After the Fall (regularly $13.99)

Craig DeMartino never thought this would happen to him. He was 100 feet up a cliff in Rocky Mountain National Park when—with one step—his 13 years of rock climbing experience and 15 pounds of gear plummeted with him to the ground. Expert climbers say that if you fall 10 feet you have a 10% chance of dying, a 20% chance at 20 feet, 30% at 30, and so on. Craig fell 100 feet. By basic calculation, Craig should not be alive today. But he is.

Be Hopeful: How to Make the Best of Times Out of Your Worst of Times (regularly $12.99)

Christians who possess this hope and live as though then possess it will learn godly submission, holy living, and harmony with other believers. These qualities will prepare them for what Peter pains in his epistle as inevitable—suffering and persecution. Though Peter is writing to warn a people who would soon be under the tyranny of a heathen Roman emperor, some level of suffering will always be part of the believers’ journey. A time is soon coming when living the “comfortable” Christian life will be far more costly than the life willing to give up all.

Circling the Waggins follows two middle aged women as they maneuver through one unexpected pet debacle after another in a rugged and isolated cabin in a National Park. They emerge from a dark and difficult time as they discover that even the tiniest of lives is precious; heartache and joy go hand-in-hand, and love is an eternal circle of wagging tails.

I look forward to these every day! The only bad thing about free books, is keeping up! I’m about 20 books behind on my kindle right now! 😉 That’s a good “problem” to have! Thanks so much!!

  3. Lisa B

Thank you, Collin! I have to say I am very grateful for your blog. I forwarded this list to my husband as we are going through some challenging times as his employment is situation is uncertain. He currently commutes 5 hours per day to go to work – and this has increasingly become difficult. I hope the “Be Hopeful” devotional helps us keep us the faith that he will find a job nearby.

    • Mahreen

Wow! That’s a long commute. Good luck to you guys.

    • Shirley

      HI Lynette,
Sorry to hear about your challenging times. God is good and has a plan in all this…even when we don;t see it at the time.
Just thought I would respond and see if your husband is open to other opportunities as we are going through a major expansion and are looking for leaders to train and lead others. Please feel free to email me at syeo@att.net and let me know what part of the country you are in and the best number number to reach you and we can talk and see if there is a mutual interest ! Have a great one

PS Another excellent book that we find very encouraging is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

Thank you very much for your support, Ladies! We are very fortunate and blessed – and I certainly should not complain. Our girls also have a five hour daily bus ride (2.5 hours each way) to school. (Due to city budget shortfalls, school bus routes are longer than they should be). The amazing thing is that, despite the commute, they do not complain; they love school, and are blossoming into thoughtful and kind young little ladies. 🙂
