Are you ready for Cow Appreciation Day? Tomorrow, July 11th, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,800+ restaurants fully dressed from head to hoof as a cow. Also, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory. Decision of what qualifies as fully-dressed versus partially-dressed is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator.

Need some inspiration for a cow costume? Check out these ideas from Chick-fil-A…

* Start with items that you already have at home – cow- printed accessories stashed in your closet will work perfectly. Hats, vests, scarves, neckties, pants, shoes, pajamas – just abut any cow-spotted item will work. Just make sure you’re covered head to toe!

* Wear white, and then just add spots. Throw on a white T-shirt with white pants (even sweatpants) and stick on your spots using black contact paper. If contact paper is not easily accessible, you can cut spots out of construction paper and tape them to your shirt and pants. If nothing else, you can grab an old white T-shirt and color black spots all over it with a magic marker.

* Go to your local paint or hardware store and get a white painter’s hat and overalls. And then decorate yourself with spots made out of contact or construction paper.

Does anyone know if there a limit per group? (like if 8 people all go in dressed as cows, or with cow accessories, will all 8 get the entree or combo, depending on what they are wearing and what the manager says)

    • makaylaisabel

There’s no limit. I’ve seen camp groups there. It’s supposed o be full cow gets the meal and an item gets a sandwich. They are usually pretty lenient. My husband wore a hankerchief and still got the meal. 😉

My girlfriend has 9 kids….they do this every year. I can’t imagine any kind of limit:)

I just went to Chic Fil A today and picked up a free sticker sheet of cow spots to add to a tee shirt for this promo, and the date says July 13 for this promo at the bottom of the sticker page. Mistake???

    • Jessica

I got an email saying it’s on July 11th. Maybe they change the date.

    • Kelly

They said that so u can’t get a free meal. They’d be closed! LOL

      • Lolita

Hahaha July 13 = Sunday LoL

    • Shel

Maybe they were left over from a different year. Pretty great they try to make it so easy for us to enjoy their promotion by providing the stickers 🙂

July 11 seems right. 13th is a Sunday, close day!

Totally off topic but if y’all haven’t tried their grilled chicken nuggets.. you have too!!! They are soooo good!!! I go to chick fil a a lot now just to get grilled chicken nuggets! YUM 😋

    • E

      I agree!!!

  7. Lindsey

I love their chicken biscuits, but they have donated a lot of money to anti-gay groups. I have stopped eating there upon finding this out. Just thought some of you should be aware of that :/

    • Guest

Makes me wanna eat there more! 🙂 Lol

      • Renee

Wow….get out of your cave much?

    • Anna

I was very impressed when I looked at the social responsibility page on their website the other day. They give an incredible amount of money to a huge variety of charities, including foster homes, youth and education programs, and food donations for disaster relief. The website says that over the last three years they have given over $68 million to over 700 charities. The recent giving stories show just how diverse the issues are that they support.

  8. Deeds

The way I see it is that they support Pro-marriage values not anti-gay causes. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

  9. adri

I am a gay vegetarian =) I skip it all!

  10. Jessica v.

I did the printable costume and got a free breakfast meal with coffee this morning. It was great and super easy!

  11. Beth

Adri, you made my day! LOL!
