Yay!  Coupons.com has released a new $1/1 Adidas Personal Care product coupon!  There are no size restrictions on this coupon, so head on over to Target or Walmart to possibly snag the travel size deodorant for FREE (although, I am not sure if all stores carry travel size Adidas deodorant?).

And, can any of you tell me whether or not you like this deodorant or if you have another recommendation, as I am looking for a new one.  When I run, well, hmmm… even men’s deodorant doesn’t seem to help me… yikes! 😉

(Thanks, A Thrifty Mom!)

I love the Secret Clinical Strength deodorant. I have always used Dove and Secret, but when I would work out, that stuff wasn’t good enough. I got the clinical strength on sale for around $2 a few months back and stocked up on it. I love it (just pricey without a coupon or sale)!

  2. zoe

clinical man’s mitchum, omg, that stuff makes my hubby smell good, used to work in the factory making cars, and is now in the army. those are sweaty jobs!

the secret outlast works pretty darn well for me and i can understand your problem bc it took me a long time to find one that actually worked! i hate paying so much for it…the cheapest i can usually get it for is $3, and that is using a coupon! but if it works ill buy it any day of the week! 🙂

  4. Shannon

I use Ban and it works great even when I am working in the yard

  5. Shannon

The Secret Clinical Strength is great! I sweat something awful and use it daily. It does the trick for everyday but also does great at the gym and at dance class! I agree…it can be a bit pricey, but even when I can’t find it on sale or with a coupon, it’s my splurge! Good luck!

  6. Pauline

Secret clinical strength! The Gilette clinical strength workd good too but you’ll smell manly

  7. Stefanie

I agree on the clinical strength! Worth the price.

My husband sweats more than anyone I’ve ever seen in my life and he uses Lavilin Underarm Deodorant Cream. It is the ONLY thing that works for him and you only need to apply it about once a week. He used to buy it at a local healthfood store, but they stopped carrying it, so found and ordered a 3-pack for soap.com. I don’t remember the cost, but it does last quite a while and works miracles.

thank you for sharing the info on lavilin. we ONLY use natural deo in our home, and this sounds really good. we currently like origins a lot, but have used avalon organics, toms, and birch tree as well with ok results. i worked outside all day today and origins did great, but when i would go to cool off i would wash my arms and underarms of sweat and re-apply the origins. 10:30 pm and still working well 🙂 but i know if i wouldn’t have cleaned up, it wouldn’t have lasted all day.

I don’t have a stink problem, but I have an issue with wetness. The only thing that has worked for me is roll on Certain-dri. It’s crazy good.

    • rosebudds

YesI agree. Certain Dri is the best. I had serious issues w/ sweating so much that I ruined clothes, couldn’t wear certain material or colors, and actually sweat in the winter just underarms. Then I saw a cheesy commercial for it, took a chance, and years later I’m not sweating anymore. Use it everynight at first, but w/in a couple of days you will notice you can cut back and pretty soon use just on occasion. I hope you try it. I could do an infomercial for it!

      • rosebudds

One more thing. I used the one forw s thetness. Its not the regular deo. Sbb

I run and Crossfit daily, I sweat a lot. Sometimes the odor is from bacteria, not the actual sweat. I wash my underarms w/ Panoxyl (8% benzoyl peroxide) and use Mitchum Antiperspirant in unscented.

    • Liz

      I <3 Crossfit!!!! 🙂

clinical strength helps but I sweat horribly even w/clinical strength…in the summer I change shirts a few times a day if I am outside.

  12. Steph

The key to antiperspirants is how much aluminum they have in them. Most have aluminum chloride or aluminum zirconium which prevent sweating. I usually buy the cheapest one with the most percentage of one of these ingredients. For instance, I bought Old Spice Active Zone antiperspirant with 19% Aluminum zirconium (I get the one that smells the least manly) and this is comparative to the Secret Clinical Strength which has 20% aluminum zirconium. The Old Spice only cost me $0.50 compared to spending the $4 for the Secret and it works great and smells good all day. Hope this helps!

i love Mitchum gel, not the clinical strength solid. I can skip a day using the gel if I’m not doing too much.

  14. Dora

CVS has the travel size speed stick on sale for $1 each when you buy more then one so if you still have at least 2 CVS Q for a $1 off one you can get some for free

  15. midget

Are you wanting a deodorant or a deodorant/antiperspirant? I don’t even bother applying anything when I run; I’m going to sweat, it’s a given, and it almost feels like a dermal purge, kind of cleansing. I always shower after, though. But for everyday wear, I need my antiperspirant. I’ve always been fond of Secret, and had good results with Dove, but I dislike the Mitchum brand. And all gel formulas – blech! I’ve tried the Secret flawless, Lady Speed Stick gel and the Mitchum gel; like the idea that they don’t leave residue on clothing, but I smelled and felt like I was using nothing.

Hey Collin, I used to have a wetness problem too…very upsetting. I was using a moisturizing soap like Dove (love Dove though) under my arms and it was clogging pores. What I read and have done and it has worked, was get a loufa (sp?). I stopped using any soap on my underarms, used the loufa whenever I showered, made sure to shave all the hair under my arms, took not so hot showers, and used Lady Speed Stick. What works for me it to not put deodorant on until I have completely air dryed from my shower….like after I get to work. Then I put some on and not too much…the more I was putting on, the more I was sweating. I put ice in my coffee now too…and know how much you like your coffee! It took a while to stop sweating and sometimes I can feel it coming…likely it is when I am getting too hot from liquids, showers, or too upset…lol. Hope this helps you. The one thing to note is….occasionally I feel like my armpits are smelling a bit like an old sour washcloth…that is the time to change out your loufa. 🙂

Ditto to what Amy said! I use a loofah to scrub under my arms, to get the deo residue off. Sometimes I’ll use Dial bar soap, esp if I’ve been outside doing yardwork, but for the most part I just use the loofah with warm water. For shaving, I use Schick Intuition under my arms only. Using a razor & shave gel or cream was causing a problem for me. But once I switched to the Intuition, I’ve been fine. Air dry completely after showering and applying deo. I swipe very lightly.
I bounce around Dove, Degree or Secret solid sticks (antiperspirant/deodorants). I don’t care for gels or roll ons, those make me sticky and feel like they’re not working. Lady Speed Stick made me break out, so that’s a no-go for me too.

  17. Tarri

I have looked for Addias in the Travel section at both Walmart and Target and have not found any.

Try 3 Adidas Woman Action Intensive Women 24 Hr Anti-perspirant Deodorant Roll On. Pricey, but works for me: https://www.amazon.com/Adidas-Action-Intensive-Anti-perspirant-Deodorant/dp/B007TK1X9G/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1336616260&sr=8-19.
I also use thin pantiliners (like carefree thin) when i wear jackets on top of sleeveless tops, just attach them to the inside of the jacket it will absorb the sweat and u avoid stains/smell. sounds crazy but it works 😀
I saw the underarms liners to buy in Europe but why pay if we can get similar for free?

  19. Mel

For everyone who sweats excessively, I used to have the same problem until I had my derm prescribe Drysol. I never sweat through my shirts anymore. I used to put panty liners underneath to absorb sweat, but it made me feel terrible. I can wear any color I want now. One bottle has lasted me forever. This is for extreme cases only, but it works.

  20. Katie

I just had a quick question (not sure where to ask) as this always trips me up. I was reading a coupon I printed that says not valid on Trial sizes. Are the trial sizes the same as the Travel sizes?

    • Brittany

      Yes:)

      • brooke

no!!!!!!!! no no no no!!!!!!! lol! they are NOT the same and theres even proof, yes PROOF!!! on almost all P&G coupons say excludes travel/trial sizes. so they are saying that they ARE 2 different things. hope that helps!!

  21. Amanda

    they dont make travel size

  22. Maggie

My suggestion is to stop using solid deo and switch to old-fashioned roll on (e.g., Dry Idea). It’s annoying to let it dry, but it works sooooooo much better for me at stopping wetness.
