coupon is already at its limit ๐Ÿ™

Which coupon are you finding that has reached its limit?

If you are into non-GMO keep in mind Lauras beef is grass fed but grain finished. Did not know this until my son started having a reaction (when we first started using Lauras years ago it was all grass fed).

I was just thinking the same thing, Christine. We only eat organic, grass fed now. Which means we’re lucky if we eat red meat once a month, lol! Pricey, but my family’s health is worth it. Another meat free (or chicken) meal won’t hurt us.

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you their grass fed and finished Australian ground beef (85/15) is $5 a pound. Not too bad and it tastes great!

      • Christine

Exactly! We really make our organic meat stretch. I would rather have a meal with organic veggies and non-gmo pasta (by the way we really enjoy Sam Mills pasta. It is non gmo & gluten free and about $1.90 at our Walmart). If we cut back on gluten free snacks our grocery bill is not that much more than what we were spending before:)

How do you manage to get so many points? Thanks for helping. I use shopkick but most of the times the stores don’t carry the items I need to scan ๐Ÿ™

Just a piece of advice…. this is MUCH too lean to make burgers with (unless you like yours to taste and feel like hockey pucks.)

    • Kristen

We make burgers with 93% lean beef and I think they taste good ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you add anything to yours like an egg or spices?

      • Daisy

Yes, they are well seasoned. I’m actually a very skilled and well trained cook. ๐Ÿ™‚ I just think 93% beef makes a dry dry burger, even when only cooked to medium.

        • Nee

We add a little bit of silken tofu to our lean burgers and they come out very moist. Maybe you can try it too ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Daisy

Thank you for the suggestion but most soy is GMO (as of 2007 91% of all US grown soy was GMO. I don’t have a newer stat but I think it’s safe to assume the number is even higher,) Adding it would defeat the purpose of being Paleo and buying grass fed quality beef. Plus, fat is not the enemy. ๐Ÿ™‚
