As soon as I saw these skirts I immediately thought of the Duggar girls.

    • Tia

Really? I think lots of women wear long skirts, not just those who wear them for religious reasons.

    • Daisy

Really?? Oye…lots of people can rock the maxi for non religious reasons! Great deal!

Just got myself one. Sure wish I’d know how well I’d like these because I would love to have several if I know I’ll like them.

    • Tia

So cute! I’d like a few too if I wasn’t so lumpy!

  6. Betsy

My sister in law just got one from Target and loves it!

These skirts are made of 95% Rayon and 5% Spandex. Plus they are made here in the USA.

Most skirts found in major retail chains are of a polyester blend and 99% of the times are made in China or a foreign country.

    • I.am.sam.

Rayon will shrink, they definitly won’t wash well….I’d stay away actually and go for jersey knit maxi skirts. These definitly will show any lumps ๐Ÿ™

Well, if you think they remind you of the Duggar girls, I have an ironic story to tell you. Back in the 60’s/70’s era when the mini skirt was in fashion and skirts lengths went up for just about everyone, the “granny dress” also became popular. It was a full-length dress that usually had long covered sleeves as well. I am not sure if the style was influenced by “hippie chic” or the Beverly Hillbillies, but talk about looking modest and prim! Well, I wore one to school one day while in the sixth grade, as did quite a few other girls. We all got sent home for wearing “inappropriate” and “distracting” clothing. But here is the irony: While it was not permissible to wear a granny dress at my school, it was okay to wear a mini-skirt half-way up ones thighs.

    • Suzanne

Are you serious? That is so wrong! I think the long maxi dresses and skirts (i.e. modest) are much more beautiful than the skimpy things a lot of women like to wear. Personal opinion here.

I think these are cute and I’d wear one for a religious purpose and rock it!! Its beats the lady who wears slut wear to my church every week while everyone is making fun of her behind her back, kinda sad but she craves attention in a sort of sick way. No need to wear tube tops and spandex minis to church leaving it all to hang out when your too old to be wearing that stuff, but these skirts are definitely cute picked up 2 great deal!

    • mommy

I wonder if we know the same lady who dresses like a complete floozy? She wears the most inappropriate outfits to church, our leaders have even held “special lessions” gearing around the way she dresses, trying to drop hints, not sure why they just don’t come out and tell her to her face. She makes Brittney Spears look like a nun if that tells you anything. If a person desires to dress loose around town sobeit, but not at church when people who attend are trying to feel uplifted or who are seeking comfort. Try explaining it to children, its hard telling our little girls to dress modestly when they see adults dressing like they are going to ‘work’ rather than church. I happen to love maxi’s, they are classy and they make you look tall and slender.

I love their scarves!! I bought a bunch! Super cute!

  11. Kellyfornia

Darn!! I wanted the striped one in a small but they are sold out! ๐Ÿ™

The duggar comment was so inappropriate I feel. Kind of ironic that as the generations pass, the norm for clothing seems to be less and less. Keeping with the current trend, in a few years we won’t be able to differentiate animals from humans..nowadays women, despite being clothed, still remain naked. I think it’s time women respect themselves enough to be proud of her mind and let others see her for what she truly is…a person…as opposed to being viewed as an item. I’m so relieved to see maxi dresses around in the summer time, especially when paired with a cute cardigan top ๐Ÿ™‚

    • beth

Wow, does it matter what a woman wears? Shouldn’t we judge people on character instead of how they dress? You are actually doing what you want people to stop doing. People should wear what they want without having to feel like someone is looking down on them. There are places in the world which would call this skirt inappropriate and that a woman who wears it might as well be naked.

      • sofie

        Agreed Beth.

I got the slate one, very cute! And free shipping to Hawaii, that never happens! Thanks Colin!!!
