Wowza! If you have a Sears nearby, you may want to head on over there soon, as they appear to be hosting a huge $1.99 summer clearance event in most stores! After receiving an email from reader, Jamia, regarding this clearance, I headed to my local Sears here in Boise, Idaho and spotted loads of great buys for just $1.99! They were lots of Flip-flops, summer clothing for the kiddos, men’s and women’s summer apparel items, bathing suits and more! What a great time to stock up up for next year…

(Thanks, Jamia!)

Thanks! I’ve been waiting for this. My store had plenty of items at $3.99 over the weekend. I know know where my first stop is in the morning. ๐Ÿ™‚

The racks are still 4.99 at most of the stores I have been to in the west central Florida area. The sales associate said that they are going to change the prices to 1.99 next week.

I found a BUNCH of unmarked kids pajama sets mixed in with the full priced stuff! Just look for short sleeved sets with pants and shorts and scan them. I found Disney princess, strawberry shortcake, despicable me, spiderman, justice league, star wars. I bought over 20 sets!

$3.99 is the lowest in Norcal here

Has anyone in the Indy area seen these prices?

Yesterday I went and found/bought 2 3 piece PJ sets and 1 2 piece shorts outfit. Total was $5.97 which I paid all in points. I could have spent more, but we are tight on funds until tomorrow. last time they had this sale, I was able to get 3 packs of Mens boxer shors for my husband for $1.99.

Stopped by a couple of stores in north central Florida this morning and told my sister to stop by some stores in south Florida. Both of us had no luck. All the clearance racks are still 4.99 and 3.99.. when I asked the assocoated there, she said that not all the stores do the sale at the same time. I was told to keep checking back through mid November because some stores start later than others. Its a bummer because a lot of the sale racks already looked pretty bare

No luck in a store in Soflo also!

Usually after the first couple days the clearance clothes get super disorganized. From your pictures, it looks like this years seasonal clearance stickers are green, which means that ANY clothing you see with a green clearance sticker will ring up at $1.99 (or $4.99 if your store has a slower markdown schedule), even if it isn’t in the clearance section. Also, Sears always has a summer clearance event in October, and a winter clearance event in March (sometimes April).
When I worked at Sears, the first week the clearance would be $4.99, the second week it would be $1.99, and about the fourth week of the sale (for whatever is left) would be $0.99.
Land’s End clothing is not part of the sale, but someone times they offer an extra percentage off of their clearance clothes around the same time.

If you are looking for cheap Land’s End clothing though, I would suggest shopping online and going to their “on the counter” section. Each week they have a new mix of about 100 clearance items (clothing, accessories, and home items). Monday they are an additional 25% off the clearance price, Wednesday they are an additional 50% off, and Friday they are an additional 75% off.
Last year I got $120 snow boots for $20, and a $250 wool and cashmere coat for $30 because I was lucky to get them on Friday from the “on the counter” section. https://www.landsend.com/otc/index.html?setPageSize=1000
(By the way, the prices reset to 75% at 2:00am EST on Friday. That is when I had to make my purchase to ensure that those items didn’t sell out, which they often do.)

Land’s End also has a lifetime guarantee policy, which means you can return their items at any time, for any reason, even without a receipt. (Don’t try that for Sears’ items though)
Also, Land’s End items are 10,000% better quality than Sears items.
