If you go through Google and search Ten thousand Villages clearance it will take you to the page , but I found the bracelet and even with the discount code is still comes out to $15.30 … not $1.91….:(!

Ya, I don’t think this is really that great of a deal…if you’re ordering these dollar things just because of free shipping….why don’t you just go to the dollar store? shipping is free if you go to the store too! haha…I’m not trying to be mean about this “deal” but it looks like a bunch of junk with outrageous prices to me….lol
If you can’t say anything nice about items made by people in 3rd world countries, why say it? If people want to spend money on what you think is “junk,” that’s their problem, not yours. I just wanted to state that I have purchased items from this site before and I thought they were amazingly crafted and great quality! These very UNIQUE items are great for birthdays and Christmas! I always order extra of what I plan to use as a gift because I end up liking it so much I keep one for myself or household. I’m sorry you feel that way and you shouldn’t speak poorly about products you know nothing about!
Have you ever been to a third world country? Try going to Haiti (where I have been) and telling a local artisan that the necklace they spent an entire day making wasn’t worth what they are asking (probably $1). An artisan in Port Au Prince that makes $5 a week is living well. By living well I mean they have rice, clean water, and a tent. This is one instance of couponing for a cause. VERY WELL MADE, VERY WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!
Wow! What a rude and ignorant comment! I live near a Ten Thousand Villages shop which is run mainly by volunteers. The items are handmade by people who live in Third World Countries! I have bought many beautiful items and will continue to support their mission.
When I tried to calculate my shipping after applying the discount, I received a message that I needed to contact them to complete my order. Then I noticed in tiny red print the items I wanted to order weren’t in stock. Bummer!

Just a note – Ten Thousand Villages is a ministry of the Mennonite Church that supports third-world artisans and gives them a livelihood. They practice Fair Trade. The Mennonite churches around Columbiana, Ohio ran a successful Ten Thousand Villages store for about 20 years, until the volunteers were all elderly, and no younger people stepped forward.
