Just a reminder, Cartwheel is after all coupons and discounts, not before.

    • ian

It’s scanned after all coupons and discounts but it is applied before manufacture coupons and after target coupons.

    • melissa

Correct. that’s how the discount for cartwheel is calculated in the deals. Maybe it would be less confusing if the cartwheel % was consistently the last thing written in the matchup. Some deals it’s first and others it’s last. Most people know how it’s calculated but many don’t know to give the cartwheel barcode last and it locks the register if it’s the first thing scanned.

Thats how mine is done too. I bought an item that was $2.49 last week. I had a MFQ for $1.00 and a TQ for $.5o. My Cartwheel deducted off $.99 not the full amount. It has always done that on my receipts. I am looking all the way back to June 2013. ODD….

So I purchased Asbury Park Press, Herald, The Press, and Philadelphia Inquirer. I generally only purchase APP…until I noticed how much I’m missing out. APP doesn’t have the Campbell’s Skillet/ Slow Cooker Sauce coupons and a few others. 🙁 These are great deals.

I got the Bobble deal and am loving them. Thanks, Colin for the post

I was at Target yeaterday and was bothered by how little the cashiers and managers know about their own coupon policy. I had to check out four times and still had to go to the service desk. Then two older ladies who worked at the service desk had no idea what a mobile coupon was! I finally had success with a younger guy who undestood what a moble coupon was LOL. They really need to train employees better. I was shocked when I was told “maybe you should just leave it alone” – they owed me money back. And yes, I did the servey. I may not go back anytime soon.

However.. there is a good selection of toys 50-70% off at my store.

Agreed I had the manager of a store trekking me the wrong policy. I made him go read it And he was gone forever

When he got back he claimed the computer was down but decided I could have my money and when I tried to show him the policy on the phone hee refused to look and left! So I know he read the policy And was refusing to admit he was wrong and had told all the employees the wrong thing

    • Jennifer

Yeah is it me or is it getting worse? Forget trying to price match at Walmart or Target, its just not worth it (last time I tried at Target they cancelled my order & made me to go the customer service to check out so a manager could do the price match?! And then he didn’t want to do it because I didn’t have the paper ad with me, just on my phone. After going around in circles he finally did it, but never again…)

And I had one cashier at Target say “oh i don’t do electronic coupons” and I told her it was Target’s coupon application (Cartwheel) and she still wouldn’t even try to scan it. So I told her to get a manager and ask (I felt I was going to save enough $ that I was wiling to wait) and finally got the guy to come over and tell her to scan the app while both of them grumbled about me holding things up. Nothing like people trying to make you feel like you’re doing something underhanded/wrong over something that shouldn’t be that big a deal…

Target does not PM at the register, you have to go to CS. My target has an ipad at the CS desk, so if you don’t have the paper ad, they can look the ad up online. They will not pm your cell phone (too easy for people to make screen shots and pass them off, is what i was told)

AFA their grumbling comment, I would have bust out “You’re the one holding things up by not knowing your own store promotions & policy”

      • Andria

My target only price matches at the guest service desk. I go straight there to save the headache of ringing up a transaction to be cancelled. They ring up the other items as well without issue.

        • yellowfan

I made a purchase at TARGET and 3 weeks later the price went down 20% that’s $10 down . That’s a big deal to me. I called and asked for their price adjust policy. I was told I can only do it within 2 weeks. REALLY???? Anyway , I brought another one straight to the CS desk and return it with my old receipt. I learned this is the easy way to do it.
Another time I brought 2 bags candy and tried to use 2 MFQ, the cashier carefully check the coupons (I think she wanted to show me she can read) and told me that I can only use one MFQ at a time. I knew she’s wrong but did not argue with her just told her please do it with separate transactions. Why waste my time to argue!!

          • anna marie

You go girl!!! There always another way to skin a cat!

      • Jennifer

Well that was the first time I’d been sent to CS, prior to that they’d always done it at the register, so not sure what’s up with that. But I’ve decided I’d just rather stop at whatever store the item is on sale at and pick it up (I know that wouldn’t work for a lot of folks, I’m fortunate enough that I drive by all the major stores on my way to/from work so its not out of the way, though it makes for extra stops…)

  5. Hollie

My local target in eastern wa doesn’t carry Bobble bottles, alas:)!

    • Ashley

Hollie I was told the same thing at my eastern MA Target, but while scanning the store it occurred to me to check the section where they have the Brita systems (usually around the coffeemaker/small appliance section) and there it was waiting for me to coupon! Hope this helps! I got one around xmas time for my sister’s (college student) stocking and she LOVES it! I recommend getting the water bottle and filters so you’re set for a few months! I’m going back to get her extra cartridges for the rest of the year! Don’t know when this deal will come again…if ever! Happy Couponing!

I found blinkie coupons at City Market $1/2 Old El Paso Taco or Tostada shells or Refried Beans. The Refried Beans are on sale $1.15 X 10 = 11.50 – (5) $1/2 coupons = 6.50 OOP but a $5 Target gift card is earned for buying 10! That’s about .15 a can after the gift card. I’m on my way there now for profitable Windex and cheap refrieds. I LOVE TARGET!!!
