   Not too familiar with games consoles, would this work with a regular Wii?

  I don’t think this game will work with the regular Wii-this is the newer version of the Wii that came out about 2 years ago-the controller would probably work, but I don’t think the game will

   No it will not work with regular wii only with WiiU.

   You can use the old Wii games on the WiiU, but not vise versa
