I have one of these (it’s OK, I like the Munchkin one better and found it for $4 at Walmart). But also figured out that a plastic produce bag (like the kind onions come in) with a knot tied at each end works great for washing sippy cup & breast pump parts. Holes are even smaller so no parts get lost, and then you can toss the whole thing back in your tote and you know you have every piece accounted for. Also keeps small parts from falling down the drain if you are rinsing parts in the sink (e.g., at work).

Even though my youngest is now 6, I still use my container in the dishwasher for odds and ends. Small lids to containers, dipping cups, even the kitchen sink stopper.

I was going to say the same thing! 🙂 They are great for holding those small items, as you said like sippy cup parts, and small things that may fall through the top drawer of the dishwasher.

My three boys are teens and we still use ours! We use it for sport bottle tops, jar lids, etc.:)

I use the reusable, plastic, ice cubes because I don’t like my drinks getting watery. I have the munchkin basket from Target but this looks very similar. It works great to keep those from falling to the bottom and getting melted. If you have small plastic pieces that you need to wash, these baskets are great!

Medicine cups/spoons, measuring spoons, parts to the food processor or blender, etc. These work great at keeping them on the top rack without fear of them falling down and melting!

Is it not recommended to put bottle parts, etc in the utensil holder that comes with dishwashers?
