Code did not work.
Just worked for me, rented a Dvd. You have to check the box next to Promo Code and then enter the code.
Also I rented at a Dollar General if that helps. I do not know if any other stores work.

If I reserve a movie online, how much time do I have to pick it up?
Until 9pm tomorrow the 29th, that’s the message I was given when I checked out.

It says I have until the 29th to pick up, but at the bottom of my email confirmation it says “Your rental period began as soon as you completed your reservation. You’ll be charged for today’s rental whether you pick up your disc or not. If you don’t pick it up, we’ll release it tomorrow so others can rent it.”
I was planning on picking up tomorrow and then have it until saturday by 9pm… does this mean I’d be charged for an extra day? Has anyone tried to pick up the day after they reserved?
No. They just charge you the regular rate if you don’t pick it up.
You also need to return it tomorrow by 9:00 PM, or you will be charged for another day.
I would make sure you pick it up today. I did a reservation for two movies and waited til the next day (the 12th) to pick it up and returned it the 13th and ended up being charged for the day I reserved them, the day I picked them up, and the day I brought them back! And redbox only wants to give me two free rentals, ha what a joke! No more renting from them for me!

If you place this reservation and don’t pick up your rentals, in 24 hours you’ll be charged for one rental day. If you pick up your rentals tomorrow, you’ll still be charged for today. For instance, if you reserve your movie online on Monday, pick it up on Tuesday and return it on Wednesday before 9 p.m., you’ll be charged for two nights, just as if you had rented it from a Redbox location on Monday. ”
This is what it says on their site. It looks like you have 24 hours from the time you reserved your movie to pick it up. I think you’d also have to return it by 9PM tomorrow too, since technically you started the rental today.
I tried at a kiosk in store and the screen read, “this code is valid at some Redbox sites, but this is not one of them. So it sounds like just online 🙂

I went to the kiosk and got the same message Marie did.
Last time I went to my kiosk and it said the code was invalid at that location then I did it on the app and it worked for that same box location if it doesnt wanna work @ the redbox try reserving it online or on the app
I just tested the code on the app. Do 1 DVD at a time & use the code above & its FREE. HTH
So it looks like it only works online? But one you get your free Movie online how do you pick it up ay the kiosk for free. I’m a redbox newbie!

Code does say buy 1 get 1 free but if you use the code one 1 DVD its actually FREE. So I just reserved 3 DVD but I did separate checkout for each one. Hope this helps.

DVD’s are 1.35 now?
Plus don’t forget that if you text SHOP to 727272 each day, it will send you a promo code too. I’ve gotten several codes for Rent 1 Get 1 Free, $1 off 2 rentals and to rent a Blu-ray for the price of a DVD. They all expire 9/2.

Did not work at the kiosk at Walgreens. Rented 5 online (one at a time) for free. Last time there was a promo offer I rented at the kiosk at Mcdonalds. Thanks for freebie! I love getting a free movie rental!

I went to rent Frozen for my daughter at our local Red Box tonight. They had the option to buy it for $5 so we did!
I rented a movie last week and was charged one days rental , that was right , and then charged for 2 days , I would not know end till I checked my bank statement…
I have not rented from the RedBox at the grocery store before. I will try it on the way home.
