Calling all Costco members! While out shopping at Costco yesterday, I spotted this deal and thought it was worthy of a post. You can score this Lodge Cast Iron Skillet Set (includes two Seasoned Cast Iron Skillets – one 10.25″ and one 12″, plus two yellow silicone handle holders) for only $36.99! Note that you can also score this deal online but shipping is $6.99.

To give you an idea on how great of a deal this is, the 12″ skillet alone is currently priced at over $29 on Amazon.com with fantastic reviews!

Lodge Cast Iron has been making quality cookware in Tennessee since 1896, when our founder Joseph Lodge settled in South Pittsburg. Over one hundred and ten years later, Lodge remains family owned and we make the finest cast iron cookware in the world. In 2002, Lodge reset the industry standard, by making foundry seasoned cookware. The cookware is showered with vegetable oil and baked at a high temperature to give it a coveted black patina. Now it comes to your home seasoned and ready to use. Seasoned cast iron is a healthy alternative to non-stick cookware.

I love my cast iron grill my husband got me for Christmas last year. I’ll have to tell him to stop on his way home from work to see if ours had this deal!

Is this regular price at costco or a coupon/rebate deal?

    • nicolegammeter

It’s the price I saw at Costco. πŸ™‚

The 12 inch skillet is 18.99 at Wal Mart so just a heads up that these two may be cheaper there. Beware thought the 12 inch is quite heavy and much larger than the largest stove burner. I have one and the weight of it makes me think twice before dirtying it and having to heft it around to wash it.

    • Erin

Yup! Me too. My advice would be to get one and see if you like it. I bought two and didn’t really care for them. I ended up yard sale-ing one and keeping the other for the rare occasion we need a cast iron skillet (camping) or when someone’s willing to dig it out.

        Erin,

We use our cast iron at home on a daily basis. It is non-stick and I don’t worry about anything leeching into my food, although I may get a little extra iron in my diet. All that is to say, it doesn’t just have to be used when camping. πŸ™‚

Also, not sure if you can use these on glass top stoves. Great for gas stoves and in the oven.

    • Valerie

I use it on my glass top stove and it’s fine. I just make sure that nothing is stuck to the bottom of the pan.

    • marie

Nope you cannot use of glass top.

    • steph

Maybe you can use on certain glass tops but the booklet that came with my GE says no cast iron. Not chancing it.

Is Lodge and Lodge Logic the same company? TIA

Thanks ladies, read all the comments, think I need to pass, I have a brand new glass cook top.

    • Beth

I, too have a new cooktop (two years old) and have been cooking with my cast iron on it since I got my new stove. It is fine. I follow the advice jacwooten posted from the Costco website about not sliding it on your glass cooktop. My stove is fine. I love my cast iron skillets so much!!! I have a family of 10 and use either the 10 or 12 inch nearly every single day. They are indispensible around here! πŸ™‚

Glass cooktops are a pain. There are a lot of things you can’t do with them. I would be very careful because they can scratch easily. I clean homes and many people who have these cooktops have scratched them with either cleaners, scratchy pads, or pans.

Also saw the mini cast iron skillets 3 pack for 9.99 with cookie or cake mixes
