Happy Friday: “Hape” to Help
Sent from reader, Lisa:
When I saw this, I immediately thought of all my friends at Hip2Save and I had to share it with you.
When I came home from work today, I found a note my 8-year-old son left me on the counter. It reads “I finish the coupons. I am happy I can help. Austin” On top of the note, he placed all the coupons he cut out that I had printed the day before. I have never asked him to cut the coupons for me because I never thought he was aware of all my couponing (he has disabilities). It just melted my heart he was “hape to help”, and of course it is for something I just love to do….Couponing!!!
Thank you for letting me share this with you! I thought this was the sweetest thing ever.
HAPPY FRIDAY! ๐

That note made my day start with a happy tear and a big smile..
That was by FAR the best note I have ever seen. Treasure each moment and FRAME that note for him to be proud of forever!
So sweet! They are always watching us. Who we are and what we do always matters because kids notice.
Wow! How sweet is that. That will definitely be a keeper. Kids do what we do, not necessarily what we say. I love these rare moments where we know what we are doing is really making a difference!!!!
Loved that!
Awe! Omg, what a precious note.

I read this to my husband and we both cried….We raised a son with extreme learning disabilities, and it reminded us of those early years…..Hugs to Austin!
That is so super sweet! It just goes to show that people with disabilities are very much aware and are able to do some of the most amazing things!
You’re a wonderful mom. You’re doing a great job with Austin. ๐

Hi Everyone! Thank you all so much for all the kind words. I read your comments to Austin and he was so proud of himself. We printed the post and hung it up in his room. He feels like a million bucks! ๐
