It won’t let me checkout – keeps throwing up an error?

Have you tried a different browser?

    anyone used these before?

    • JA

Yes, and it is a lot of work to put these up. I had to take down the mini-blind, wipe around the window with rubbing alcohol, put up double-sided tape, apply the plastic and heat up with a hair dryer to shrink-wrap it, and put the blind back up. Multiply that by all the windows you want to do. I think it really does help, especially with older houses, as long as they stay up or little fingers don’t mess with it. I don’t want to discourage anyone, but just be aware that it can be a project.

They’re a pain but my house is really drafty (contractor-grade windows) and they definitely help!

I put this up every year on a few of my larger windows. It goes a lot faster if two people do it together. It is very simple and really does help.

Yes, I’ve not used the 3M brand but the other major brand of these. Our house is 100 yrs old and has original windows. We put these up each year. It can be a pain but I don’t mind the project so much. For some rooms… like our guest room, I just put this over the blind. The two days a winter that we have guests, they can deal with having closed blinds. We usually stock-up on these at the end of season clearance and buy enough for the next year. We didn’t get a chance to do that in the spring, so I am a few short and will probably be buying these when I’m at Target tonight.

When we lived in Chicago in an older, drafty house, we’d put them up every year and it made a huge difference. Easy to install with two people.

Some dollar trees have these for. $1

I used these on a few windows last year and I can’t remember what I paid, but i know i bought them on special at Menards for much cheaper. I know it was under $5. My only complaint about them was that when I took them off in the spring, the tape also took off some of the wall paint around the window that I had attached it to. If you don’t have blinds, installing them is much easier.

This price is for 5 windows.

We used to use these every winter and they worked great. Loved them. Made a huge difference. Until…we got a cat. I think they only lasted for the first 30 minutes she was in the house. 😊

My thrifty husband makes them last for several years. How? He doesn’t trim the excess edges after installing them. Looks a little funny, but works great in cold Minnesota.
