* This little light is quite effective for what it is. It’s very compact, will give a good beam out to at least 100 feet when focused, and seems pretty durable. The price has apparently gone down since I ordered my first one, so I’m ordering another- with free shipping, I might add!
* Throws a long bright beam. Battery choice is good. The adjustable beam is handy and once you get the routine down, you can switch between two power levels and a strobe level. Battery loading is not necessarily logical, but easily figured out. Size is right and has quality feel.
Also, keep in mind that this does NOT come with the batteries (it takes a AA size 14500 3.7v Battery).
what is the difference between “flashlight only” which this is, and the more expensive 1 mode and 3 mode ones they have listed. thank you
1 mode and “flashlight only” are the same thing, just on-off. 3 mode is dim-bright-blink.

Ordered these several times now. We love them. A lot of light for AA battery!
I have bought several of this flashlight on eBay over the past year or two and given them to friends and family. Everyone is shocked by how much light such a small flashlight can produce. I would get the 3-Mode version for $2-3 dollars by bidding, so this promo is a pretty good deal.
One thing I would recommend is investing in a few “14500” size 2000 mAh rechargeable batteries. You can find this battery (with a little bit of looking) for less than $2 and each charge lasts as long as a store-bought, disposable AA.
Looks like the price has gone up.
