Gingerbread Play Dough Recipe Hip2Save

Looking for a fun way to keep the kids occupied during winter break? Make this homemade gingerbread play dough. You probably have most of the ingredients at home and it’s super easy and quick to make. We love this dough because it’s very soft, smooth, and smells so good. Plus, if you put it in a jar and attach a little gingerbread man cookie cutter with some ribbon, it could make a really festive last minute handmade gift!

In a medium saucepan stir together dry ingredients. Then mix in the water, oil and stir until it gets thick like batter. Cook the mixture over low/medium heat until a thick dough forms. Turn out onto parchment paper and knead until smooth. Makes about 2 cups of soft, fragrant, gingerbread dough.
