Collin. Ergo deal is even better if you do this.
120$-20% coupon (print off target website)
    Add 4$ of baby stuff (I personally bought 2 lotions $1.49×2 and a pack of wipes$1.69) = $100.67
    -20$/100$ target baby purchase =80.67
    -2$/2 baby toiletry target coupon = 78.67$!!!
    🙂
I did this deal yesterday! Thanks for all that you do!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks Marissa! 🙂

      • Cassandane

I tried to use the $20 off $100 Target coupon and the $20 WYB$100 GC offer yesterday but was told I it was not allowed. Have most people had success using both? I’m tempted to go back and get it adjusted (and maybe get an Ergo!!). Any tips? Thanks so much!

        • Marissa

What do you mean used both? The 20$ gift card for the ergo automatically is prompted you don’t need anything printed out to hand them. I used the 20% off printable and the 20$/100$ printable available on their website with no problems. You just have to make sure that your total is over 100$ AFTER the 20% off coupon is used. (That’s why I bought some lotion and wipes) 🙂

    • Nana

How did you use (2) Target coupons?

      • Marissa

One is for 20% off ONE baby item and the other one is 20$/100$ of baby items ( I had 4 baby items total in my purchase) and it’s my understand that threshold coupons like 5$/25$ are different.
Yesterday i used a 20% off baby item and a 5$/25$ in the same transaction with no other items at customer service and they said that was fine because one is for one items and the other is for a dollar amount
        Hope that helps.

  2. Marissa

Oh and you still get back the 20$ gift card so basically 58$ AAAND if you have target card 5% off on top of that! 🙂

    • Mary

How did you use the 20% mobile coupon with the $20/$100 coupon?

      • Monica

It is a printable 20% off target coupon😄

      • Marissa

Yup. Both are printable. 20% off 1 baby item and 20$/100$ baby. I bought some lotion and wipes to make my total over 100$ after the 20% off coupon was used on the ergo. 🙂 hope that helps!

  3. Craig

LOL, love your videos Collin! Its funny, I was JUST @ my local Target getting the dirt cheap Post HBO’s cereal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay! Glad you scored some awesome deals too!

      • ophelia nichols

im actually going to do this on lunch break tomorrow! BUT I have to say I just found you last week Collin and I am so grateful for your website & the app and everything that you do to be able to put these helpful things on here! Its amazing to me. I am a working mommy of 4 children and a wife so saving every little bit will help. Again thank you kindly for ALL OF THIS! You have no idea. 🙂

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! Your comment sure means a lot to me! Thank YOU! 🙂

And out of curiosity, how did you come upon the site last week?

          • Suzyq

I love the app too, it’s my new favorite and I can check things while out and about on my phone!

  4. Amy

can we use target mobile coupon and target logo printed coupon together. pls im confused .. TIA

    • Nik

No because they are both **store** coupons.

At target, we are allowed to stack per item:

      (1) Manufacturer coupon
      (1) Target coupon (whether it be mobile, printable, insert, peelie, etc.)
      (1) Cartwheel savings

      • ophelia nichols

Nik I am just learning all of this coupon savings and I am a newbie. May I ask exactly how do I get or what exactly is the “Cartwheel Savings”?

        • dealhousewife

Cartwheel is a separate savings site/app. sign up here: https://cartwheel.target.com/ via facebook or email. then u can download it on your smartphone too! (or print out the barcode from your computer for scanning) HTH!

    • emily

Amy, for the Argo deal, yes you can. If you are trying to use the mobile 20/100 coupon paired with the printed 20% off coupon for the Argo item, then yes. You just can’t use target coupons on the same item. Threshold coupons are different, because as long as you use that coupon first, you are able to use the other item-specific Target coupons.

  5. Ryg

Your videos are always so motivating! You are the main reason I felt empowered and comfortable going to major stores (ie Target) and couponing with a huge binder, diaper bag/purse, and two small children. Keep doing this, you really do inspire so many people 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awe… thanks for the comment. I sure appreciate it!

  6. Chad

I am confused on the capri sun deal. you get something free, do you get it free at register or do you have to pick it up yourself?

    • Amy

Get it off the shelf and take it to the register with the rest of your items.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, that’s correct. The free item will be next to the juice boxes and you’ll just take it with you to checkout. It will automatically come off your total when you purchase the participating items.

  7. crystal@Atlanta

Hello Collin, this may be a weird question, but how Do i use both the cartwheel coupons and the mobile text coupon such as “spring” at check out? thanks

    • crystal@Atlanta

edit I am using my iphone at check out…

      • Casey

You just have to go from one to the other and pray for a patient cashier 🙂 I use the Cartwheel app and then I open the URL from the texts.

        • dealhousewife

I’ve found an easier way to do this! dl the Target mobile app (bullseye) & it houses all your mobile coupons & cartwheel (& the weekly ad, etc) in one place!! So. Much. Easier. 🙂

          • Casey

Awesome tip! I just downloaded it and hope it makes my cartwheel go smoother!

      • Tara

When you check out first pull up the text coupons, there is a barcode at the top that they scan, then the cartwheel. The cartwheel is always last. Hth 😉

    • Samantha

I take a screen shot of the bar code, and then if theres also a text coupon I take a screen shot of that… then just pull up your pics at check out. did this today and worked just fine with the $5 off $15 hair care and the dial cartwheel 🙂

    • cmh179

I store my Catwheel barcode and the Target Mobile coupons in the Passbook app on my iPhone. It’s all in one place and I just swipe through each mobile coupons (the cashier scans each barcode), then scroll down in Passbook to the Cartwheel barcode. It’s easier for me to keep it together and not frustrate the cashier. HTH!

      • crystal@Atlanta

Great !!!Thank you all so much Hip2savers!!!! xoxo Crystal

        • Mel

You can also download the Target APP. It will store all text coupons in one spot, (from the main menu on the app, click Deals & Coupons, then Mobile) so its a lot easier to scroll through than pulling up bookmarks if cell reception is wonky! For cartwheel, check to see if your phone has widgets, if so, scroll through and find the one for carthwheel, then add it to one of your phone pages. I love that I can just have the cashier scan the bar code widget, one less thing to open up in line!

    • Kayla

Does anyone know how to get mobile coupons from Target without having carrier text service on your IPhone? I have a free app for texting with a dedicated phone number that my friends use to text me. I tried to download the Target app and set up coupons, it needs the phone number to text a pass code to, I entered my texting phone number but can’t receive the text for some reason. If anyone else knows how to get through the setup in the app for coupons please let me know!

    • elise

You can print your cartwheel barcode (at least on a pc) and use it over and over.

      • EJ

That’s what I do as well. I laminated it and keep it with my credit cards. I also gave one to my husband to use if he’s shopping without me.

        • DianeNC

That’s a great idea, EJ! I don’t have a smartphone, so am constantly having to print out the page with my deals and the barcode, but since the barcode never changes, your idea makes total sense.

A quick FYI for anyone else who doesn’t have a smartphone – if the phone you do have can receive text messages, you can still subscribe to Target’s mobile coupons as well. When you receive them, just enter the URL/website address they send you on your computer and print the page out with the barcode. The cashier then just needs to scan the barcode.

    • emily

I like the screenshot options: mobile/shopkick coupons, then cartwheel, and then maybe a shopkick gift card.

  8. Diana

Off topic, but I rcvd my email from bath and body works for the free hand soap! Yay 🙂 Ck ur email folks
    ☀️

    • rosana

Yay! Hope I get mine too.

    • reina

I got mine too 🙂 Thanks Diana for the reminder!:)

  9. Emma

Love the target videos ! Keep ’em coming !!enjoy the Target videos the most ..Can u do a weekly one ?!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear you enjoy these videos… stay tuned for many more! 🙂

  10. Casey

I have a terrible time with Cartwheel app use. Every time I do it the register freezes. Anyone else have this issue?

    • kk

i find that it’s so sloooow in the store, so i print out my cartwheel & hand them the paper to scan. then the only thing off my phone is the mobile coupons.

–>-now my genius 13yo daughter just suggested, as we are sitting here after watching collin’s target video, that we should SCREEN SHOT the carwheel and target mobile coupons, then all you have to do is open the photo gallery & then slide from pix to pix. hmmmm, could work……………………..heading to target in a bit & will report back. fingers crossed 🙂

      • Cinthia

Thats what i always do for mobile coupons and cartwheel. It works!

        • S

Or if you have an iPhone add the barcode to ur passbook. So they are all in one place.

          • cmh179

I use passbook as well, works like a charm!

      • Ashley

That’s what I always do because my service and targets wifi has minds of their ow

    • rosana

      No not here. 🙂

    • RT

You have to use the cartwheel last. I have never had an issue with it.

      • steph

Yes, cartwheel has to be used last. The cashier should know about this. If it is done correctly by he/she, it is a smooth transaction. Wish cartwheel transactions didn’t have to be separated though. They need to fix that.

        • Diana

          What do u mean separated?

          • steph

The cashier has to ring each cartwheel item up separately. They can’t ring them in the same transaction together with one another.

            • Mel

says who? Cartwheel comes off each item you have added, no need for separate transactions.

            • Diana

i have NEVER had to separate my cartwheel items. Your discount is shown on your receipt.

          • Ashley

That’s just silly…. Unless you were only using the daily 50% items which is one use I have no idea why they had you do that.

        • Sara

I have never used cartwheel…what do you mean the transactions have to be seperated?

          • RT

I never do a separate transaction for cartwheel. I have an android phone and there is a widget, so the barcode just sits on one of my homescreens and I don’t have to open the app to use it. I think that may be the slowest part – opening the app. So I have the mobile coupon URL open and after then scan it I hit the home button and the cartwheel barcode is there. I feel like the Screen Shot idea is pretty good, but then you can use the same coupon over and over again and the mobile coupons are supposed to be one time use.

            • kk

i have found that when the mobile coupons are used, it indicates it on that grouping of coupons; there for eliminating them being able to be used multiple times. i’ll see how it goes w/ the screen shot.
what widget are you using to ‘hold’ the bar code? that would be another option for us all to use to make things faster instead of waiting for things to open.

i too agree, never have had a problem w/ cartwheel or done separate transactions…the beauty of stacking 🙂

            • emily

Those of us that use the screenshot option know that these coupons are one-time use. We just use a photo for quick access. The barcode scanned from a pic still changes the status from the actual coupon. After I use it, it let me know that it has been redeemed.

        • Vickie

I always gave cartwheel last and no problems but last Friday I was in Target and the cashier asked for the cartwheel first. I asked wouldn’t that mess everything up since I also have mobile and paper coupons to which he told me their register system was updated the night before and he was curious if it would work now and it did with no problems.

          • Brianna

I know that certain stores have now updated their registers so thy can scan cartwheel at anytime but others have not.

    • Casey

Thanks for the replies! The cashier told me it was my phone and I needed to reinstall the app. I said “what if I print it out from my computer, would that help? and she says NO. haha oh man they kill me over there. I don’t like printing out, because I sometimes add to it while I shop. Oh well. I may give it up. By the way they usually tell me to do Cartwheel first, but last time it froze we had done it last. The whole thing is a mess.

      • Lani

If you do decide to print you don’t need to print a new one every time. The code they scan stays the same. So you can add/subtract while you shop with no worries. I’ve done it many times that way. I used to print it out every time when it first started and noticed that it was always the same.

      • RT

The widget was just there after I downloaded the app. I have a samsung phone and when I go to all my apps, it shows two tabs at the top – one for apps and one for widgets. Then I can drag the widgets to my home screen. Widgets are like apps, but you don’t have to open them. Like your clock – you don’t have to open anything, its just there. So I have a widget that shows the cartwheel barcode and I don’t have to wait for the app to load.

      • Mel

Your personal cartwheel acct has only one barcode that is uniquely yours and doesn’t change even when you add or remove items. I keep a printout of my barcode in my wallet, so I always have it on me!

        • Casey

Awesome, thanks! I am going to test out the Target app one last time before going back to my paper bar code. 🙂

  11. Megan

I like Target, but I hate using coupons there. I just find it so frustrating juggling between Target coupons, Target mobile coupons, Cartwheel, and manufacturer coupons. I think they could come up with a more streamlined way to pass the savings on to the customer.

    • Maggie

      I agree.

    • crystal

I like that there are many ways to save at target by my target is so unfriendly to couponers.
last week a cashier told me I can only use 1 coupon per transaction. Seriously? I politely told her that’s not true. she said it was a new policy. She wouldn’t take any of my other coupons. I just gave her some of my items Back..the items I didn’t have a coupon for I just paid for.

I wasn’t in a hurry and if I didn’t have my small children with me I would have called corporate right in the store.

      • crystal

        If I wasn’t in a hurry

        • Theresa

It bothers me that they can be so rude. Every time they are rude to me I just smile bigger and crack a joke about how much money I’m saving or how I’m not taking the money out of their pocket. They usually lighten up, and if they don’t, that’s their problem. I would report that cashier though, blatantly lying about store policy because she doesn’t want to scan your coupons is just wrong.

      • Faith Banks

any time I coupon I take the policy with me just in case I have to show and prove lol. target policy allows you to use one manufacture coupon per item but only 4 like coupons. For example if I am buying 4 pints of ice-cream, I can give her four 2.00 off a pint of ice-cream coupon, However if I need to buy 5 to get a gift card I still can only use 4 alike coupons but if you happen to have a ice-cream coupon for a different amount lets say 1.00 off a pint of ice-cream. You can totally use all 5 and get a gift card. Also I find it helpful to get to know the managers at target and any other store I coupon at. I let them know that I coupon so if I ever have problems with rude cashiers I request for the manager by name. Hope this helps. Good luck

    • RT

And the gift card offers – yes, their marketing department is very creative 🙂 I don’t like that either. But I still shop at target. At least they have nice carts 🙂 I do my main shopping at the military commissary.

    • Mosley Mom

YES! I have emailed them MULTIPLE times suggesting that for us REDcard holders all of our cartwheel, mobile coupons, and target store coupons should be attached to the card. You should be able to load and unload at home or whatever and then when you swipe the card all of the discounts should come off.
They always respond that they are trying to make things easier for their guests. I’ll just keep on emailing and writing.

    • amanda

Print out all the man and target coupons and print out cartwheel so you just need mobile coupons. Thats what I do

  12. Gina

    Holler Holler! Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😀

  13. Staci

Weird question. Can i use my htc one phone to print coupons to a wireless printer ?

  14. Misty

    Hello ladies,
I was going through the comments and found that a lot of ladies are confused about using mobile coupons and cartwheel together. I was confused too. Now a days, what I do is just take a screenshot of coupons (just before going for checkout ot to the store itself) on my iphone so that it goes to my photo album. At checkout all Ido is just swipe one coupon to another as if I am going through my photos. It works fine and all the coupons scan fine.
I was earlier using the passbook, but it was confusing for me as I save all my coupons there. Selecting the coupons from passbook and taking the snapshot of only the coupons I am going to use at the moment saves me a lot of time.

  15. Mary Jo

I have a question on the smart ones? I have a $5.00 of twelve coupon from my friend who is on weight watchers. She got it at her meeting and gave it to me. Would this coupon work for this Target deal? Thank you!!!

  16. Tessie

My phone is so slow to pull up mobile coupons and cartwheels at checkout….. So, I now take a snap shot photo of them before I leave the house (where I do have reliable internet) No more waiting at checkout for them to come up or not on my phone. Just show them your photos in order… Mobile, then cartwheel to scan.

    • Karen

That’s a good idea. Mine is so slow at the check out too and the target guest wifi never works. Wouldn’t this not count towards using the coupon though and allow you to use it multiple times.?

      • Mel

It would still scan the barcode and record that you used the coupon. I do the screenshot and use it at checkout, then when I check the coupon through the link later on, it shows that it’s been used.

      • emily

Target’s barcode’s use the internet; therefore, even if it’s a pic, it still changes the coupon status, and cartwheel offers are present at time of checkout.

    • Alison

If you remember, try to connect to Target’s free wifi as you enter the store. I always do this so that I get kicks from Shopkick and so that I don’t have any problems using cartwheel. Maybe some stores don’t have free wifi, but I think many do.

  17. Karen

Love the video. I was totally unaware of the b1g1free at Target. Going tomorrow to grab me some! BTW how much coffee did you have before the video?? Seems like you were talking super fast, lol!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOL! I am just a fast talker regardless of coffee – I need to work on taking breaths in between sentences! 😉

      • Lee

        Me too, LOL!

  18. Diana

I always take screenshots of all mobile coupons, cartwheel, and shopkick giftcards- it is soooo much easier this way. And cartwheel really annoys me sometimes because it wants me to log in all over again using facebook and ihave to enter all my info- so annoying when i just want easy access. Screenshots is the way to go 🙂

  19. dealhousewife

    Collin,
i’m curious how you/your store handles overage with coupons? like, with the cat food. also, i remember the nivea $5/2 coupon/scenario you posted a few days ago. if my store cashiers just scan the coupon, it goes through without issue and i get overage. but sometimes the cashier “realizes” that the coupon is more than the price and 1) refuses to accept the coupon (sigh) or 2) just adjusts it down so i get the item for free. I love the overage, but am fine with free – but it’s frustrating when they just don’t want to take it.
although, today was funny, she scanned the coupon for the Iams, no prob (gave me the overage!), but then said she couldn’t take the $5/2 nivea coupons, & couldn’t/wouldn’t even adjust it down. (though i’m thinking maybe she already knew about the nivea Q then and not the iams…and that’s why?) oh target, i love/hate u! 🙂

  20. Monica

They have scooby doo in ad with figure and dvd for 12.99 does anyone know if walmart will price match?? TArgets an hr away and i have a walmart like 15 minuntes.

  21. Catie

There is a cartwheel for the cat food–5% I believe

I love your videos. I’m always looking for what you will post next. My boys (7 & 11) even like watching. They like the candy deals.

I love target. I rarely have issues there but I do a lot of my prep work at home. I make sure I have a target coupon and manufacturers coupon if possible. Cartwheel works great for me. It is slow in the store but I’m not in any hurry. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

It does take a lot of prep and I don’t mind that. I do, however mind when the manager tells me to unload everything they’ve scanned and bagged because the cartwheel app froze their register. I had to check out 2 times and everything was thrown off. I would have rather waited the 5 minutes for the register to come back to life. The first time it happened I got $3 off courtesy coupons and apologies. The 2nd time I was told to go to another line and uninstall my app. I love Target, but they are so up and down I never know what attitude I will get there.

Did you scan coupons after the cartwheel? The % off the cartwheel offers will come off correctly as posted in this site even if you scan it last. The only reason to scan it at the end is because it will freeze the registers.

Looooooooove the videos, keep ’em coming!

There’s a 5% cartwheel on the Iams cat food.
Also noticed there’s a 10% off “The One Spot” items.

Question if I 2 PRINTABLE coupons manufactured coupons for post cereal and 2 target coupons for post cereal can i use in same transaction or does it have to be one? new couponer

    • Mel

If you buy 1 box of Post cereal you can use 1 manufacture coupon and 1 Target coupon per item. If you buy 2 boxes then you can use $1/1 manufacture and $1/1 Target coupon and use all 4 coupons for those 2 boxes.
You should check out the Store Guide section on this website. Colin has outlined how to use coupons at each store and she even has links to each store’s coupon policy, including Target!

the facebook thing klnd of sucks i don’t want a facebook :/

Make a fake account. Fake name, and make a fake email address to go with it. That’s what I do for all my FB coupons so all my friends on my real FB don’t get tired on seeing my like every page ever 🙂 and helps having all my coupons type emails going to one account (my “fake” one) and separate from my personal ones

Just got back from Target and the cashier was checking every coupon . I had 4 cans of pedigree dog food abd 2 buy one get 1 free coupons and she said I can only use one per transaction . I have never had anybody inspect the coupons so much! Was awful! Total turn off . It’s not like I’m one of those people with the binders (no offense ) .but I just had maybe 6 or 7 coupons

I did not have a good experience at Target today either. I got 12 cans of Iams cat food, had 4 of the coupons, 2 Motts juice drink, 2 coupons, 2 Smart Ones, 4 Lean Cuisine pizzas and Target mobil q for lean cuisine. The cashier was an older lady and I would have never picked her lane but there was only one other lane with a long line. So I put my coupons on the little ledge and held out my phone for her to scan and she just grabbed my coupons and said she was doing them first. I usually go thru them one more time before I hand them over but didn’t get to. She picked at all the edges of them and just seemed annoyed. The Iams ones beeped and so he looked thru the bags for them and then put them thru for the full 2.00 each. She scanned my mobil coupon and it said nothing qualified. I explained it was for the pizzas and the sized was correct so she did put it thru. So I got all the discounts I wanted but she was just not very ‘coupon friendly’. Collin got the pizzas, I wonder if her coupon was entered manually?

You know in can totally understand! Sometimes you can really come across cashiers that want to give you such a hard time because you have completely inconvenienced them BUT thats why we should always have our store coupon policy out ready for them to be shut down! Lol in a nice and polite way of course 🙂

      • Faith Banks

When I first walk into a store I look at all the cashiers and choose mine very carefully. I definitely stay away from cashiers over 55 because its been my experience that they don’t look like they want to take the time to do it without giving me a hard time. This is just my own personal preference and it works for me so whatever works for you is fine as well. Also I don’t like young girl because them seem to be rude, nosey and examine everything like I am committing some sort of crime. I have my best luck with male cashiers 30 and under. They don’t judge me, not jealous or give me a hard time. The right cashier will make your trip easier, the wrong cashier on the other hand can make your trip harder. I spent enough time clipping and planning and I don’t want to be at the register for 2 hours having an hard time. Hope this helps. Good luck
