This promotion has been getting worse and worse each year. About five years ago, they were giving away a nice flexible file holder, small flash drive, pens, paper, highlighters, and other items, as well as having some treats at the store and a presence from local businesses — in addition to a shopping discount. Last year, they had a very cheap reuseable bag and a few items, like pencils, that they had been selling for a penny earlier in the month. The free bag certainly doesn’t make it worth my while to stand in the incredibly long lines they usually have! This seems like how so many annual promotions are going… less and less value.

Agreed! It used to be amazing. Now, not so much. I guess the economy did it.
