is this heater cool to the touch? I have a little one in the house
Jan says:
I have a Lasko upright and the actual unit is cool to the touch. But where the heat comes out of the vents can get pretty warm.
stacy says:
fyi this kills your light bill
anonymous says:
how do you know? i’m not judging, i’m asking because i’m a dope at electricity costs..
Ashley57 says:
If you use this instead of a whole house heater, it will actually save you a ton of money. Also, I think it would not cost that much to operate in general, kind of like leaving on your toaster oven.
MommySpendsLess says:
These portable heaters do use a lot of electricity, but I think whether it kills your electric bill is relative. For my mom, who has an older electric central heater, running a portable heater occasionally in the room(s) they’re spending the most time in is more cost effective than starting up the central heating system. We have a gas central heating system that is super cheap to run (at least compared to our almost-too-small electric air conditioner) but I get cold very easily so we usually just heat the house a few degrees with the central system and I sit with a portable heater near me so I’m comfy but everybody else isn’t roasted. My mom and I both live in Florida though, so regardless of how the hubs and I choose to heat the house and to what temperature, my winter electric/gas costs are usually about 1/3 of our summer costs.
Sarah says:
Thanks this will be great for camping when it gets cold

video review of this product- you might want to consider this
anonymous says:
wooops, i’m sorry collin. i was trying to post the video link, not sure why the whole video showed up
Jan says:
Thanks for the video but I dunno…anyone who puts a portable heater on the end of a glass table with the cord hanging down and a dog running loose, deserves a burn hole in the carpet. Obviously the carpet got burned because nobody was in the room. Any heater should be used with supervision, right? Sheesh, I’m cranky today.
anonymous says:
I guess. This isn’t my review, it’s from some reviewer at Amazon. Please check other reviews on Amazon if you will.

Jan says:
They are still in stock on Amazon. I have Prime so that was a better for me than Ebates or Shopathome because — no tax.
Jan says:
$10 shipped.
Ashley57 says:
You can get something through Prime and use Ebates?
Jan says:
Sorry if that was misleading. Amazon is often a straight-up better deal for me in MN because there is no tax added. I saved more money than if I’d gone through Home Depot via Ebates, etc.
Rachel says:
Limit 1 per account for Amazon. Still worth it, THANK YOU to who posted the video. We plan to put this in a corner, up against a wall, and use it sparingly.
tnguyen says:
How did you guys get it for 10 shipped? I don’t have a prime acct, is that why? My shipping is 8.95$
Elizabeth says:
Woohoo for free amazon prime student membership! Of course I don’t need a heater, but at least I remembered to sign up for my free 6 month prime membership, lol.
Suzanne says:
I have this same heater in our bathroom. It is great. I only use it during the winter during shower/bath time, so I don’t know about the heating bill effects, but it does work very well!
Amanda H. says:
Thank you! Been needing to get one of these for my son’s room. Even with the plastic over the windows, his room is ALWAYS freezing in the winter. Thanks again!
cher says:
Thanks. I wanted to come back and let you know I got it and a spectacular price I couldn’t tell if it had a tip over/off function but most do. I use several through the house as it has cathedral ceilings and out the hot air goes. Space heaters help . My heating bills are outrageous. My power company seems to have caught on and are trying to raise our rates again and again…)
So happy because it looked like I couldn’t get it for the price with a web bloop not sure why.
Anh says:
DARN IT! I saw that price on Amazon once. Then stop to think back and forth… When I decided to buy, it’s gone up to $22 =.=”
Lindy says:
is this price no longer valid? I see the product @ $22.89?
Edie says:
Noooooo my boyfriend has been pestering about wanting a new space heater for such a long time now, this would’ve been awesome! Price is back up now though.
