I called and asked about this and I was told you can only get the extra gift card one time for a prepaid card in your name. You can get it again if you order it for someone else. It’s one per (new) customer.
I just called and she said if I cancelled the cards that I have now that I can get it when I purchase a new card. I’m not sure who is correct but I am going to cancel and verify again.
Am I reading the “terms” correctly? I understand it to say that each person can purchase up to 3 cards with only 1 card in the name of the purchaser and the purchaser will get $25 per card. So the purchaser will get 3 $25 gift cards.
That is correct. You will want to put 2 of the 3 cards in someone else’s name as a gift if you want to get 3 cards. I believe 1 goes to each.
Where do you see that you can get 3? I read the terms and did not see anything about getting 3 and put 2 in other’s names.
I did it. That’s how I know. I bought 3 cards.. 3 is the max per bank account.

I called a few days ago and they verified that I would be getting one from the June promo. They said they ship 6-8 weeks after the card was funded.
No, I haven’t gotten mine either! I’ve been expecting it any day, because we are at the end of the 6-8 week period this week, as far as I can figure!
I received my $25 gift card 2-3 weeks ago.
Is this the same as prior similar offers where you have to link your bank account?
Yes, you do have to link your checking or savings account to it that’s why I am not going to do it. If I could use a credit card to add the money to the card I would.
I tried this with the load $50.00 get $10.00 — I got the $50.00, but no bonus card

I was wondering if anybody used these cards at an ATM before. It says no fees are associated with the 1st ATM use per month but I was wondering if the ATM itself charges the card a fee? I am not sure where to use the card at!
I couldn’t fin an atm that didn’t charge a fee. I received my 3 $200 cards from the June promo and promptly turned each into $180 cash (the atm takes $2 off each card), then used the remaining $54 total on all the cards at Walmart. So I’m wasting $6, but getting my immediate money out of them, if that’s what you’re after. I’m still waiting on the 3 $25 cards as well. Patience… I think it took a week and a half to get the prepaid ones.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the prepaid card(the $200 one, not the free $25 one)?

I have used america xpress prepaid cards and jus so u know they put a hold on it – like at gas stations –
FYI, if you aren’t sure where Amex is accepted, do square up instead. There’s a very small fee, but you can basically get your Amex card and then stick it right back into your account.

Did this earlier. Beware, have not received the $25 from last offer. Did not cost anything just was a hassle to order and load it, then get nothing for the promotion.
We are still within the time frame – they said it would take 6-8 weeks from the time that your money was loaded. If I recall correctly for me that was the 3rd week of June – which puts us in our 7th week of waiting! It should be here by next week, if not – then they are late!
Just so everyone knows, the benefits of the card has a lot of catches. It says there roadside service is included but all they do is call someone. You have to pay whatever it cost to tow, unlock your car, change tire, etc.
In this day and age with internet cell phones and GPS systems that have lists and phone numbers of the nearest auto service station, this so called “roadside assistance” is worthless. Real roadside assistance pays for the services.

I used my $200 card from June’s promotion at several stores, and there were no fees at any store. It works like a credit card. You can withdraw money once from an ATM with no fee (of course the ATM will probably charge you, but Amex wont!) – and then your second of the month is a $2 fee according to their website.
I am waiting for my $10 Gift Card for last month’s promo. The prepaid card is free of fees but i think the gift card has a one time purchase fee ranging from $2.95-$6.95.
Two weeks ago I purchased one for myself, and two more for each of my kids with the $10 promo. Does anyone know if I can qualify for new offer? TIA
I still had not received my promo 25.00 free card from the Aug promo. I called today and AMEX had not shipped them. They transfered the 25.00 to my prepaid card instead.
