Woohoo! Thanks Collin! I almost bought these yesterday when I was there – glad I waited!
Off the topic but had anyone noticed that rite aid charges you tax on the full purchase. For example if you buy a ten dollar product but have ten dollars off with coupons, and the product is free, they still charge you tax on the ten dollars. None of my other stores do this. Does your rite aid do this?
If it is taxable merchandise then it gets taxed at the pre-coupon price. Rite-Aid does not have a say, it is the government and all your stores should be charging you. If the item is reg. priced at $10.99 but on sale for $8.99 with $3up reward, you would pay tax on the $8.99 price. If you had a raincheck written for $5.99 because they had subtracted the $3up reward, you would pay tax on $5.99. If it was not on sale you would pay tax on the $10.99 price. I live in Washington and we do not pay tax on food, but on everything else :p.
Melissa, it is possible that Rite Aid is following the law and the other stores aren’t. You can probably look up online the sales tax laws on your state’s website.
I am in WA, too. My husband is studying for the CPA exam and he explained it the same as you, Jaime.
Melissa depends on which state you live in..i live in CT which charges tax on the after coupon amount..very few states do that..so my taxes are always below 10 cents. But Jamie has correctly explained most of the nitty gritty.
None of our papers had the coupons in them 🙁 A lot of people have been complaining.
Hi Brenda….my paper didn’t have it either, but when I went to the store, it IS in the store ad you get by the entrance….try and see if its there at your Rite Aid 🙂
There have been many times when this has happened to me, too. Some deals Collin has advertised aren’t available in my region and I didn’t get any of the awesome Tressemme or Suave coupons last weekend. It’s just how couponing goes. I try to be grateful for the money I am able to save and not dwell on the missed deals. There will always be more deals.
Is there a way to work the benefiber $10/3 coupon in? I did the math and using the smaller $ off coupons seems to be cheaper but I’m not sure if I’m missing something here. Thanks!
When I go to the store, I am going to try to figure that out. I might have to get 3 anyway because I have gold and 2@$10.99 would ring up at $17.58. I will post back about what I do.
Just wondering how it went for you???
I don’t typically shop at Rite-Aid. Can you stack Rite-Aid coupons with mfr. coupons? Thanks!
Yep, you sure can! Collin wouldn’t post the scenario if we couldn’t!
Would the Revlon Coupon work on the .99 Nail files.
In my experience, the coupon will 99c Revlon nail files and give you overage if the cashier does not notice, so buy some other stuff to cover it. I bought a nail file today that was 1.97 with my gold discount and it took off $2 just fine.
Went to rite aid in west virginia (eastern panhandle mear md va and pa) today and there was no up rewards. I asked for refund and after some wrangling at the register they did it for me. Yea I think it’s regional. So check before u go.
I live in Northern NJ (NYC Metro area).
Benefiber prices are: 11.79, 15.49, and 22.99
With gold (20% discount): 9.43, 12.39, and 18.39
With silver (10% discount): 10.61, 13.94, and 20.69
There is a adperk video for $2 off $5 Revlon cosmetics or tools also.
Am I able to combine the ad perk Revlon deal and the 2$ Revlon deal together to make it 4$ off?
I believe it’s one store coupon and one mfr coupon per item(s) it applies to. So you would have to buy 3 items if you used both the Adperk (5 off 2) and FB (2 off 1) and get $7 off.
I tried using the coupons on the smaller benefiber and both man. coupon and rite aid coupon beeped. So I asked the cashier to try it on the bigger size and the rite aid coupon went through okay, but the man. coupon still beeped, so she just pushed it through. Still a money maker though 🙂 thank you, Collin!!
Thanks for the beeping heads up. I try to go to less-cranky cashiers if I know that’s going to happen to make my life easier.
Is the $2 revlon coupon gone? I only see $5 off 2 Revlon nail or lip items but I’m pretty sure nail refers polish and such (based on the photo) and not necessarily tools like clippers.
Since this is a regional deal would someone be so kind as to print the regions from the bottom edge of the circular? Please and THANK YOU!
