I ordered one of these the last time they were on sale. Honestly, I was less than impressed. I didn’t think the quality was all that great and I had her name embroidered on it and it was so tiny you could hardly see it. Their customer service on the other hand was fantastic! They fully refunded my money because I was unhappy with the product! I ordered a pottery barn kids backpack (on clearance!) and it is great! They are the best quality!

I order one the las time it was on sale $14.99! got it before school started! My child is in middle school and it fits all her binders! zippers go all the way down so it make it easy to place things inside! Material is hard may be compare to other back packs soft
material, but I guess it is because durability! got the blue floral!

Listen I would buy these back packs over anything else. I know some of you don’t like them but when you can go and replace a backpack just because you didn’t like that it ripped or something. Why not buy a back pack for life and some. I have done this for all 5 of my kids. I have returned back packs to the store and got new ones. I am one happy L.L. Bean buyer. 🙂 I even have the blue back pack on top and it is for little kids around the age of 8 to 12. I would not have it for kids who do bring home a lot of books. I could show pics of any of my backpacks that I have. I would not buy the rolling back pack knowing my child didn’t like how heavy it was to get on the bus with a lot of books. We returned hers after a year and go another one. Yes this was free for us and if you put your child’s name on it they will put it on the new one also. 🙂
For those of you that use these for several years, what is the best way to clean them? I personally prefer to throw my daughter’s away at the end of the school year since it is usually super dirty.
I throw our jansports in the washer normal wash, and then either hang dry if it’s hot or medium dry in dryer
Even though it says to spot wash, I have washed my sons in the washer several times with no issue. I let it air dry. His was purchased at Christmas time his 4k year. He is starting 4th grade with the same backpack.

I HIGHLY recommend jansport backpacks. These are great for elementary school kids, not upper grades. Jansport is guaranteed for life, and I actually mean life….my cousin had hers since 2nd grade, she’s 31 and they just replaced it. My daughter broke her zipper last year, her carelessness not poor workmanship and they immediately fixed and sent it back. awesome company
Just clean in the washer that is what I do and if it messes up than just return and get a new one.
