[h2s_box]I was at Toys-R-Us yesterday in the Des Moines, IA area and I found select LeapFrog Tag/LeapReader books on sale. Most were marked $14.99 with some even less ($9.99). If they had a green sticker they were marked 75% off price listed, making them $3.75 or less. Attached to all the books were coupons for $4.00 off, therefore making the books free (plus tax)! I was able to get one Tag Junior book so those were also included in the coupon deal.[/h2s_box]
I decided to check out my store in Boise, Idaho and also found select LeapFrog Products on clearance and marked down 75%. The LeapFrog LeapReader Books also had the $4/1 LeapFrog coupons on them, which made for free items…

Just FYI – they have a TON of the Leappad Minnie + Hello Kitty at my local Toys R Us.. and have for months. Might not be in the leapfrog area, but in the bins as you walk down the isles. So keep your eyes peeled. 🙂 I believe ours has Monsters University as well. Greenville, NC
Check those coupons. My local ToysRUs had those coupons but they expired last summer

No others that I know of. They might not be marked so price check them!
So get this- the books ring up $2.98 and with the coupon it is a $1 money maker! I used them towards the leappad games!
I did this deal last summer and I was able to get the reader on sale and give our nice a great gift! I also got her the USA map for free and she really liked her gift.
I bought a couple last summer too, and then by Christmas we had misplaced the tag reader. Ugh!
I got 2 of the games for $6.25 each but somebody had peeled all the coupons off every book 🙁 also got two “sleeves” for the leap pads for $1.24 each, i was happy with what i got tho
Odd question but do you need a leapfrog thing to read the books??
No, the words are on the pages, but the reader can read the books, play games and music.
The books read like normal books. However, you need the leapreader for them to be read aloud.

I didn’t see any of the junior ones on clearance at my store. I did see some on clearance at target the other day that I’m going to keep my eye on. I didn’t see any peelies on any books there though.
I was told I could never use coupons on clearance blast items? I can’t find a coupon policy online.
The only one on clearance today in Danbury CT was Brave. Rang up at 3.75 and the peelie coupon took off the whole $4. Lots of coupons though. I also checked at the Babies R Us in Poughkeepsie NY last week and couldn’t find any Leapfrog stuff on clearance.
