Wow! I have a *HOT* Toys R Us deal for all of you who own a LeapFrog Leapster Game System or may have taken advantage of the smokin’ Walmart.com deal I posted the other day.

You see, Toys R Us is hosting a buy 2 get 1 FREE sale on their Leapster Learning Games in-store and online! Plus, this gets even sweeter because quite a few of these games are also on clearance for $9.98 (regularly $24.99!). So after the buy 2 get 1 FREE sale, you’ll pay just $19.96 for 3 games, making each game just $6.65! If you shop online, most of the games qualify for FREE store pickup if available at your local Toys R Us or FREE shipping on orders of $49 or more.

If you shop in-store, you can actually sweeten this already sweet deal even further! You see, the *HOT* Toys R Us Groupon offer is still available to purchase (if you haven’t done so already). This Groupon voucher costs just $10 and is valid for $20 worth of All Toys, Games, Electronics, and Kids’ Clothing from Toys R Us and/or Babies R Us (in-store only). This means that you can use the $20 voucher on the Leapster Games deal highlighted above (just add a little filler item to get up to the $20 amount) to score 3 Leapster Games for FREE after the voucher. So when you add in the $10 cost of the voucher, each game costs just $3.33! Wowza!

Keep in mind that if you shop in-store these will likely be marked on clearance for $9.98, but not on sale buy 2 get 1 FREE. However, when you start the checkout process they should ring up this way. I would also run on over there soon if you are interested in this deal, as I’m guessing these games will sell out fast!

(Thanks, Anndra and Kelly!)

How long will this deal last?

  2. Scarlett

Do these games work in the leap pad?

    • superchelseald

      nope 🙁

      • hicksvillechick

That states that on the Leapster EXPLORER games work in the Leap Pad… not the plain ol’ Leapster Games.

    • Elise

The previous platforms Leapster2, Leapster Classic, and LMax Gaming System are not compatible with the LeapPad tablet system. Games designed for these older platforms will not work with the LeapPad1 or LeapPad2.

  3. Ann

Anyone know if the Leapster games work on the Leap pad?

    • Lc

They do not. We have both the leap pad and leapster and they take different games 🙁

  4. musicalminded

deal is good until December 1st!

  5. tricia

not sure but I think they work in leap pad 1… not leap pad 2

    • Linda H

They will not work with either Leap Pad.

  6. Hallie

Seems they are all out in Columbia and Charleston, SC. Tried to order online, but the deal is limited to one per person (or order) and I don’t have $40 of other items I need or want to purchase. Great deal though and I hope others are able to take advantage of the offering!

    • Leah

I am in Columbia, too 🙂

  7. Amanda

Thanks so much for the info! I was able to get the Leapster2 deal yesterday, so it’s awesome that I was able to get cheap games for it, also! I ended up having to pay for shipping 🙁 but I had a couple different gift cards, so I was able to get them with nothing out of pocket. 🙂

  8. Heather Nicosia

All out of stock near me and thats 27 miles away. Thanks for the heads up anyways! 🙂

  9. carol g

The store Five and Below in New York and New Jersey have several leapster Games at $5.00 each which is their regular price..

    • Heather Nicosia

We just got stationed down south from Jersey! Any idea what games they have in there? I have friends and family that could possibly help me out. 🙂

      • carol g

They have toy story 3, disney cars,i think tangles..I think each store has a different variety..They had 5 or 6 diff ones..I thought that was very cheap..

        • carol g

you can probably call the sore near you and they will let you know what they have available..Hope that helps you..

          • Heather Nicosia

            Thank you!

  10. Gentle

And, remember if you go thru Ebates you get 3% cash back on Groupon purchases.

  11. mariannealetta

The Groupon only works on one purchase valued at $20 or more so it won’t actually work for this deal (I know, I tried it in the store on Saturday at 5 pm).

    • musicalminded

i thought about that too, but then I added a candy bar to put me over the $20 🙂

    • Kelly

I just added one item to make my total just over $20 and it worked. Maybe try again?

      • mariannealetta

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear with my comment. What I meant to say is that what I was told when I went to the store last night is that the Groupon only works on a single item priced at $20 or more. I’m glad that it worked for you with this deal on line, but I’m mad that the guy at Toys R Us told me differently last night. Oh well!

        • Heather

Let them know that they are not correct. I used my groupon on 2 games totaling to $21.06 (DS Buy 1 & get 1 for $1 deal).

  12. Sly

how do we enter our groupon?

    • Heather Nicosia

      In store use only 🙂

    • mariannealetta

You can only use the Groupon in store.

      • Sly

thanks you guys! our local Toys R Us does not hold items over the phone so I had to pay for them online and chose store pick up to avoid shipping fees. The lady on the phone said I could go down and reverse my credit card and re-purchase with my groupon. Hope this helps someone 🙂

        • Kelly

          That’s what I did also. 🙂

  13. Chrissy

Can anyone recommend a game for a 2 yr old to start with? Thanks!

    • Tyanna

My daughter got her leapster at 2 also. She loved the cooking game on the princess Tiana game. That was the only one she could do all by herself. The crayola art game looks easy but haven’t tried it. Hope that helps!

  14. Nicole

I ordered 3 games… completed my order, and only THEN it tells me one of the games is now unavailable. So I paid for two and didn’t get the free one. I’ve been on hold for twenty minutes. Grrrrrr >:-\

  15. Nicole

After being on hold for 36 minutes, I finally got a representative who was not able to help after they cancelled my free game. So she said all I can do is cancel the order, there is no way for them to add a different game for free. UGH!

  16. Amber

I am so confused. I did the Walmart deal and bought the Leapad Leapster 2. Do these games work for that? Thanks!

    • Linda H

The walmart deal was for the Leapster 2, not the Leap Pad, so yes it will!

  17. Stacey

    Free shipping with Shoprunner work?

    • Kimberly

No shop runner…and some of the most popular games are now unavailable for pick up (in my area, at least) and also unavailable for shipping. I am 45 minutes from a T R Us, or I would be over there snatching them up right now-Great Deal!!!

  18. Jennifer

I just ordered 2 online last night so I emailed and asked to get in on this deal because my order has not shipped yet I called also but after being on hold for 20 minutes I got hung up on

  19. Eve

Our stores sold out of this games on Friday. But I was able to do this online today. Paid shipping, but that still puts them around 10 each. I was looking on ebay and games were going close to 10 (plus shipping) used. So still a good deal.

  20. jiya

which are the best games to order?
shoprunner is not working & customer service is not picking up)-:

    • Crystal

My daughter (4) loves the Sponge Bob game and the princess games. My son has kind of outgrown the Leapster but he used to LOVE the dinosaur game. I think all the games are pretty educational.

      • jiya

        Thanks!!

  21. Amy

Worked at my local Toysrus in Buffalo NY! Only 2 games left though 😀 AMazing deal with the walmart deal (which shipped today!) YAY

  22. Crystal

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I find Toys R Us such a hassle to deal with – I am afraid to even place an order after reading these comments and worrying that my online order is going to get messed up. It kind of gets to the point where I don’t even what to give them my business (not just because of this particular deal, but because their prices are high, their coupons exclude nearly everything, and they never seem to have the “free” items that they advertise. I know for sure that they have a good assortment of games at Five Below, so if you have one near you I would definitely check that out.

    • mariannealetta

Amen, sista, I couldn’t agree with you more!

      • Jennifer

and make customers stay on the line for 25 minutes then hang up on them

  23. Jeni

This deal worked in Antioch/Pittsburg ca. I just left there. There is no signage at all, no clearance signs or buy 2 get 1 free signs but when I took it up to register they scanned the clearance price & b2G1 I used groupon but had to add licorice (poor me lol)

  24. liz

Hi please help! Do these work with the Leapster GS Explorer?

    • Crystal

No – these are older games that will only work with the original Leapster or Leapster 2.

      • liz

Thank you Crystal, I appreciate your help!

  25. Heather

I remember these games selling for 2 for $10 not too long ago. I’m going to get a few of these.. but keeping the receipt just in case the deal comes again before Christmas time! 🙂 Thanks for the posts. CAN’T WAIT to see what kind of posts you will have for Cyber Monday – WOOHOO!

  26. Krissa

I went to my local TRU (Portland, OR) and was bummed that they only had 2 versions of $9.98 games left. Then I was wandering around and found a third one just lying on a shelf. Score!
