It doesn’t look like vs is participating?!

    • Suzy says:

SHIP2DAY is the code for VS. You have to go directly to the site and get the promo code.

I think that you are right. Also they are out of the Fragrance sets that you get for free with the socks or PJ order. I even called they are no longer offering this. Also it looks like you have to spend $100 to get the free shipping. So don’t know how I am going to use my rewards cards on. I have been waiting for the free shipping day. So……

      • Destiny says:

I just ordered the sock and perfume deal. The code was on here 6 days ago. It’s FA1232569 It worked for me with no problem.

        • Destiny says:

Scratch that….it showed in my cart and when I checked out, but when I got my confirmation e-mail is didn’t show up. The CS lady I spoke with was not helpful and they did not want to fix their error. I am very disappointed.

Totally out of topic but I need some help. My brother has 3 kids and can’t afford Christmas gifts for any of them this year. I can’t either but I want to try to do what I can because no kid should have to wake up to nothing under the tree especially when they are all in the “I believe in Santa” age! My brother is a VERY proud guy who never accepts help! But I want to try to help him anyway because I just want to bless his life further by giving him a little help in this hard economic time…..any ideas from you awesome hip2savers on how I could get his kids a semi decent Christmas for really cheap and fast!?!?! Thanks :)

    • T says:

Oh and maybe a way to do it from home since I can not physically drive to go to any stores!

      • Nicole says:

Contact his area’s Toys for Tots. They can probably help a great deal—that’s what they’re there for, :)

        • T says:

In our area Toys for Tots stops giving toys the end of November :( Already looked into that but thank you for the response :)

          • Kristi says:

Have you tried to contact a local church? I know that my husband and I have been helping families for years through our church and we do whatever we can to help no matter how close to Christmas it is. We had a family call us one year on Christmas Eve for help! We loaded up our daughter and headed out to provide what we could for this family. It honestly was one of my favorite memories of Christmas because we did it as a family. Anyway, call around to some of the local churches and see if you can get some help that way. I know smaller churches have less “rules” than some of the bigger churches.
P.S. Not saying “rules” are not good, but what I mean mostly is a bigger church has to have more guidelines dues to the amount of poeple they help :)

Hope that you can find a way to help your brother and his family. I will be praying for you all!

            • T says:

Thank you for the response!! I live in a small town with 2 churches. One of them is my church and they used to do that but they are low on money and had to stop providing many services this year. The other church is bigger and only helps members of the church. :/ Thanks for the idea though!

Amazon has lots of toys marked down so you can find great deals under $5. Check playdoh, barbie, crayola and other brands the kids would like and sort by price. Ship free with prime or get $25 worth to ship for free. Also watch the target deal of the day which always ships free. Take advantage of tomorrows free shipping deals! Happy holidays!

        • T says:

I would not be able to go as high as $25 for the free shipping on Amazon but I will keep an eye out for the free shipping tomorrow!! Thank you!!! :)

          • April says:

            Where is your brother located?

          • kathy says:

Oriental traders has free shipping tomorrow on any order. They have inexpensive items the kids would like. Some come in bulk but others are sold separately…you just have to look. Follow Collins link above.

Dollar Tree and Target dollar sections have cute little knick knacks for $1. You could go to thrift stores and look for board games. Check out local yard sales, check your local craigslist for moving sales, etc. It is nice that you are thinking of them, it does not to be extravagant.

          • Cizzle says:

Have you signed up for Amazon Prime before? They always offer a free trial. Then you don’t need to meet the $25 minimum and everything ships in 2 days! You can also get a free trial for shoprunner so you get free shipping (lots of good toys r us deals on hip2save) + 2-day shipping so you will get everything in time for christmas. Good luck! Wish I could help more!

            • T says:

Thank you! You are helping plenty just by giving me ideas :) I have done the trial already so I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to do it again. Also done shoprunner already too. Any free trial Collin has posted I’ve done it! LOL!!!

What are their ages/girls or boys. I find fun things at Dollar General in our area for young kids maybe even some older. Last week all the toys with blue dots were 50% off not sure how long that lasted or about shipping charges.

    • These aren’t the same as Santa gifts, but there are some very cheap/free ideas. An empty box with a pack of stickers, markers or crayons, some paper and a glue stick will provide a ton of fun. Walmart has free shipping on everything, and so does Oriental Trading. My 6 year old daughter LOVES glue dots from Oriental Trading. Merry Christmas! http://families.naeyc.org/content/top-10-no-cost-toys-infants-toddlers-and-preschoolers

T – Where in Florida are you located? I’m in Orlando, Florida. I’ve been going through my 3.5yo daughter’s things in preparation of Christmas and have a few gender neutral toys that are really in like new condition that the 2yo little boy would probably enjoy. If you happen to be near where I live or work you’re welcome to them. learning2couponfl (at) gmail (dot) com

Not sure if he (or you) can get to a JcPenney, but the button promotion might help and many have mentioned toys in clearance there.
