Yay! I look forward to their clearance sales on makeup. Thanks for letting us know, Collin ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Lisa W

Thanks for posting this link! My CVS is notorious for not marking clearance!

  2. TerraV

Also, if you go to covergirl.com they are offering a $10 Rebate on a $20 purchase! Go to the website to print the form!

    • Kara

The rebate is ONLY for the Covergirl+Olay products, which are new so I’m guessing not on clearance.

      • mary

Nope, the Olay+CG items aren’t clearanced. I only saw a few CG items on clearance—some darker colored compact powders.

  3. Mandy B

Awesome. Yesterday I got a $4 off $20 beauty purchase coupon at the coupon machine. Make sure you scan your card when you go in.

  4. Kelsey

I also received a $2/1 any cosmetics and a $4/$20 beauty purchase from the red machine!

Just a heads up everybody. A couple of years ago when I started buying stuff from CVS I was amazed at the great deals in their make-up section. I bought a lot of products for 75% off. While with most products, you can’t tell if they are expired or not, when it comes to lipstick, you can. It just gets a very rancid smell… don’t know what else to call it ๐Ÿ™‚ Check your make-up collection for any lipstick that you know older than 3 years and smell it. Yes, that’s what expired lipstick smells like. No need to tell you that you can’t put it on your lips. Besides probably being unhealthy, it just smells bad and it has a cakey texture.

After I bought several lipstick products over the years and all had the same problem, finally decided to ask google about CVS selling expired products and apparently it’s a common practice. There was some scandal with expired medicines.

It is very disturbing that outside USA all companies are required to put the expiration date on products, but not in here. They all have that 24/36 months from opening, but that has no more value when the product has been stored in improper conditions for a long time: too much light, high temperature etc. Besides, what happened to the products that were opened by customers in the store ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, some people do that.

A few months ago Rite Aid had organic and natural products on clearance. Again, I got excited. Bought a Giovanni body lotion, which is usually $10, for $2.50. It also came with a try me free rebate…. which I didn’t check until I got home :))) And when I did… it said mail the receipt by 12/31/2010. Yes, that was 2 years ago. And the product seemed indeed to have a funny smell. Another disappointment.

This is just my opinion, but I thought it might help more people make an informed decision. Sorry about the long message. Have a great weekend everybody!

    • Niki

good to know. I feel the same way. I kind of hesitate to buy because I really don’t know how long has that products been there.

    • animity

Two months ago I bought physicians formula from CVS. It was disgusting. All dried up and smelled horrible. They did take it back but was so disappointed. It is a buyer beware thing.

Certain colors of Sally Hansen Crackle polish are also 75% off. With the $1/1 coupon from coupons.com they’ll be .75. And the 3D color will only be .65 after coupon.

Oh, and I got a Beauty Club email earlier in the week, for $3 off any Revlon cosmetics purchase, so that should make for a cheap or free clearance item.

    • Stefanie

Yes, I bought one of the Sally Hansen 3D color, didn’t know there was a coupon for it so I might go back and get a couple more!

  7. Melony

I got a $15 off Physicians formula coupon the other day from the extra care site plus the $4 off $20 beauty purchase coupon from the machine (they actually used both on the purchase.) I ended up with a PF Phmatch lip gloss, almay smart shade and PF concealer for free.

    • Amy

I got the same two coupons… plus a few of the physician’s formula moisturizers (SPF15 and eye cream) were marked down to $4.99, so I bought three and used both coupons… I got $4 overage on my other items!

  8. Jill

I just wanted to let you know that I received a $15 off Physician’s Formula skincare item yesterday. PF’s regular skincare items (not the anti-aging ones) were all on clearance for $5.25 (check your local CVS and be sure to scan the PF skincare – these were not marked as clearance)! So I picked up a bottle of PF face cream, two packs of CVS diapers (also on clearance, $4.44/ea for the jumbo packs), a can of nuts (sale price $2.99), and four Tressemme travel-sized shampoo/conditioners (99 cents each and I had two $2/2 coupons). After all coupons were applied (the coupons did not beep and there was no problem with the overage applying to other items in my order) my total was just over $3 – after a $2 ECB applied, I only paid $1.05 oop! It was a fantastic day at CVS! ๐Ÿ™‚ THANKS, Collin!

    • fran

      Great job, Jill ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. Emily

    AHHHH I’M SO EXCITED!!!!

  10. A.R

Oh.. I so wish we had a CVS near by.. sigh!!

  11. HaydenRossi

I was able to use my $3 off Revlon purchase coupon that I received via email this week to score some Revlon foundation for $.74 (it was on 75% clearance). Not too shabby for a product that retails for at least $12. It didn’t count toward an ECB, but was a much better deal anyhow. Wahoo!!

    • mel

but it will count towards the beauty club!

    • Teresina Bliss

I bought Revlon too and the cashier printed the ECBs for me……. so the clearance doesn’t count for ECBs? I will know for next time….

  12. Nancy

does any one know where can i find PF face product ..

  13. Beatrice

I noticed the CVS brand of baby diapers are also on clearance so you can check those out while you’re there!

    • Dawn

Good eye Beatrice! Thanks for the heads up! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • lindsey

be sure to scan your card at the machine; mine printed out a $3/$10 CVS brand products which I combined with the clearance diapers for an awesome deal!

  14. N

Thanks for the post. I love CVS!

  15. edy

Some, cvs haven’t marked their items but, I found some cover girl eyeshadows creams and berrys. And some almay cream blush and bronzers. Some rimmel mascara and loreal and revlon liquid foundation.

  16. amhale11

I got some clearance items last week and used the $4/$12 CVS Q plus mfr Qs to get awesome deals!!!

  17. Becky

The CVS here did not have many items marked (maybe they will soon) but as someone mentioned above I did get Diapers- CVS Overnight diapers (27 pack) for 4.44 plus tax… Good price for Overnights. I also got a 50 pack of size 1s for my cousin at 4.44 a pack— Awesome price.

  18. nouveaucheap

(I’m not sure if my last comment went through–if if did, please delete this one. Sorry!)

Thanks so much for the mention!! I’m a huge fan of your site and this totally made my day. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, I want to let CVS shoppers know that even if there are not signs or clearance stickers on merchandise, that does NOT mean they’re not reduced in the system. Try taking some of the items in my post to the scanner and they SHOULD come up on clearance in the system.

    Hope that helps!

  19. mary

I got a $3 off Almay from the red machine when I scanned my card. There were a few items such as concealer and a blush that were 75% off so very cheap or free with that coupon.

  20. Bri

I went to my CVS today in SoCal. Some things were 50% off, nothing was 75% off. Still with some of the coupons mentioned above I scored 2 lipglosses, 2 mascaras, and 6 eyeshadows for $26! On the receipt it said I saved $44. I never see a machine where I can scan my card and get coupons tho ๐Ÿ™ oh, I also got some rewards bucks at checkout. Overall, I think I got a good deal ๐Ÿ™‚

    • lindsey

Bri, I am in SoCal as well and nothing was marked at my store. I printed off the list on noveaucheap’s website and grabbed a bunch of the items and took it up to the scanner to price check. Almost everything on the list (that I could find) rang up at 50-75% off even though it was not marked!! It is those specific products in those specific shades and colors that you have to scan.

  21. Keke

I found little manicure sets with tweezers, clippers, scissors, and a nail file for $.50! Lemon lip balm for $.40, Almay liquid blush for free after the magic coupon machines$3/1, and revlon mineral make up for $2.50! The little stuff was perfect for my daughter who is 10 and is super into nails and chapstick!

  22. Beth

You can not get the $4 extra care bucks when you spend $10 if you get the clearance tried today and did not work so make sure you get the full priced stuff. But, the lipsticks in first pic come out to be $2.50 after 75% off originally almost $10 and I bought a long tube of lip gloss or stick for $2 after 75% off originally about $8.

  23. Emily

I got wet n wild nail polish, eye liner , lip liner and lip stick All for free!!!! It was all $0.99 and I had a $1.00 off!!!! I’m so excited!!!

    • Emily

Oh and it wasn’t on Clarence it was on sale, so no work for searching for stickers ๐Ÿ™‚ .

  24. lmarie

I was able to use my $4 off $20 in beauty MCM coupon with 4 $3/2 pantene coupons, and used 4 $.50/1 gain liquid soap coupons. paid $12.63 (less out of pocket with my previous ECB’s) and got back a $10 ECB for buying $30 worth of the P&G items. 12 products for 2.63. Not bad!
