Well I FINALLY got through after a lonnnngggg process 🙁
I’m a sucker for “bags” so I got a $56 one for $6 + shipping.
It’s probably only worth $6 and not worth paying for shipping, but after checking out all their items for close to 30 minutes, I decided I would go through with the order.
The best part was, that after the verrrryyyy lonnngggg bank verification, I received my confirmation page and it had the wrong expiration date for my credit card!! GOOD GRIEF!! So, my order will probably be canceled because of that. LOL! We’ll see…. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Maybe that is a good thing!! Have you read the reviews about that site???? Very sketchy that most people say they never even received their orders and can’t contact customer service! I hope if it isn’t cancelled that it all works out for you though 🙂

How could they charge a “customs” fee if they don’t disclose that on the order form?
I guess I’ll have to wait and see and then file a dispute with my credit card compnay if they attach that fee to my total. Scarey, but….fingers crossed it will all work out 🙂
Customs fees are to be paid when you get the package. They won’t tack it on to your credit card bill.

according to what I’ve been reading online its usually anywhere from 20% of the item to $8 if they charge a customs fee
OK…so I looked around their site and found at the bottom of the page “About Us” and after reading a bit further, they wrote: “In the unlikely event that you incur customs duties, just contact our call center who will be happy to arrange a refund.” There is a toll-free number at the top of the page. I feel a TEENY bit better lol. Just thought I’d share that info 🙂

I went ahead and went through with it as well and made sure to pay with Paypal. My order was exactly $50 so I only paid the $8.99 shipping charge.
I was able to get a beautiful blouse and a pair of high heels!, I also got my hubby on the phone (Who is in New York) and he was able to get a nice pair of cargo shorts, and a pair of leggings for his sister. FINGERS CROSSED!!! hopefully this deal would work!
Oh no! I ordered something, using paypal, and got a really bad feeling. Came back here and there’s a Warning sign above the post. I can’t cancel the order, can’t get through to Customer Service, and on Paypal it SAYS the money has already been transferred from my bank account. My bank doesn’t have record of it yet though. What can I do to cancel?

Colin generally puts warning if she has not had prior experience w the company. I’ve always proceeded with caution and low expectations and 99 percent of the time I’m pleasantly surprised. I snagged two pair of sneakers for zero plus the 8.99 shipping. Worth the gamble 🙂

If you read some of the complaints, the consumer must pay a duty tax (the items are imported), and they company runs credit reports on their customers for some reason. I like the styles, but I am not ready for an international shake down. I did order from Lane Bryant on cyber Monday. 50% off and free shipping, or you can always have the items sent to an area retail store for zero shipping costs. The 50% off is still good, and applies even to their sale items. I purchased all sale items…and I did pretty well. But Simple Be is not even their actual name. I took the time to read the terms.
For anyone who is ordering shoes the letters mean the width of the shoes so the letter D is regular width letter E is wide width EE is wider and so on… just some info I work for a retail store.

I am quite surprised this is posted with all the HORRIBLE reviews of this company. I don’t even think I saw 1 review that was above 2 stars and TONS said they never received their money back…i am going to pass. Not worth it.
I’ve just wasted over an hour of my life searching through things to try to find something to purchase thinking this sounds like a great deal. Everything decent is out of stock, or will be back ordered. I finally settled on a pair of satin pj’s and to my surprise they were in stock. Now, I am regretting my purchase after googling the company’s reviews. Not good at all!! Lots of people saying not to order from them, they are thieves, you won’t get your order and unexpected out of the country surcharges for delivery from UK. At least I paid w/ PayPal and not my credit card, but I am hoping all goes smoothly.

Teavana rip-off warning.
Their site wouldn’t let me check out after I entered two gift cards. They kept on bouncing back saying my gift card cannot be used at this time, call the 877 number. I called the company. The recording asked me to leave a call back number. No calls. When I called back, the office was closed. I tried to order again online. This is the worst part, this time, not only they don’t take my gift cards, but they say my gift card balance is zero!! The card balance was taken but I couldn’t order anything. All that time spent for losing money. This was my very first Teavana online experience….
Well, I feel sick! Serves me right! I’ve been wondering about these free merchandise deals that come up, whether they are worth it or not. Figures I race to find qualifying items and checked out. If I would have used common sense, I would have remembered if it’s too good to be true, IT IS 🙁

I’ve ordered a million things from other countries and have never paid a custom’s fee. However, a lot of credit cards charge a small (like under 50 cents) foreign transaction fee.
o no after i didnt read any of these comments till after i placed an order i now feel like throwing up but i found another code to use so i not only did i get the 50 off 50 but i got another 30% off and free shipping so my total was .70cents but still if its a scam then they have our info and now i have to watch my card like a hawk and my hubby is going to be ticked cause its his card. ugh what a nightmare

Two of my three items were backordered about an hour or two after I ordered them, but the other item says it’s still set to ship. So we’ll see what happens! Just wanted to give an update.
I’ve ordered from Simplybe before and had no problems. The returns are a hassle as you have to use only their returns but the company is ok.
I never do these things that Collin puts a warning on just because I dont want to deal w/the headache. But, I recently (maybe a year) started getting simply be catalogs all the time. They always have nice stuff but now that i saw all these comments, I won’t be ordering from them. So thanks for postings everyone.
Saw this when it was posted last night…had a weird feeling…skipped it. I had checked the comments and first comment was why is there a warning at the top of the page? I was on my iPhone and I didn’t see that warning and still don’t. Weird! This may end up being a great deal but I am glad I passed on it. Hope everything works out for those who ordered.

Simply stating that this site has horrible reviews from even people inside of the UK (NOT the US), saying they were charged hidden fees, shipping took forever, the quality was crap, or they never received it and never got a refund, never got a refund after returning, etc.

Girls…. I have ordered from them before. They sent me a postcard with a code. Just like this a couple of months.. But that was for 30 off 30…well I ordered and did get my order. Took a couple of days because some of it was back ordered. And before I even saw this deal posted.. I had seen online this code and ordered again from them last night… I had no problems..
But they do take a while to send you your items..

No I didnt have pay customs fees… I ordered several pairs of panties..
Some of them were backordered… so they sent shipped individually.
so they broke up the charges –which were like 10 dollars in half..
But I was very pleased with the quality of the panties.. So much that I ordered more last night..

Everyone please understand that there is ALWAYS the possibility of customs fees when ordering from over-seas. They have to include this in their terms and conditions to cover themselves. Owning my own business and shipping internationally all of the time, I understand this first hand. I send as a ‘gift’ which should block customs fees, yet my clients still get charged them from time to time. It’s completely out of their hands whether there will be customs fees on your package or not.
It’s illegal to send purchased items as a gift. You’re committing fraud by circumventing the customs process.
Hm, I always wondered why when I ordered a couple things from China (I know, I’m terrible. Whatever, I love my pig necklace. 😉 ), why it said it was a gift on the customs form. Now I know! Always fun to learn. 🙂

Thank you! I placed my order last night and didn’t think to check the site out before ordering…I was just too excited about a good deal! I’ve been fretting ever since about the bad rep. for the company and the customs fees 🙁 But if the site you linked to is correct, it looks like the value of the items has to be at least $200 to be charged duty (at least for women’s shoes, which are what I ordered). That really helps put my mind at ease 🙂 Still may take a while for everything to get here, but for $8.99 for two pairs of shoes, I’m in no huge rush.

Well I hope it works..I snagged three pair of super cute shoes that were all on sale for 9.99 total.
Okay so I was all ready to order. Read the terms and everything and was going to do it. I had not put in any payment info but I just clicked to accept the terms. A few seconds later the phone rang. Some guy with an accent telling my car loan had been approved. I don’t have a car loan, not looking to get one. He knew my name (sort of) though and when I started to question him about who the company was and all… he hung up. May not have anything to do with my order but then again, it might. Trying to get my info out of there if I can. Wanted some good jeans on the cheap but not going to risk giving them any more information.
I ordered and tried to pay with my debit Mastercard and it said it was declined. I asked for me to sign up with Secure code. So I tried again after that and it was declined again! Then I stupidly tried to use my VISA card and it also was declined! So hopefully I don’t get charged all those times!
Same thing happened to me but mine was a ore paid debit card(gift card) and it said my card was declined.. I tried multiple times.. Hope they didn’t charged me.
