Staples Rewards are pretty darn easy! Rewards members earn 10% back in Staples Rewards on all ink & toner purchases, 10% back in Staples Rewards on all case & ream paper purchases, and 10% back in Staples Rewards on all Copy & Print purchases. Staples Rewards are issued monthly when the value of the Reward is at least $10. Monthly balances of less than $10 will roll over each month until the minimum is met for that calendar quarter. If the $10 minimum for the quarter has not been met, the balance will expire at the end of the quarter. Rewards and Recycling Rewards are redeemable for most merchandise in Staples stores, online at www.Staples.com or by phone at 1-800-333-3330 but cannot be redeemed for or applied against taxes, cash, credit remittance, delivery charges, custom printing orders placed online, promotional products, Staples gift cards, third party gift cards, prepaid phone cards, postage stamps, prior purchases, Staples Industrialsm purchases or any purchases made on other provider Web sites.
is this also apply to the 3 hole punch paper or only the non punched paper?
I was thinking you might be able to use the 15% school supplies on this too. It would reduce your oop expense and your reward by the same amount
Not sure. I have had a hard time with that pass. You can’t use it with any other discount or coupon.
15% off school supplies only able to be used on single reams, not cases. That’s what I was told anyway.
This sounds like a great deal, but you have to remember that you’ll then have $39 in Staples Rewards to spend at once, which can be a lot for some of us.
Ink… 🙂 That will suck up that $39 very quickly
Never use rewards on hp ink!! There’s always promos and you will not get rewards if you redeem rewards to pay for it.
You can actually use it over 2 shopping trips. If all my rewards are not used in one trip a receipt for the balance of the reward “spits” out. You must use this receipt all at once though (ie. you won’t get another rewards receipt). I have done it several times like this. Even if its 2 cents that was left over the receipt pops out with 2 cents to use for next time.
Unless Staples has changed (again) I think you could technically even use it over 4 trips… my experience has been that they break up any rewards into $20 increments. So in this case, I would expect to get one $20 reward and one $19 reward. Both of those rewards could be used one with the balance printing our for a second trip.
Thanks for the tip Collin! My kids teacher’s LLOOVVEE free cases of paper!
Natalie, I think they just send you a check in the mail for the $39. Like a mail in rebate?
You will receive a check in the mail that’s what is great about staples!
I receive my rewards via email. After Staples emails the rewards, I have about two months to print and use it before the expiration. $39 is a lot, but it would help pay for printer ink or paper towels.
this is for $39 in rewards not a $39 rebate… the rewards are not in the form of a check, they are in the form of a staples store coupon basically. you have to spend the $39 at Staples… but there’s always something there to buy! 🙂
oh nevermind, I thought this was an easy rebate. Probably won’t be doing it then. I love the free paper after Easy Rebate deals they have been having though.
Ok so I buy this and when do I get the receipt to go back and get ink 😀
They’re offering the $2 off hammermill coupon again also = free a $4.99 easy rebate.
*free after
Where did you find the $2 off coupon?
Here’s the coupon for 2 free reams of paper. This is a rebate, not Staples Rewards so you don’t have to use the money at Staples for future purchases: https://tinyurl.com/staples2freereams
Hello from MISTER CHEAP! you can answer your questions at http://www.staplesrewards.com (you can also sign up for a free account if you’re not already a member).
If you purchase the case(s) of paper now, you’ll get the rewards check VIA ONLINE in mid October. They no longer MAIL OUT the check, you log in and print it out when it’s available.
I should add, even if you don’t need ALL this paper, please consider getting it and donating it to your child’s school, your church or synagogue, charity, etc.
If you “max” out and get TWO CASES, be certain the cashier SCANS your coupon 2x to cover both cases.
If you have other questions you can’t answer at the rewards site link above, please ask, and I’ll do my best to answer you.
Thanks! MC
And…if we dont get it back til mid october, that means it’ll still be valid on black friday:) so surely there will be free after rebate items enough then to get a complete reimbursement !! woohoo!
that is correct. Rewards issued in October should be good til the end of Jan 2013 for regular staples rewards members and good for six months for Premier level members. They are valid ONLINE and INSTORE for Black Friday and in general.
Collin, having problems with my comments posting, I log in after I post and it flips back to the deal page I was on and the comments never appear. Please help!
never mind, now I see it. oops!
Thanks Mr. Cheap-great info 🙂
Those papers are really not free if you add in the tax. With Texas tax, i’ ll end up have to pay .32 cents a ream
however, when you redeem your rewards, NO TAX is charged on the amount in most states, so it does even out. especially if you spend the rewards on something you really need that you’d have to pay tax on anyway (say putting it towards a new camera on Black Friday or similar purchase)
.32 for a ream of paper is pretty cheap!!! I share with my kid’s current and former teachers and they think that’s great. With all the budget cuts, it’s an inexpensive way to be helpful. I also share with our local Children’s home that houses abused or neglected children. It’s a win win.
just to clarify, THIS IS 10 REAMS of paper in a case. You must buy the entire case, they are heavy, so ask for help if you need assistance loading it into your cart or car (or bring a strong person with you if you can’t lift it)
Just to verify, we cannot use our Staples Rewards on other items that have Rewards attached and still get the Rewards back (roll them). Can we use our Rewards on items that have the Rebates and still get the Rebate $ back?
yes you can. That’s what I usually do. That way I’m spending little money out of pocket. Works great!
rewards can be “rolled” in rebates, but rewards cannot be “rolled” into rewards. Staples doesn’t work like OfficeMax.
I like Staples better because on the Staples easy rebates I can actually get a check back (quickly) and have money to spend. At Office Max I only get money to spend in their store.
How long is this deal good?
ends Saturday 9/8
I purchased 2 reams lastnight but still not seeing my rewards online on my account? Does it take it awhile for them to be added?
yes it does take awhile to show up
thank you
