Wrapp App: *HOT* FREE $5 ToysRUs Gift Card (In Store Only)

WooHoo! Here’s yet another Wrapp freebie! Wrapp, a social gift-giving service that allows you to give FREE and paid gift cards from top brands to your Facebook friends, is offering up completely FREE $5 ToysRUs gift card whenever you download their FREE app from the Android Market or iTunes store.
Just go here to get started. After connecting through Facebook, choose the friend (consider sending it to your hubby, roommate, or friend that will be willing to send you one back 
) that you want to send a gift card to (there are several others you can choose from if you haven’t already). The recipient will have 30 days to claim and redeem their FREE gift card.

I found it under events as well. I cannot use it because I do not have a smartphone, but I sent it to some people who have a smart phone. Hopefully they’ll be able to use it. I wish the good apps were not always just for smartphones.

i don’t know if anyone has already tried to use this…i did today and FAIL. would not scan, would not allow the cashier to enter by hand. TRU are really about to lose my business – over inflated prices and hassle over coupons and now this gc fiasco. i tried to use my coupons after price matching and the cashier just said rudely, well you can’t use these with a price match – so i checked their policy NOWHERE does it mention that in the price matching blurb. they are a joke.

Every time I leave toys r us, I say I’m never going back again. But since I also had the $5 gift card u figured I would pick up a free stocking stuffer. U has the same experience. It wouldn’t scan and the cashier was very confused. Let me know what Wrapp has to say.

So I used mine today. My husband had one too so we tried to use mine and his in one transaction to take off $10 (the cashier was fine with it) BUT it would only let us use ONE because the bar code numbers are all the same! So weird that Wrapp would send the exact same code to everyone! Weird!

that is weird. i wonder if it’s a technical issue? i have not heard back from wrapp yet besides the canned email response of “we are working on your issue.” sigh. as well as this i have a saveology $10 gc that cost $5, a 15% off one item and $5 off purchase of $25 and the paypal deal (which i don’t think will work in my area). it would be nice to combine some of them but now i’m thinking i should just price match the Lego set i want with Walmart and get the $10 off and call it a day.

wrapp tech support never emailed me back. i had one last try at another tru last night and still nada. i did get a generic email from them saying there would be another $5 tru gc on christmas eve? guess we should be on the lookout for that. i can always do with buying a Lego minifigure or small set as a stocking stuffer.
