This is actually a great deal even if you have a machine! The carbonator bottle is $30 ($15 if you’re swapping out an old one), $10 for the sampler pack, and an extra bottle is $10-$15. Might be worth doing it even though I have the actual Soda Stream already!

For those of you who do not own a Soda Stream machine already, I just wanted to say this is a fantastic deal, and I highly recommend them. Our kids dont drink soda, thank goodness, but when hubby and I want a soda, its so easy to get one with the machine and they are certainly healthier than regular canned soda. Jump on this deal!

I found a web page that says to use thawed frozen fruit juice concentrate and then mix with the carbonated water. That way you don’t get overly watered down juice. Of course, don’t ever carbonate juice itself unless you want to risk an explosion (I came across those stories as well in my search!) You can then make all sorts of sparkling juice combinations depending on your desires.
I will also be trying the “nectar” juice products that come in the aseptic boxes. They are a little too thick and sweet to drink straight, should be good with the soda water.
Definitely do not carbonate the juice. i just had to try it. Used a half bottle of grape juice and well pretty much painted the kitchen lavendar. Grape juice everywhere even coated the lightbulbs and blades on the ceiling fan, top of the fridge, all four walls cabinets ceiling and floor…..

No, you can only carbonate water as there is an explosion risk. There was a machine on the market that would carbonate anything but it was recalled.

It helps reduce waste for one. Also if you lack storage to house 2 liters and cans, this helps. It works out to be around the same price as cans on a good sale.
I’ve wanted one for a long time as I don’t own a car.
If you have a family member who drinks energy drinks, their syrup is spot on to Red Bull (and the sugar-free one is good as well) and that’s really where the savings adds up. I always buy the syrups with a coupon (BB&B or Kohls). We’ve had ours for three years and have gifted at least a half dozen of them since then.
I use mine everyday….we make seltzer and then just add orange juice or any other juice for the kids for a treat. And for me…. wine spritzers 🙂 I rarely use the soda flavors, we are more of the plain seltzer.
I no longer have to lug the seltzer bottles from the store and stock up when they are on sale, (and of course then carry it inside as all my little helpers who live in the house seem to scatter when I need the groceries carried in!) and I don’t have that annoying pile of recycling to go back to a store. (Huge plus in my book, one less thing on the mom list!) This is a great item to buy for someone!

I didn’t realize this but I got the pearl vendor selzer starter kit, how is this one different. I looked back on the web page and it’s not there anymore. It was $99 instead of $79
It must be sold out. It had an additional bottle and the starter kit was 12 as opposed to 6 for the other one.

Just FYI, we bought an adapter online several years ago that allows you to use a regular paintball CO2 bottle instead of the one that came with the sodastream. That makes each refill about $3.50. It’s not as sleek and pretty as the original, but for us it has more than paid for itself.
Do you remember how much you paid for the adapter? They look pretty spendy with my quick online search.
I think it was around $50, but for us it ended up being cheaper than getting refills via mail since there is no place to exchange them around us.
