Calling all you Target Shoppers! Tomorrow, 4/21, is typically when we will see all Easter items dropping to 50% off, with the exception of candy and food – which generally start at 30% off. Then within 3-4 days, we usually see items marked down to 70% off and a couple of days later, items go to 90% off. WooHoo! 😀 Keep in mind, not all stores follow the same schedule and the percentage off usually varies a bit from store to store.

With that being said, there are a few candy coupons still available that you may want to print while you can!  These will definitely help to sweeten the Easter candy clearance bargains even further…

Does anyone know if anywhere (walgreens/cvs/walmart) starts the sale ON easter?

    • amber

walmart starts midnight after Easter 🙂

      • becky

are you sure?? and what state are u in??

      • Lisa

There were some Easter baskets near electronics that had those nice (themed) headphones, prices were around $15, so if those go half off or more, phenomenal price.

    • Marlene

I just went to cvs and nothing Easter was on clearance

  2. Crystal

I seen a couple thing on sale at walgreens last night, 🙂 hope it helps
    Happy easter !

  3. Dep

  4. Erin

If everyone goes crazy buying clearance tomorrow, there won’t be anything left to mark down lower! Try to hold off if you can.

  5. luz

Toys r us have Easter clearance today

  6. sarah

Geez what took Target so long? Hy-Vee had Easter stuff marked down 25% on Saturday – LOL

  7. Mell

None of my target coupons are printing for some reason…it says “please pick a coupon to print” after I pick at least one. I tried in different browsers too…is this only me?

    • Cassandane

I’ve had issues printing Target coupons for 2 weeks. There was some sort of an update done. Since then, I can clip all the coupons, but when I click print it says “please select a coupon”. I’ve tried multiple computers and browsers to no avail.

    • Abi

      Mine is like that too..

    • Nik

Clear your history, cache, and cookies.

    • Kathy

I had that problem yesterday. If I clicked on the print button under the list of coupons selected at the top left of the screen it would not work but when I clicked on the print button at the bottom of the page it printed fine.

      • Andria

Going to try this. I’ve had the same problem. I have to select the coupons I want then close my browser and reopen it and then when I hit print it prints the previously selected ones. It’s such a pain

      • gina

Thank you so much for the tip, Kathy! This worked perfectly- It was driving me crazy!

        • liz

          oh good..thought I had a virus

    • Jen

No I have had the same problem for a month now

  8. Edy

Cvs clearance tomorrow there isn’t that much as it is.

One of the best tips I have gotten is to buy a plain, basic yet sturdy, Easter basket. About a week after Easter go find where the kids deserted the basket in house. Put the basket, the grass, and the plastic eggs in a plastic grocery bag and hide it all high in the back of a closet somewhere. Next year just reuse it. I totally forget what they look like from one year to the next and the kids do too, lol!

    • amani

My son’s Easter hunt basket I’ve been using, is the same one that held a baby shower gift I received 4 years ago.

    • Bobbi

We always use the same Easter baskets every year. We set them out the night before Easter and the Easter bunny fills them up. Then after Easter I put them away for next year. That’s what we always did when I was a kid too. I had the same Easter basket for years.

    • Darla

My kids are 16 and 19 and have had the same baskets their entire lives! My advice would be to purchase a nice “natural” basket when they are babies-not those plastic colored ones. It saves lots of money over the years.

      • meg

We do the same thing…my kids are now 24 and 18. Still using the same baskets we bought for their 1st Easter.

        • michelle

My Mom bought my daughter the Longaberger easter basket for her first easter and the we use it for display during the holiday and then the easter bunny fills it and hides it for her every year. She loves that he is tricky like that and it will be a basket full of memories for my daughter to have always!

    • Erica

We just did Easter at my mom’s house and my kids used my basket from my first Easter (26 years ago). My mom still has the grass and eggs too. We used the eggs but not the grass because I didn’t want to clean it up haha

    • Nikki

Clearance Easter baskets become Halloween baskets and vise versa lol I just make sure to get ones that aren’t too holiday looking. Like this year my sons was just and angry bird head and my daughters was a princess one.

    • Angie

The one I have was mine as a child, my cousins before me! I’m 48 now, but it is starting to come apart at the edge! I think it lived a long full life!!!LOL

    • Jcatz824

I have my Easter basket from when I was a baby and I’m 70 now. I’m not sure how it came to be my basket – I think it may have been my first Easter and been given to me by my grandparents or it may have been a fruit basket that was given to my mother when I was born and she kept it to use for my Easter basket. It is a strong, weaved basket. Sadly, I never asked the question when my parents were living. The Easter Bunny always knew which basket was mine and which ones belonged to my brothers and he/she just got them out of the attic each year and filled them up with all kinds of goodies.

  10. Jennifer

I bought big stuffed animals that sing and play music for $.94 cents at family dollars Valentines clearance. I got them when they were 90% off and threw them in the closet to save for Easter. Was a big hit!

  11. Jennifer

Also clearance Easter baskets that are the bucket style make good sand buckets.

  12. Kelly

Doc and Sofia the first color your own purse lots were half off at my south nj target. Hth

  13. patti

the day after Easter, anyone seen any candy deals at target yet???

    • mel

Candy won’t be marked down for a few days.

      • amy

My target had candy 30% off

        • mel

yeah, sorry, I was not clear. it starts off 30% (as Collin noted), but it won’t go to 50% & more til later in the week.

          • Jcatz824

What is the price before the 30% off? for instance, last wk. (4/13 – 4/19) they had bags of candy for $2.89. Now, 30% off of $2.89 would be a pretty good deal for me if I could get M&M’s because I have 2 Q’s I could use – a Target Q for $1.50 off 3 (8oz. or larger) and a mfg. Q for $2. off 3 (7oz. – 11.5oz) Guess I’ll be making a trip to Target to check it out.

            • Jessica S.

(from my receipt) Minus the Godiva bags ($3.99) all the bagged candy I got was $3.19 before discount, making each bag $2.23 with the 30% off

  14. Maya

Walgreens have candies marked 50% off.Not sure about the toys and baskets.

  15. Ivette

I am excited! My Daughter has a Minnie Mouse lovie we found it on Easter clearance last year for $.19. She takes it with her everywhere and has been replaced 3 times with ones I had to purchase on eBay. I am hoping they have some at Target as the replacements cost $6 each!! 🙁

  16. Jessica S.

    Fernandina Beach, FL:

Walgreens 50% off candy (not marked)
Target 30% off candy (marked) & 50% off other things easter that are not edible

    • Jessica S.

Kingsland, GA walmart 50% off but going FAST

      • Jcatz824

Thanks, Jessica S. – Even at $3.19 a bag (I’m hoping to get some Dark Choc. M&M’s), it would still be a pretty good deal with the coupons I have.

    • Samantha

Thank you for sharing!! It’s neat to see someone close by; I shop at the Target in Yulee!

      • Jessica S.

haha that is the one I went to, i forgot to specify since I went to the walgreens in fernandina. Yulee target 😀 not much random stuff for the 50% off, but there was a fair amount of bagged candy! but no cadbury eggs 🙁

        • Samantha

I know, I just made it there, and although there’s a TON of candy, I was disappointed that there wasn’t much else! All I got was a spatula for $0.47, lol! And yes, I was looking for the Cadbury eggs!! I haven’t been to the Walgreens in Fernandina; I’ll have to check it out.

          • Jessica S.

it wasn’t much better than the one in jax by chipotle, honestly. The jax one had more bagged candy but neither had anything super great unless you want small infividual stuff. I did WAY better at walmart!

  17. Jenn

I found some adorable Easter banners for $2.99, Hello Kitty and Batman “eggs” for $1.25, and I did buy some Cadbury Eggs because the dog ate the 1 egg I had saved for myself!

    • Jcatz824

Jenn – Please keep an eagle eye on your Dog – better yet, if you have a veterinarian that you go to please give him/her a call and explain that your Dog ate CHOCOLATE. Chocolate can be toxic to animals.

  18. GhostPenguin

All I want is some Peeps. Every store that had 50% off sold out before I got there. Target has some at 30% off, but they were over priced on them to start with. At 30% off they are barely 10% below what other stores were charging anyhow. I’m holding out for the 50% and I’ll bite. Wish I knew for sure when they would goto 50%
