      YW!

  3. Savedbycoupons

I checked the price of the Venus razor earlier this week in my store and they were $6.99. It makes them free, but not a money maker. Still a good deal!

    • Diane

A lot of items at my store are about 50 cents higher than prices posted here. I guess it varies in different parts of the country.

      • llc

My Cvs prices vary by store as well. Stores located on the freeways are .24 cents more at least than the store in my neighborhood. Not sure if its a freeway thing or what.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Unfortunately, prices do vary by region 🙁 …

    • Deb

Here in the Atlanta are-$6.99 too. Two stores are already wiped out this morning. Getting a rainck. But I did get 2 more Kit Kat’s and for any of you wondering if you’ll get any flack using the Clairol $5/2 q-I’ve bought 8 bottles so far-they scan perfectly on the shampoo. No issues whatsoever! Your tax rate will be diff of course, but in one trans I bought 4, paid .60 cents oop after the q’s.

  4. Picchu

Thank you so so much for the early match-ups!!!

I look forward to your match ups each week. Keep up the good work!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww thanks! Glad to hear you’re enjoying them!

  7. theresa

Just wondering why the cvs 2.50 coupon can’t be combined with the manu. 1.00 coupon? I know it says it can’t be combined with another cvs coupon, but usually you can do one store and one manufacturer. Thanks for the help!!!

    • lee

already talked to my store a couple of days ago. they said you can use both. also they will let me use multiple pairs in one transaction even if it beeps they said they would manually put it in. I have a very good standing with my rite aid and cvs. I always do the surveys and always give them 5’s. they know this and treat me very well.

      • mel

mine will let you stack it with a manuf coupon, however they are pretty strict with the one coupon per customer wording and not allowed to override, so I’ll have to buy each bag in a separate transaction. No biggie since I have 2 scenarios planned.

  8. bunny

I can generally get the Ivory Soap at my Walmart for 97 cents so it would be a better deal there with the coupon.

  9. Kristen

Collin, there’s a $5/2 any clairol coupon coming tomorrow and herbal essences is clairol brand. It’s written on the very top of the bottle. Can we use that q on it and have a moneymaker with the “spend $30 get $10 ECB?” thanks!

      • Kristen

I never thought about them being clairol brand!

        • steph

          Got mine free tonight !

          • Kristen

            Did they scan alright?

            • steph

              No problem. No beeps

          • Nicky

            Did the coupon beep?

            • Nicky

Oops the computer beep when the coupon was scanned?

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks guys. I am choosing to remove the coupon from the scenario at this time as it does appear that the Clairol site now mentions only hair color products as being part of their line 🙁 Sorry for the confusion.

            • steph

I apologize I wasn’t trying to do anything not kosher.

      • Sue

The link is to a post from last year???

        • Sue

Nevermind I see why… But when I go to the Clairol site, I dont see anything about that family… it shows all hair dye stuff… So I am confused…

          • Kristen

Theres a $5/2 today, but she’s just showing herbal essence is clairol brand. It’s written at the very top of the bottle

            • mel

This was the reply when someone asked about using the coupon on the Herbal Essences line –

Clairol – Thanks for the additional info. This coupon is good on only Clairol hair color. Totally understand the question as Herbal Essences is Clairol, however Herbal Essences hair care products run their own coupons. With that said, it is ultimately up to the retailer if they will honor it the way you’d like to use it. My best advice is to give it a try. Hope that helps! Happy Weekend! ^Renee

              —-
now the response is contradictory bc she says its good only on the hair color, but ends with give it a try. :shrugs:

            • Sue

Seems that she is not sure.. But it is kind of obvious also they just came out with a Herbal Essence coupon in the paper, why would they release 2.. My opinion is this is misuse of the $5/2 coupon. Also when have we ever seen a $5/2 hair shampoo coupon other than maybe John Frieda or Pantene, but not herbal essence.. Just another reason why couponing is getting harder and hard.. (just my opinion)

              • Jeff Walker

It says $5/2 Clairol Products.. So Heberal Essances Has Clairol on it.. Whats the problem? Well PG also relased a BOGO and $/$ coupon at the same time..

            • mel

Agreed. and since the coupon is on a page advertising hair dyes and a few pages over there is a $1/2 coupon for the shampoo or conditioner, I don’t think the $5 coupon was meant to be used on Herbal Essences shampoo.

            • Carole

If the Clairol coupon was only meant for haircolor, why does it say not for trial size? Has anyone ever seen a trial size of haircolor?

    • KimNell

I did click on the link which took me to the Clariol webpage but no sign of Herbal Essences as stated. There is a link to P&G brands and that brings a host of additional products up but clearly its a tenuous connection and is not meant to be covered byt his coupon.

      • Sue

@Jeff- the problem is just because something says Clariol does not mean use that coupon on it.. The link that is posted she says that it shows that Clariol is Herbal Essence, there is nothing in that link that says that. Yes it might say it on the bottle, but again it is my opinion that it is intended for hair dye NOT Herbal Essence shampoo… The biggest problem is that retail stores will not get paid back for this, again causing couponers more hard times when couponing..

        • Jeff Walker

Again it says Clairol products, not just hair dye. If it was for the hair dye and ment ONLY for that, it should say that. So then is Herbal Esences a under Clairol or Clairol Under Herbal Essences?

          • Sue

Jeff – if you feel that it is ethical and ok to use the coupon the way that you say then by all means go ahead… I have seen it posted in other places responds from Clairol that the coupon is intended for hair dye.. Again this is my opinion and I will NOT be using it for Herbal Essences shampoo. I am not going to get into a arguing about it. When it comes down to it, I want to feel that I did the ethical thing when using this or any coupon, and for me it is NOT using the coupon on anything but Clairol Hair Dye.

            • Sue

Here is the responds that is on their Facebook page!!!

Clairol Thanks for the additional info. ^Renee

            • MissyLiz

IMO, using this coupon on the shampoo isn’t really much different than decoding barcodes. Its pretty obvious that the coupon is intended for hair dye, that’s Clariols answer as well. When they say go ahead and see if the store takes it, its basically them saying “see if the register puts it in as the same family of items and lets it go through.”

  10. Mitch

I am so ready with my Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Hersheys Cookies and Crème Cereal, and Kit Kat coupons to make a real score tomorrow

      Its not, unfortunately.

  13. Deb

My local store is totally wiped out of the Kit Kat pouches. Just stopped by to take a peek at their stock.

  14. Stephanie

I had a coupon on my cvs.com account that was good for $3 off any Kleenex hand towel purchase – makes them free this week!

    • Stephanie

If you print 2 $1 off MF coupons and pair them with the $3 coupon, two boxes for free 🙂

  15. Carol_R

    Thanks for the great match-ups.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re most welcome, Carol!

  16. Kelly

Since I now have decent stockpile for my needs I’ve started shopping only for free items or items under $1.00 if I don’t have it or I really like it. That said, it is not looking like a good shopping week for me.

    • paula

I am with you Kelly, I have an abundant stock pile even after donating a LARGE amount to the tornado victims in Oklahoma and have provided to my family also. With gas prices soaring I only get the free stuff or things we REALLY need since we live 15 minutes from town. This is a slow week, maybe a sign I need to take a break anyway, lol.

  17. Cindy

Love the sales, and the CVS here, takes expired coupons so it won’t matter if I miss the Kit Kat’s this week or not 🙂 Or any of it actually, but I’ll sure go out and see what i can find in the morning 😉

  18. Jeff Walker

    Thanks Collin!!

  19. Vishnu

Came back from a great trip. Kitkat 2.5 1mq made .5 mm, maybelline nail 50% off, 4/12$ cosmetic MM q made for a great deal. Got some revlon compact , almay lip and pouches of cvs pads too. Had 25c off gold emblem red bag Mm q, so 63cents for gummy bears.

  20. mauraflorida

Neither of my two CVS stores carries Vanilla Chex or Hershey’s Cookies & Cream cereals. They both carry Reese’s cereal.

  21. DanniLynn

Ugh! I hope there are actually items LEFT after all these crazy wait, scratch that, INSANE couponers. Yesterday, at the end of the week’s sale, I went to get some of the items from that AD and watched as some lady WIPED the shelves nearly clean. I usually wait until the end of the week so, all the nut-os are done scraping the floors for leftovers and are now holed up at home, clipping coupons for the next day. Even buying three of a promotional item is a little selfish (I mean, honestly, how much of a particular item do these jokers think the stores get in their stock?). I buy the personal care items to send to our military overseas and when I see these people hoard up on items (for themselves!) just UGH! makes me so sick. I was so glad when the manager said something to her as she was checking out (“You stockpiling up on those for a nuclear winter?”). The look of embarrassment on that woman’s face!
(//・_・//) I almost clicked my heels in joy!ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ Seriously, a rainbow and unicorn moment). When I called corporate, they said they attempt to stop those people from doing this by limiting the promotions on the ExtraCare cards, but people just get multiple cards. Again, NOT because they are doing something for others (and are able to legitimately PROVE IT with documentation), but because they are probably trying to earn a spot on the show “Hoarders”. This kind of “couponing” is NOT impressive, it just makes others lose faith in humanity and puts emphasis on the popular term “Greedy Americans.” (҂⌣̀_⌣́)

    • Jennifer

Wow – cynical much? How do you know she wasn’t sending her items overseas to to military family? How do you know that she wasn’t sending her “stockpile” to a shelter or helping multiple members of her family and friends? Judge not lest ye be judged. I am sick and tired of others looking down on me when I pull out my stack of coupons. Because of coupons, I am a blessing to others, I feel I’m doing what God wants me to do, helping others less fortunate than I. Just remember, rainchecks are a glorious thing. I would never delight in someone else’s embarrassment, it’s just gross.

    • Michele

Wow, you sound like a very angry person. Life is too short to get so worked up about minutia.

      • mel

That’s just rude. You don’t know squat about that persons family or situation. Maybe she waited until the end of the sale week bc she got paid Friday? I take care of my family first so if the limit is 3, you’re darn tootin I’m going to buy 3! I donate, but from my personal stockpike. I never shop with just the intention to donate bc money is tight for us. And I would never come to a blog and rant about a shelf clearer, bc like I said above, I don’t know their situation. Sales cycle around and raincks are my friend!

    • janelle

You don’t know what people do with the items they get. How would you? My mom lost her job due to a disability and I sent her three boxes of food and toiletries. She said it felt like Christmas. Also, I gave our neighbor who just had a baby and is short on money a bunch of baby food. She was so grateful. Most of the time, i am congratulated in the store for doing so well. I think you’re just jealous because you don’t know how to coupon. Get over yourself. Oh and I only have one store card.

      • steph

I’m absolutely speechless with this comment. Wish Collin would delete it!

    • steph

There are people who are selfish. There are people who are not. You can always get a raincheck. Not everyone that coupons is a hoarder. I only buy one newspaper a week and only have one CVS card. I am paying my way through a $40,000 a year school. I also have a brother that is on the mission field with 4 kids & a wife. This is not the place to come and bash people. I also donate to military families and the Red Cross. It is not your place to judge on whether or not someone buys two or three of an item. So not all of us are scissor wielding crazies. I don’t have time to scrape the floor for coupons. I am too busy with 2 jobs and full time school. Thanks for the laugh though!

    • Rebe

Wow DanniLynn, did you wake up on the “judgmental side of bed” this morning?

    • Racquel

There are more important things in this world to get angry over than someone else using coupons to stock up. Collin is one of my favorite sites and I get so disturbed when I read comments of fellow coupons fighting over something as insignificant as coupon usage. If someone chooses to do something that is there choice and has nothing to do with you. Just be grateful that we have Collin’s site for deals and guidance don’t complain so much be grateful you have health and strength in your body to go to these stores and do some shopping.

  22. savedbycoupons

Neither of the CVS stores close to me had the Venus razors that were $6.99. They only had the real expensive ones. They didn’t have them earlier in the week, but I thought they would get them in since it was part of their sale. 🙁

  23. Karen

I just came back from CVS this morning, the small puff tissue boxes (they are marked $1 coupon inside) had $1 coupons on them. If you pull back the tab to open the tissue box you’ll see it. They are on sale for 99 cents this week making them free if your store has those specially marked boxes. I grabbed (6) of them they have the aloe in them.

    • Deb

      SO COOL KAREN!
      Thanks for your clever tip!

  24. CW

Wondering if anyone had luck with the Kit Kats. I was the first person in my store and they had one. Went to another store at opening (first one in store) and they had yes, a whole 2 on the shelf. I guses the add included many types of candy but you would think CVS would inform their managers they had coupons on their own site for the Kit Kats. Uggh

    • Seth

Make sure you get a rain check cause those CVS coupons have a long expiration date. : )

    • Karen

I had no luck and checked three stores. I was checking the comments to see if anyone else had any luck. Going to get a rain check tomorrow or next day…I have like 12 CVS’s in my area but I sure don’t want to check them all!

  25. Deb

The ECB DID work on the small 4-pk Colgate toothpastes today. However, they were $3.19 at my store, so not free, but still cheap.

    • Crystal

It was $3.39 at my store. Still a good deal. I love having these handy when we go on a trip.

      • steph

Where did you find yours? Mine didn’t have them

        • khld

I got mine today too and it was $3.99 each and still good deal. Steph they are located by the rest of the colgate toothpaste.

        • Crystal

like khld said, its located right by the colgate toothpaste.

          • steph

At my store they are $3.49 each. Right next to the regular colgate toothpaste. Yes, these are great for traveling and for military donations. Plus you can do 2 transaction per card.

  26. barbie

the $5 off 2 Clariol coupon worked perfectly! No Beeps! I got styling products plus shampoo & conditioner!!

  27. steph

Didn’t get the $4/$20 Q at the machine. I’m in the Columbus, Ohio area. Must be regional because the workers at the store said they didn’t get it when they scanned their cards either. Oh well.

    • Jeff Walker

I didn’t either!!! I am calling in the AM!

      • mel

The $4/20 is a REGIONAL offer from the coupon machine and will only print if its YOUR local ad.

      • steph

        Who would you call ?

        • Jeff Walker

          extra care

    • Crystal

I was disappointed not to get it. I was hoping to get a better deal on diapers. Oh well. I still managed to get some awesome deals this morning at my CVS. The cashier couldn’t have been nicer 🙂 thanks so much for the awesome match ups Collin. You are the best.

    • Savedbycoupons

I got mine a few days ago by email. I first got the $2.50 coupon from the Beauty Club rewards and then that coupon came on Thursday (I think). I was able to get 4 Pantene products and 2 Oral-B dental floss for $.48, $1.53 total OOP due to tax. Plus I got a $5 ECB. Wanted the free razor, but I will check back Saturday to see if they got them in or if I need a raincheck. We usually get lower value coupons than other areas of the US, and I have no idea why. We don’t get Saving Star, nor are we allowed to double coupons here in the Tampa area, so it’s nice to be thrown a bone sometimes…:)

      • Jeff Walker

Ask if they will supstitute another venus razor for the one they don’t have.

  28. Lauren

The MCM printed a coupon for a free Biotrue or Renu Sensitive contact lens solution (up to $13.29) for me! I’m in Dallas, TX.

    • Cannielle

That is because you had bought 2, it is a B2G1 Promo.

  29. Sarah

I have a question on the cereal deal. How will I be able to stack two coupons per item if it states “one coupon per purchase of specified product(s)”? I am new to the couponing world. Thank you.

    • Cannielle

You can use 1 store Q and 1 MQ on 1 product, if you meaning S* offer, then you will get the credit in your s* account after qualifing purchase. Card registration prior purchase is required for proper crediting.

      • Sarah

Thank you! I had to re-read the offer to understand it. I read it too fast. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

  30. khld

Hello Collin. Thank you for all the match ups. I’ve done few the Kitkat, pantene and Johnson Johnson deal, buy three first aid items get $5.00 EB plus a free bag and when I got home I’ve opened the bag and it has a J.Johnson coupon booklets that has high value for Bandaid,Neosp.Bengay and more. Just thought you like to know .
    Thank you.

    • Coleen6000

I have been using those coupons, especially the $5/3 j&j products to get another free first aid kit. gotta love it!

  31. Andrew

Grabbed the Kit Kat coupon the other day and went to my local CVS to redeem.
4 bags on the shelf: long expiration days for all and I chose the bag that felt the heaviest thinking it had more of the product inside.

Opened it up this evening and to my surprise, it was one giant chunk of kit kat. I knew they wouldn’t individually wrap the mini kit kats but, this one chunk of kit kat. M&Ms never stick together but apparently kit kats do.

Gonna send the nice people of Hershey how I feel about this NEW crap product.

    • Delanda Jo

Mine was like that too. I’m thinking it has a lot to do with the EXTREME heatwave we’re experiencing.

      • jiya

mine was like the same too. No advantage of getting those mini’s….u end up eating lot more.:-)

  32. Vishnu

Khid, this coupon is awesome, u can redo the deal every week if it is on the ad and get 3 bandages packs( 2.99-3.49) and use the 5$ coupon and get 5eb. This makes for cheap and some times money making deal. The trick is to find the 2.99 bandages. I have more bandages than I can use LOL.

  33. Stephanie

My $2 off Softsoap coupon didn’t print from the kiosk. 🙁 Did anyone else have this issue?

    • mel

How many times did you scan your card? I always scan mine until it says no more coupons available, try again tomorrow. most of the time its 2 scans, but I’ve had a few times where I got coupons on 3 – 5 scans! For the softsoap, it did not print on my first scan, but on the 2nd.
Also, was it in your ad? Some offers are regional.

  34. Jose S

The Clairol coupon does work at CVS, saw someone use it without a problem and went back with my 4 coupons to get 8 free bottles of Herbal Essence shampoo.

    • mel

Just because it works, doesnt make it right. Clairol has stated the coupon is for hair color only on their fb page. Even several major blogs have removed the matchups.

  35. nicole

    • Sue

Just wondering how much the pantene coupon scanned for? Sometimes the bogo coupon scans at the max price which I think is $4.99, that would make for a good deal!

      • Seth

Mine scanned at $4.99 however it may just depend on your cashier. They do have the right to adjust the coupon down. Good luck! : )

  36. Laura

The Magic Machine printed a $1/2 Arm & Hammer detegent for me… combined it with the B1G1 and the $1 newspaper coupon

  37. BettePorterFan

I’m so BUMMED that there aren’t any CVS’s in Oregon. From the great deals I hear people getting at CVS, it just makes me so jealous. And, prices for most items tend to be higher here on the West Coast. However, still managing to find great deals and saving a bundle….just have to be a bit more diligent when coupons hit and sweet deals, too!

  38. Sarah

Huggies swim diapers count as summer items at my cvs!

  39. Mom3

Has anyone found the $5/3 coupon in the Johnson and Johnson bag? The booklet that was in mine didnt have this $5/3 coupon that I have read about on other blogs.
