Just got the cancellation email this morning. I tried searching for the items online and they are nowhere to be found. I still went to the store and tried to get them to honor the price, but the manager said he could only do it if the items were on their site. He searched for each twice and couldn’t pull them up. So I guess they’ve now pulled the items from their website to avoid people trying to get the price match. So frustrated. Oh well. Next time!
I ordered and paid for one pack of each and just got an e-mail today saying that my order was cancelled : (
Just spent 20 min on the phone with Staples because I used an e-card (I had printed it so I threw it away after I used it) and now the order was cancelled. They couldn’t tell me what would happen to my balance if they would add the amount back to the card or not….waste of time.
It is so frustrating when stores/companies allow you to place an order and tell you a day later oh well sorry, but we can’t place your order because we were sold out by the time we processed your order. Also they have no comparable items to offer in its place. That’s what gets me. Many of us placed ordered that were confirmed before site stated markers were sold out. They should honor those orders. They are sharpies. You’re telling e you have no other markers in Staples….. Please bad customer service in my opinion.
Took my order and made an inquiry on my checking account. Then they later sent me an email saying they didn’t have anymore. Very strange. Not happy.
Got the cancellation email today…so upset, from now on I’ll do store pick up
I placed my order and then got a confirmation email. Then the next day got an email saying that “We regret to inform you that all of the items on your order are not currently in stock.” Which is NOT the truth. I ordered and requested to do a in store pick up so I wouldn’t have a shipping fee. When I called the store they had them in stock. When I later that day went to the store, the store HAD them in stock! When I spoke with the people at Staples they said it was an error in their system. Office Max and Office Depot has Sharpies on sale for 25 cents a piece next week. It isn’t a $1.50, but still a great deal!
Does this mean I can no longer order these markers.

They weren’t sold out- the price on the website was a typo that they said they would not honor- I just got off the phone with them.
