Can you use this to buy gift cards? Anyone know?

  • Christopher Dean says:

does it allow you to buy gift cards?

  • Monica says:

I was able to print twice by clicking on Collin’s link, closing, and reopening. Thanks for posting!

  • Rebe says:

Thank you Collin, I just recycled the one I previously printed because I didnt have a chance to use it and it had expired.

  • Linda says:

The fine print states “GiftCards and tax will not be included in determining purchase total.” So the answer is no, you cannot use it to buy gift cards.

    • Renee says:

I was able to buy gift cards last time- just not Target or Visa.

    • Jenn says:

I wonder if that just means target ones. I am calling my store first.

    • CW says:

Not true, as others posted, “entertainment” cards are OK. I got one $50 gift card and the coupon worked.

    • T says:

GiftCard is what target cards are called and it is registered that way (look at the coupon). Other gift cards are not the same. So yes any other than target gift cards. But i would not flood calls to your target stores or corp bc this is why they change coupons bc last year it wasnt on there at all. When people alert the stores to deals they change them or end up not doing them again.

  • Jenn says:

Why cannot print off of my iPhone? Do I have to download something first? Anyone know when it expires?

  • Katie says:

I didn’t have to print mine last time. I actually went to the store, showed them my phone and instead of them giving me a gift card they just took 10 bucks off. My husband and I both did this and ended up saving 25 off the iPod shuffles we bought for our kids thanks to this deal and a 5 off 75 coupon! I was stoked! :) just ask them if they can work with you if you don’t have a printer.

    • Sarah says:

Thanks for the info! I was wondering if you could use your phone. My printer is down.

      • Laurie says:

Same here! Kicking myself for not getting one on Blk Friday, since it was giving me trouble then… of course it waits to die til now.

        • Kiki says:

I tried to do that and they wouldn’t accept it. Said I had to have the bar code. I can NEVER get Target coupons to print anymore. Not sure why, they just stopped and now it always wants me to download the coupon printer which I already have done and redone and reloaded Java but no go. So annoying! I could be saving so much more!

          • Dianne says:

Try using a different browser. Same thing happened to me with IE and now I use Chrome and no problems since.

          • JJ says:

Went to clean out my dorm about an hour away from home since I’m graduating Saturday… forgot all of my gift card coupons at home.. the storage unit was less than 2 minutes away from my cousin’s house and she had no problem with me coming by to print a couple of off hers. I was in the market for a sonicare brush (after picking up the 11/18 SS!) and spent SO much time fiddling around with her not-so-updated mac before it would print! Do you have a mac or pc, kiki? Maybe I can help out!

  • Hilda says:

Expires 12/15/12. I was able to use the last one on prescriptions, FYI. Not very exciting but necessary (especially with no insurance)!

  • naomi mcentire says:

can i buy an Xbox live card ,and still use this?:)

  • Sarah says:

awesome thanks. I used two last week and now can get another two. :) Love to get free money

  • Kimmy says:

Do you know if the $50 purchase is before any other Q’s, or is it a net $50 purchase required? Just trying to figure out exactly how much to spend to trigger the $10 gift card. Thanks!

    • Ger says:

Net $50 purchase…just make sure you hand over the $10 off $50 coupon first! Hth :)

    • Pam says:

When I did this deal last week, I had cashier scan the Target coupon first, then handed her all of my other coupons.

      • Samantha says:

I did the same thing. Total was $54 before coupons and $26 after coupons. Then I got the $10 gift card so it was really like I only spent $16.

The Target Red debit card is also an awesome way to save a little more money too – 5% off of every purchase, and you get free online shipping always. I like the debit option better than credit.

  • Jennifer says:

Yes! We do our grocery shopping at our Super Target… this works out great, needed to do a big grocery shopping this weekend anyways :) Thank you!

    • LisaR says:

I wonder if I can use this at Publix since Target is a Competitor???

      • jules says:

        Yes u can

        • Jennifer M says:

Wait … wait … this is a gas card week… So $50 worth of groceries. use 10 gc wyb 50 … then 10 off groceries wyb 50 gas … then all coupons for groceries … are you serious!! OMG, going to go get dog food out the yingyang! … I wonder if I can use 2 target 10 gc wyb 50 with the gas card 50 too … i’ll have to ask cs. Doubt it, but worth a try!

          • LisaR says:

whoohoo I’ll be using it then too!!! Publix never put out any Holiday $5/50 coupons either!! I was kinda dissapointed about that!!

  • Diana says:

Perfect! A target trip was at the top of my “to do” list anyway today :)

  • MommySpendsLess says:

Target has Barbie toys and games on sale Buy-One-Get-One-50%-Off this week. There is also a $10/$50 Barbie coupon available on Combining those two offers with this $10 gift card coupon seems like it would make for a great deal, as long as the sale applies to multiple items (i.e. if you buy 6 Barbie items, 3 of them are half off). You could buy two $35 Barbie items ($70 value) and after sale, coupon and GC your net cost would be just $32.50.

  • tracy says:

I had fun using this last week :) I gave my second coupon to another shopper and she was very surprised and grateful. I’ll probably do the same this week, use one and give one :)

  • LisaR says:

I gave the last one to my mom as she was going to Target that day!! She totally forgot to give them the coupon then I looked at her receipt and it was $49 36!! It was so hard NOT TO PULL MY HAIR OUT from frustration!! LOL
I will be using it this time!! heehee

    • Kidsallgone says:

My 2 grown (Kidsallgone) girls come over to visit and then start scavaging in my stockpile. In order to pick out anything, I make them sit with me and cut or organize or file, etc etc) my coupons. It’s so time consuming for me, not to mention the time it takes to make my list, gather my coupons, shop, and make my scenarios (usually in the store and always at CVS). I appreciate the help and they appreciate the freebies.

    • Laurie says:

This probably sounds grinchy, but I stopped trying to help most of my friends and family with coupon deals, b/c they’d say they wanted to know about deals but then when i’d tell them, they’d never follow thru or they’d just want me to do it for them and then give them the cheap/free goods. If they don’t want to learn or try to put forth the effort, I am not wasting my energy. It was too aggravating!

      • Tracy says:

Same here, I have a friend that is like teach me, but never follows thru with it. I gave up.

      • Samantha says:

I help my mom with couponing when I’m shopping with her or helping her make online purchases to get the best deal for her money – but other than that, I generally keep my deals to myself. Not because I’m trying to be selfish, but because every time I alert someone they do the same thing – not following through, or not really caring all that much. I agree, it is very frustrating to have friends and family ask you to let them know about the best deals, how to coupon, etc. and then find out they aren’t actually utilizing the information you’re giving them, especially when you’re going out of your way to do it.

    • irene says:

Some people’s brains just don’t work like ours. My mom’s the same way. I showed her a cat litter deal with a member card, store Q and MQ. I couldn’t do it again so I waited in the car while she tried it for herself. No go — either forgot one of the Qs or the card. It’s easier for me to do it then explain things over and over!

    • Susie says:

I know how you feel. I have been telling everyone about swag bucks for years now. Well they all decided to sign up, except rather than click on my email to sign up, nope they all just went and signed up. I’m l Ike, well uh, thanks people. I do all the looking and learning teach you how to do it and you can’t be bothered to use my referral, even my own mother! I am so done helping everyone. Last year I did all my mothers christmas shopping for her. She says to me, wow my yearly Xmas bill was half, thanks, but god forbid I use your referral, nope you aren’t get credit. Ugh! Real christmas spirit flowing here, lol.

      • LisaR says:

Yes I agree with all of the above!! I have been couponing NOW for about 5yrs and Everyone wants to know how I get such great deals BUT FEW want to do any of the leg work!! I even spent a few hrs compiling an Email to send to friends & family w/ all the How Too’s of Coupong and all the links to survey and coupon sites!! And Of couse H2S is My #1 site!! But they all complain how prices are going up and how much money they spend!! Anyway I have tried to do my best to pay it foward!! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

        • Dianne says:

I have decided that I can’t want it more than others do so if they make the effort to ask and commit something of their own like gas, then I will do what they are asking…but most people don’t want to do more than you do for themselves. I even had someone ask me for private lessons because they couldn’t make it to any of my classes I ran for free on a Sunday afternoon and Thursday night for for weeks straight 2.5 hours each time. I said, sure, :-)
$30 an hour, they just didn’t know why I would charge them. I’m 60 and it takes so much out of me and I just can’t want it more than they do (or not) for themselves. I look for the desire to learn but they also must have the desire to go themselves. PERIOD!

          • chrissybozz says:

i am right here with you all…i have handed people coupons in line at the supermarket (if i had extras) and they were decent $’s off total bill, and people look at me and say “no thanks”…..NO THANKS!!??? many people think i am doing something fraudulent because my deals seem too good to be true!! so now i keep my coupon to myself and my mouth shut!! (but secretly do the happy dance every time i check out!!!)

  • Emry says:

I want to buy my daughter a bike as her big gift, so can I use more than one q in the same transaction?

    • Shauna says:

Last time the coupon gave a $10 gift card for every $50 spent. You only needed one coupon.

      • Jenn says:

Does anyone know for sure if it’s doing that this time? Just want to check before trying it.

      • Nikki says:

I was wondering if that was so because I wanted to get the XBOX 360 250gb, it is too expensive @ $249.99. Was wondering if I would at least get $40 back. Trying to wait until Saturday just in case it goes back on sale for $199.99 like on black Friday. Going to add other things to get me a little over 250 just in case I need to make that price adjustment it doesn’t change the amt of the giftcards I got.

    • luvmoor says:

Can only use one per transaction : (

  • Sharon says:

Missed this last time, thanks for posting!!

  • Kristina says:

Diet Pepsi is on sale this week. I was HOPING this coupon would be available again. Thank you for helping me with my caffeine habit! ;-)

  • amy says:

yesss im going there saturday… does anyone know if the Enfagrow is buy 2 get a $10 giftcard as well?

  • Jeanette says:

My Target has the coupon at their registers so as soon as they see you reached $50 they scan it so you get a card. They even encourage people to split their transactions to make sure they get one for every $50 they spend :) how cool is that

    • Michelle L says:

Wow Jeanette!! Sounds like you have an awesome Target with great customer service! My Target is pretty good but I still run into checkers who are what I call “coupon nazis”!! They always look at you like you’re trying to scam them:o)

      • Margaret says:

My Target is a coupon nazi store. I have had several cashiers INSIST that they must scan each item and then the coupon. It takes FOREVER! I even had one lady cancel my transaction and start OVER when I handed her all of my coupons at the end of her scanning my items. Seriously frustrating…

    • Shauna says:

Last time you actually didn’t have to split the transactions! I know a couple of people who got $10 for every $50 spent using one coupon. One person bought a $200+ item & received $40 in Target cards.

    • Karen says:

I saw this happen to a man in front of me at the check out. He was buying 1 item (a huge bin organizer type thing). The total was $64.xx and the cashier told the man that they currently have a promotion going that since he spent over $50 he gets a $10 gift card. The man looked completely surprised. What was strange is that when it was my turn, I had over $50 in products and she didn’t volunteer the gift card (like she did for the man before me). I handed her my coupons, she put the $10/50 aside (I was taking care of my baby so I didn’t realized it till after). Then she had to redo my transaction to do the gift card. Maybe my stack of coupons confused her…. there were alot of them… lol. Anyway, made me wonder if I wasted ink printing them if they give it out without the coupon

  • Heather C. says:

Okay, I’ve got a ?… Say I’ve got $50 worth of merchandise and wanted to use a $10 gift card to pay for some. Will I still get the NEW $10 gift card or not because I’d only be paying $40 cash for my merchandise? I’m not a frequent Target shopper, so don’t know much about their promotions. I need to do some Christmas shopping for hubby tomorrow and want to get the best deals I can! :)

    • Kay says:

A gift card is a method of payment that is factored in after any coupons, so you will be totally fine. Just hand this coupon over first thing after everything is rung up.

      • Heather C. says:

        Awesome! Thanks, Kay!

        • squarejellybean says:

I had the same question but my cashier last time told me i wont get a new $10 card if i used the $10 target card in my hand. This is what i wanted to do, buy 1 starbucks gift card, the mio deal get $5 target card + other stuff. So I want to pay with (2 or 3)$10 target cards i got last time + the new coupon to get the new $10 target card, will i get the $10 targert card plus the $5 target card? Anyone tried this scenerio?

          • JoAnn says:

*IF* you ring up all your purchases, hand over the gift card coupon, use your other coupons then pay with your already existing gift cards, you should be able to do that just fine. I can’t see any problems. I would just do things one step at a time, to not overwhelm the cashier.

    • Margaret says:

You should be able to use existing gift cards to pay for you purchase. They are like cash…But you CANNOT use the giftcards that you just earned to pay. I like to pull them out and hand them to the cashier with all my coupons so that they do not think that I am trying to use a card I earned that transaction.

  • tara says:

I have always been able to print Target coupons with no problem but now everytime I try it says I need to install the coupon activator but after I do that they never print. ANy suggestions?

  • Jennifer G. says:

I wanted to do this deal yesterday but I missed out on printing the coupon. Ended up spending $60 there last night, and then this morning the coupon reset. What should I do? Could I return everything, then re-buy it using the gift card?

    • Shannon says:

You could go back and say you forgot a coupon at the service desk.

      • Kimberly says:

My target said as long as the computer will do it. Then they’ll take it. But generally you have to bring the coupon within 24hrs.

        • Jennifer G. says:

Thanks everyone! I will run back down and see what I can do. They are pretty nice at my Target!

          • Jennifer G. says:

I went last night to return and then use the coupon….the cashier grinned at me and said “You know how to do it girl!” I think I spent less than 2 minutes at guest service. Walked away with my gift card. YAY! (Then went and grabbed some B1G1 5o% off Disney stuff for my daughter). I also found a supervisor and complimented the cashier at customer service. They are so awesome!!!

      • Jennifer G. says:

Thanks. I’m thinking I might do this!

        • MommySpendsLess says:

I did exactly as Shannon described several months ago when they offered the gift card deal – as in your case it became available the morning after I’d just purchased a large amount from Target. The lady at customer service was very nice and had no problem adding the coupon to my receipt. I think she ended up just giving me $10 cash as it was easier with their system (which I thought was even better!)

  • Kat says:

:( I had a printer malfunction (twice!) and now it says I’ve reached my maximum print value. Any tips?

  • realfreshfoodforlife says:

Grr! I had a printer malfunction (Twice!) so now it is not allowing me to print. Any tips?

  • ginny says:

YAY! Thank you! We’re going to Disneyland next week. I used two of these coupons to buy Disney giftcards last week. Each transaction was only $50 in giftcards and I paid $40 even after each coupon. If anyone has wonderered, the $10 off $100 catalinas the Target registers have been spitting out can be used to do the same thing without any beeps or issues at all.

  • Su says:

Yay, I ‘ve been waiting for this to come back!

  • Tara says:

Thank you for the new coupon heads up Collin! Love this one!
Btw, I was able to purchase iTunes gift cards with this coupon last time although they weren’t the entirety of my purchase. For instance, my total purchase was (2) $15 itunes cards, the Mio $5 gc deal (stacked w/ (3) $1.50 mf cpns + 1 Target cpn) and then a toy gift that was discounted. My entire total was $51. I first gave this $50/10gc coupon, then the Mio coupons. I believe my total was around $45, then I was able to use previous Target promo gift cards (including a $10 one ‘rolling’ this same $50/$10gc!). My oop was something like $25, then I received back the Mio $5 gc and the $10 gc fr/ the coupon.
I write all this bc it shows I was able to use this coupon on iTunes gc’s, use manf cpns and previous Target gc’s to bring down my oop and still receive gc’s after the purchase even though I brought my oop well below the $50 required. Hope this coupon works the same way! I plan to use it again essentially the same way ~ I’ll let y’all know if it works!

  • Sandy says:

L’Oreal Preference is $8.99 and there is a $3 printable coupon available plus, buy 2 and get a $5 Target GC. You could also do the Glade deal. Buy 5 holiday votives and use 2 $1/2 Target coupons and 2 $2/2 Glade manufacturer’s coupons and again, you will get a $5 Target gift card. Buying these items alone will give you $30.48 towards the $50 needed to use the spend $50 get $10 Target gift card, and you will have $12 in coupons plus, you will get back $10 in Target gift cards.

  • Katherine S. says:

Thank you for posting about this going live again! I’m so excited to go buy my daughters formula now because I can get 10 bottles of Similac Sensitive RTF, get the $10 gift card and still be able to use my coupons and formula checks :)!

  • Maryann says:

Hi! Thanks! My question for all you knowledgeable folks is this. Can I use this coupon on a store deal that says if you buy something you already get a gift card? For example the Dr. Scholls buy two get a $5 gc. Would I get both if that were included in my $50 purchase? Thanks in advance.

    • Tara says:

Yes you can! Did this exact one. Don’t forget (2) of the $2 off manf printable cpn (just google ~ may be on Collin’s cpn database too) with the “for her” products too :)
Makes the small $5.49 ones look like this:
      2 Dr Scholls “Ball of Foot” @ 5.49= 10.98
      less (2) $2 mf FB cpn= $5.98
      less $5 gc= $0.98 for both :)

  • abby says:

I used the coupon on alcohol, even sweeter in select states like OH there are rebates on the Skinny Girl Margaritas!

  • helpingmomssave says:

I noticed the barcodes are the same on both prints does this mean you can pdf it to reprint?

  • Susie says:

Of course, just spent $223 last night, ugh!

    • MommySpendsLess says:

Print the coupon and take your receipt to customer service, letting them know you forgot to redeem it. They should have no problem applying it to your order. I’m guessing that since it’s a person reading the coupon and not a computer calculation that you’ll just get $10 for the whole purchase though, not $10 for each $50 spent as described above.

  • JoAnn says:

I have (1) $5 off $50 purchase, (1) $5 off $35 toy purchase, and (1) $5 of $25 frozen food purchase and now 2 of these. I have some figuring out to do! How fun!

  • Doug says:

Can I use the $10.00 off $50.00 coupon to buy a $25.00 I Tunes gift card and other items for a total purchase price of $50.00?

  • Tina says:

whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!! I am a happy camper right now. I just came back from target , i had $30 in target gift cards to start with from the last coupons and bought the I POD touch and used the $30 off then earned another $10 target card then used that gift card and bought $50 worth of dog food + mio deal, M & M deal (priced matched from family dollar $2 each) + a few other groceries = $36.82 minus $10 target card = $26.82 OOP then got back $5 target card from mio + $10 target card…..thanks so much for all the tips :)

  • Txmomx3 says:

My printer is out of ink. If anybody is able to email me the coupon until I can get more ink tomorrow I would appreciate it. TIA

    • Maureen says:

If your printer is out of ink how would someone emailing it to you help? I don’t even know how you would email it.

      • Txmomx3 says:

A previous post said she was able to use it on her phone. Instead of a gc the cashier took 10 off her total. I’m not sure how either. Was just crossing my fingers it would work. Nobody sent one so I guess not…

  • Stephanie says:

Target says that my coupon printed, but it didn’t. Now it won’t let me print it again. Any solution to this?
