it is more like a discount so if the original price is $9.99 and you use the $3 coupon from monthly coupon book it makes the price $6.99 so when the 50% off is applied it deducts $3.50, I hope this helps you understand a bit better. My store had these on clearance for $3.24, so I got it for $.24 plus tax……….which was an awesome deal.

  29. Kingsmedia

Had trouble at my store with the got2be. Manager had never in his career adjusted anything down. Wasn’t comfortable with it. He was very friendly however. Said he would email corporate about it and asked if I would be willing to come back in the a.m. I agreed. Let’s see how it plays out. :/

    • Tabatha Soliz

I had an awesome trip today at Walgreen’s. I got all my Got2be items free. The manager worked with me very well. He flat out said ” couponer’s know our policy better than we do”. He adjusted the q as stated in their policy an it was easy sailing. Also scored on some Gold Bond body wash. They had it on clearance for $3.59, used my $2 off q from a recent insert an was only $1.59…jam up deal. Keep an eye out in your stores, oh an saw some stride gum on clearance for $.97.

  30. Anonymous

I could NOT get the $5 RR Vicks/Puffs deal to work, we tried with and without coupons and 2 different registers no go. They offered to print a form I could mail in but I didnt want to pay for the stamp to send in something I should have gotten when I paid. Anyone else having isses?

    • Bea Heng

I too experienced this and the manager offered a mail-in rebate but I did not want to go that route and decided to return all the items instead. I got back all my coupons and RR I used on that transaction and was told by the very very nice cashier to come back in a day or two when everything would be figured out. She then let me use 8 got2b coupons in the same transaction and did not limit me to the LIKE FOUR COUPON rule so all in all I was very pleased. Also, if you get to know your Walgreens people they help you a lot! I got my got2b products free today so I am very happy.

      • Anonymous

Thanks Bea, they just kept the coupons and gave me the full sale price of the items back, I wont have time to retry the deal later this week so that was fine and at that point I was just too fed up with the whole thing. They did adjust my got2b paste thank goodness. CVS would have just printed out a ECB. This is why I DONT like WAGS.

    • Sharon M

I had issues with this deal, too! I used the Qs, then it did not print. I was out in the parking lot with my toddler, who was getting antsy, when I realized it was missing. Went inside and they called in a manager. He said it was because of the Qs. He did a fake transaction without Qs and out it printed.

  31. Lillie Hollingsworth

HELP! I went to walgreens today to do the got2be deal and the manager said that she would be committing fraud by adjusting it down. She argued over and over again. I am so annoyed.

    • joe

Call corporate, that is what I did, the manager on shift argured with me that you can’t use two coupons on a buy 1 get 1 free sale and that they can’t reduce by a penny, so store manager called me back “to explain to me how to use coupons” so again I called corporate, and asked to be pointed in the direction of his boss, since I have been to other stores which have let me do the deal with no issue. I received a call from the distric manager and all is well. Since the first time you call it goes directly to the store manager, if you have

      • joe

Sorry got cut off, if you have issues ask for someone higher up. He resolved my issues in a timely manner and was very understanding. The store manager I had should have done that in the first place.

  32. Kari

Was the got2be coupons regional? Or are we gonna get them this weekend in ormond beach Florida?

  33. Tama-rama

I got my two free products with this deal. The second coupon beeped but I politely explained that the coupon might need to be reduced to $2.99. He looked at the purchases on my receipt and just pushed it on through at the $3.00 coupon amount. There was a great selection at my store – I’ve found that it helps to find a store that is tucked away in a more well-to-do area… fewer coupon users.

  34. Emma Lynn

I just went to Walgreens in my hometown. I tried the $20 in Vicks or Puffs products to get the $5 RR. But the RR didn’t print. I asked the cashier why it didn’t print, so she got her manager. The manager told me that it was because I used coupons on the items and that if you use coupons on the items the RR won’t print because then the total value is below $20.
I have never heard of this before and never had this happen before. Have any of you?

    • Elizabeth

yes, at my walgreens in Indiana they also told me that it has to be before coupons. I have been couponing for a year now so I am familiar with things. I tried it at other stores as well in my are and they still say the same thing. I have learned to just skip the deals where you spend “$20 and get $5 RR”. Stinks but that is just how our area works…

  35. Kimberly Harris

What has happened to all the great wal-green deals. If I go back two years ago the deals was unbelievable , so many free items. My cabinets are almost empty now but I’m grateful for the great deals that I was lucky enough to get in on, back a few years ago. I’m in need of some shampoo deals if anyone knows of any please tell me. Thanks, Kim from Ky.

    • Rachael

I agree, the deals used to be fantastic at Walgreens, but have decreased significantly. I am guessing it’s because so many more people are couponing now. Oh well, I am still grateful for any good deals I am still able to take advantage of.

  36. edy

I had been told before, by a walgreens cashier about 2 months ago. That if anybody uses cpns manufct cpns the register won’t be printing Register rewards. So I quit walgreens. Cvs my store! I had a issue with my cvs card lost everything in the system! I had 2 receipts for 2 gift cards! And couldn’t redeem! But, cvs put everything on a new cvs card and gave me my gift cards! And bucks!!!!

  37. Kathy

I live in Central NY & my Wags ad doesn’t have got2be on sale & a fellow couponer went in & the manager said no as well. I had ordered 24 coups & don’t wanna pay 99 cents a pc. Does anyone live by any of the Syracuse area stores that got the deal? I pre ordered my products last wk so they’d be available for me(thanx to all the shelf cleaners).

    • lisa

You can use the got2be cpns at Price Chopper, they are on sale for $3.00 this week, you don’t even have to deal with Wags.

  38. Kathy

Cont’d…. I pre ordered for no reason I meant to say… The clipping service I used was thecouponclippers.com- they are cheaper than most of the others.

  39. edy

I live in houston I have a lot of african americans friends they don’t use Got2b and offer to give me all their cpns! One just brought me 20! And bringing me more later!! If u text me ur adrees I send u some! -I don’t use the computer don’t know how to check emails! Using my phone for this please text me ur adrees at this number281 JGMW0AM ,(numbers for phone)

  40. Kari

I have a question. I watch extreme coupling. Is it for real and if it is where do they find those coupons? Thank you very much Collin for all the great tips you give us

  41. edy

Here in houston, I have like 40 friends that cpn! I been cpning for 17 years! And before I didn’t see that many cuponers! I used to buy the newspaper back then it was .50 cents! I would buy, 3 to 5 newspapers! And then newspaper went up! I would spend my weekend saturday going to stores! To get all the deals! Kroger used to double and tripple cpns! And then 5 years ago the cpns came on some free newspapers spanish! And then everybody gets those and some ladys jump in the recyclable bins some papers have all the inserts! And, then, I have over 40 friends that cpns! Hispanic, african american, caucasian and even a male on the group! I buy about 10 newspapers and I have those that share cpns! And me, I have friends at atmost every grocery store! Except walmart, and walgreens so I know the sales ahead! And, me I can’t get on all the deals! They text me the sales if they see something or some bring me items. And my other friend gave me 20 got2b! And I send those to my cousin out of town! And my friend has a friend that just sended me 20 more! Too many! So, text me number above! I send u some cpns! Cut no charge! I won’t send the whole insert cost too much to mail! And if anybody wants to share only red plum this weekend! I need the starkist tuna autentico! In exchange for any that u all want! Thanks!!!

    • Teresa

Would love to have some got2b coupons please?
