The last time Dollar General offered this, I didn’t receive the $2 off because I used coupons for the products included in the offer. I am hoping they have fixed the computer glitch that will allow coupons to be used to get the automatic savings. I’m trying it again!! :)

    • Ginger says:

You have to make sure they hit the total button BEFORE you give them your coupons. This takes off for the discount advertised in the paper and then you can use your coupons for further savings!! I had a huge issue with this problem the last time they had this deal and we figured this out and it worked

A better deal is their Mix & Match sale, buy 10 get $5 off at register. I bought the Carnation Evaporated milk $1 plus used 5 $0.55/2 coupons from SS 9/22/13

total was $2.30 for 10 evaporated milks

Says items under 2 dollars not included….so if I use a coupon and the total of the item drops below 2 dollars can’t get the deal

  • Pamela says:

Thanks Bud for pointing out what a great deal the Mix and Match is. Went today and bought 8 cans of Carnation Evap. milk, used 4 $0.55/2 coupons and got 2 5lb. bags of flour all for $4.80! Holiday baking, here I come.

Be sure to look for peelies for the Velveeta cheese. Peelies are $1.25/1, so buy 3 at $3.50 each = $10.50 – $2 automatic savings and minus 3 $1.25 peelies= $4.75 or $1.58 each!

    • Nicole S says:

Hey Ashley. Where did you see the peelies? At Dollar General? I have some 55 cent coupons which is still a great deal but $1.25 would be awesome.
