Starbucks Stores: Buy Reusable Cup for Only $1 (Plus, Save 10¢ Every Time You Use It!)
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, January 7th, 2013 at 2:07 pm.

Calling all you Starbucks fans (that’s me!
)! In efforts to reduce cup waste and encourage more people to bring in their own reusable cups, you may be excited to know that Starbucks recently introduced the new, reusable (and recyclable) Starbucks cup for hot beverages at Starbucks stores nationwide.

Even sweeter, this cup is priced at only $1 AND you’ll receive a 10 cent discount each time you use it in stores… so it pays for itself in just ten uses! What a great & easy way to reduce waste – and you can’t beat the price!
(Thanks for the heads up, Sandy!)

heather says:
Nice mugs, dishwasher safe. Well worth it.
Christine Riggs says:
Just wanted to mention that they gave this discount to anyone bringing in their own mug in the past, so you still may be able to receive the discount without purchasing the cup.
Jennifer says:
This is true, I bring my own every time & get the discount. Does not have to be a Starbucks mug at all
Nicky says:
I got mine today at Safeway starbucks….Even better on my receipt I got a coupon for a $1.00 off just to take one of their easy surveys! Yay free cup and I get to save 10cents everytime I remember to take it to the store
SeeMomSave says:
Cute!
Julie says:
Is it ceramic or plastic? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!
Cindy says:
It’s plastic.
Leah says:
I think all of the Starbucks carry them because I got mine at the one in Target:)
Bob says:
Does anyone know the size of the cup, is this a tall or grande? Thanks in advance!
Michelle says:
Grande
Holly says:
It is a grande
Bob says:
Thank you so much!
Stefanie says:
It is a grande, but you can still order a tall with it (it has a line for where the tall would be
)
Lhmy says:
How many ounces is this cup? Thank you!
Michelle says:
16 fl oz
HTH!
Nikki says:
It’s also a big cost-saving measure for them. Nice idea but you can be certain a Co. their size is looking out for their bottom line.
Bob says:
Per the link it’s only available in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho. Looks like I have to wait a bit on this one. Nice idea though, hope others can get in on this.
Linda H says:
That link is from October. They are country wide now.
jessica says:
I got one in Delaware
Bob says:
Thank you so much! I will check my local Starbucks.
QL says:
Wondering also if it is BPA-free?
Adrienne B. says:
my thoughts exactly.
Megan says:
Almost nothing is manufactured with BPA anymore.
Michelle says:
Yes, BPA free!
Adrienne B. says:
ok, thank you! great to know
Andrea Rosen says:
Does anyone know if the smaller Starbucks in Meijer stores in the midwest carry these?
Stefanie says:
I haven’t checked meijer yet but I got mine at Target starbucks in the midwest at the end of last week.
Sarah says:
i am in Michigan and just saw it in our Meijer Starbuck’s yesterday.
Cindy says:
Sounds like a good deal, but I think I’d rather use a metal or ceramic cup instead just because I’ve heard about heated plastic being bad for you.
Misty says:
Does the cup count for the Frapps?
al says:
yep they told me i could use it with any drink i wanted. they seem sturdy enough and not to cheap looking. i enjoy mine here in muskegon mi
Mary M says:
I bought one yesterday in my local grocery store’s Starbucks, so I would think all the little Starbucks have them. It is a grande size for those that are asking. The top is a heavier, smoother plastic and has a bigger hole for the little air hole they have on all their cups. Because of that, and this is going to sound weird, I think the cup “drinks” better and makes for a smoother drinking experience.
Heather says:
On TV, Starbucks is suppose to clean the cup out for you before it is reused. Nice!
Michelle V. says:
So I heard these mugs only available in the Pacific NW for now?
Linda H says:
That link is old. As of Thursday it is nationwide.
Stefanie says:
When I bought mine they said it would be good for about 30 uses and then would begin to warp… just fyi
still a deal though
ricks48038 says:
pretty soon, they’ll have you bringing your own coffee from home to brew too…
Melissa says:
Re-using your coffee cup is a great first step, but what about re-using your water bottle to avoid clogging landfills with BPA? You can get a sleek water bottle customized with your own photos, text and charity you love at aquavation.org…the price is right, and the charity you choose gets 20% of proceeds!
Faith says:
Do u have to ask? I went and didn’t see the $1 cup anywhere?
Jennifer says:
Thanks Everyone!
al says:
we have them here in muskegon michingan i enjoy them. they are grande and can be used for any drink at starbucks. preaty sturdy and though they say that it can be used for thirty uses that is with putting hot coffeee in it and dishwashering it. i think if you hand washed it and like me got a frappe it would last even longer. it’s sturdy.
