USAA Members: Save 40% Off Hotel Stays
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at 7:10 am.

Update: This code is now valid only on hotel stays priced over $500.
(Thanks, Luzel and Brooke!)
Calling all you USAA Members! You can currently snag 40% off of a hotel stay when you book by Saturday, January 19th and use coupon code USAA1 at checkout! For example, if you are planning a trip to Disney World, I spotted a 4 star Radisson Resort Hotel priced at just $67 per night. So if you stay for 3 nights, your cost would be just $120.60 total – $40.20 per night after the discount! What a great way to save money on your next vacation!
To get this deal:
1. Go here and log into your USAA account.
2. Then, go here and choose your destination and travel dates.
(Be sure to select the Hotels option as the default is Cruises.)
3. Browse the hotels and choose the one where you want to stay.
4. At checkout, enter code USAA1. Then click “Get Discount” to see the discount come off.
That’s it!

So, where are you headed?!

Love Hip2Save and USAA!!! Just booked trip to visit the step-kids in NYC. We saved at least $50 over what we normally spend on a hotel, and upgraded from a Holiday Inn Express to a Hyatt Regency!!
heather says:
Can u signup and then book?
Karen says:
You must be a military member (or thier children) to have USAA insurance. Thank you for your service all you USAA members!
Heather says:
Thanks Karen!
Ashley57 says:
However, to be a USAA member you do not have to be involved in the military at all. You can have bank account, IRAs, etc. without military service. Only the insurance requires military service.
Karen says:
I learn something every day! Thanks Ashley57. I just looked it up and she is right, “Our (USAA’s) investment products, most checking and savings products, credit cards, life insurance, and shopping and discounts are available to other individuals.” So, it sounds like this is might be a discount available!
Love USAA. Great company.
Mela says:
Anyone can be a USAA member and I HIGHLY recommend it
Nikki says:
WOWOWOWOWOW! Just looking for spring vaca options-timing is sooo perf!

Same here, the timing could not be more perfect! Just been looking and weeping at some hotel prices, for my son’s next race weekend. I am now doing a happy dance for sure! Thanks so much Collin!
Lili says:
Too bad we are not USAA members! We are planing go to disney world next month to spend one week there, three adults and two kids. I am wondering anybody knows any good deals anywhere. Thanks a lot.
Rachael says:
It looks like anyone can be a USAA member and get the discount.
Lili says:
Really? That would be great! Thank you Rachael.
Terese says:
Just booked a beautiful night stay in Mission Valley at the Bahia Resort for my son and myself before he leaves in Boot Camp in the USMarine Corps. Plus, he graduated college early. So, a little thank you for him for doing an outstanding job and Congratulations on the Graduation….I hope he loves it. I am going to put it into a card and put on it Mommy Son Date.
Ashley57 says:
That sounds wonderful
Rachael says:
I seem to be having problems with the site. It keeps telling my that an error is occurred and to go back. I wonder if the site is being slammed?
Kate says:
Same here…:-(
Rachael says:
When is says your price next to the lists of rooms is this before or after the 40% discount?
Jennifer says:
Before
Jennifer says:
Awesome!!! Thanks a million! We had already booked and I was able to cancel and rebook and save over $100!!!!
Nikki says:
Very strange.
I left site after getting a quote and when I logged back in, the price went up $20. a nite. Same hotel.
Rachael says:
I am having such a hard time. Resorts and cruises I can find but when I search for a hotel it says an error
Jill says:
I am getting continuous error messages as well…
Rachael says:
I wonder if the 40% can be used on resorts as well?
luzel says:
now the minimum is $500
in order to get the 40%
Brooke says:
I called the 800 number and spoke with Emily who helped me resolve the issue.
Brenda says:
Could you book it over the phone with the discount?
Brooke says:
She would have booked for me with the discount, but could not find the same hotel, so she told me to book it and ask for a refund of the 40%. Assuming they can find your hotel, they should be able to do it over the phone.
Brooke says:
When I tried, I got the following message. “Promotional code only valid on orders over $500.00″
luzel says:
After 40 minutes on the phone with them, the rep told me there is a malfunction and they are trying to fix it. He will call me back.
B says:
I can not say THANK YOU enough for posting this deal. First, I have been procrastinating in creating a USAA account but this gave me the motivation I needed. Second, we are planning a trip to Orlando that was going to cost us $1260 for the hotel. This deal saved me $504. I have been checking daily for deals for this trip and am sooooo glad I didn’t miss this. Thank you again Colin. You made my week.
Rachael says:
I really hope this works. I booked a home for my family and my sister’s family to stay in near Disney in May. A five bedroom, three bath home came to under $500 for an entire week. We are so excited and hope there isn’t a “catch”.
Tori c says:
Where did you find a “house” on there. i only see hotels and cruises and resorts.
Angie says:
Went to book and it says offer good on bookings of $500 or more….
Brooke says:
try calling the 800 number, they have been having problems all day.
Jennifer says:
I booked a hotel by disneyland and got what I thought was a great deal. Turns out I could book the same thing for about the same price on tripadvisor.com or other similar sites. This place gives you 40% off a very inflated price I guess. Oh well, at least the reservation is done.
luzel says:
I called the 1800 number and spoke to Robert and he was very nice and understanding got me 2 nights in Flagstaff for this weekend for $100
Jen says:
I called the 800 number and they are not offering the discount now on under $500!
melissa says:
Now it says only on 750 or over. What is going on???
Rachel says:
I tried this the first day you posted it and it was giving a discount on any stay. NOW that I have figured out when I can go and where, it says it is only good for a $750.00 purchase. What the heck??? Does anyone have any answers on this issue?
B says:
Wow, thank God I didn’t wait to pull the trigger on this deal. Not only has my hotel price gone up $25/night but the deal is good on a minimum $750 purchase. I was thinking about booking a second vacation but it wouldn’t have been over $750. Still grateful for the one I got since that was the “big” one.
S says:
same here just tried to book….only available on purchases over $750!
B says:
Officially dead. Now it’s saying Promotional code usaa1 not found…..
Jen says:
When I called, the gal told me that this deal was much more popular than they anticipated so they weren’t giving anymore ‘breaks’ on anything under $500. Not such a great deal after all… Oh well.
